Literally nothing more satisfying than hearing that meaty chu-chick noise
What about if we had over-the-top muzzleflash and shot impact effects that shot out a shitton of dust in addition just anything to make it seem like it's got even more raw power [editline]25th December 2016[/editline]
The stock firing sound effect bothers me more than the somewhat clunky animations, to be perfectly honest.
I could live with a stock firing sound without bothering to change it, but the problem is that the pumping is so obviously louder than the actual shot that it'd bug me :v:
Speaking of pump shotguns in general, I feel like not nearly enough games actually utilize ragdoll physics to truly convey how much stopping power (or lack thereof) a gun can have. Usually whenever you shoot a cunt the amount of distance they'll travel as their lifeless body flops/flies/backflips onto the floor is totally dependent on the amount of damage you dealt to begin with, and that's about as far as the logic goes. I'd like to see more games where shooting someone with something with large amounts of stopping power but very little penetration like a shotgun would visibly stagger them back and push them a good distance whereas using a weapon with plenty of penetration and very little stopping power would just have them flop on the ground because they effectually just got torn through and through without much kinetic force actually transferred to them. CK isn't visibly capable of handling this at all seeing as even with mods the most you can accomplish is either have everyone get tossed across the map like they're made of plastic bags or have them awkwardly flop on the ground after taking a full 12ga blast to the chest point blank.

As with most things, this can be solved with mods; http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4371/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5149/? I use no animations and the action version. edit: ah I didn't read your post properly, you mean like different values for different projectile types? Projectiles do have a physical force value set to them, so I've made my magnum's bullets have a stupid amount of force behind them for shiggles. Speaking of, hopefully I can get the last update out soon, but I've hit a pretty serious roadblock
Oh I know that the engine is technically capable of applying certain amounts of force to certain projectiles, but it's not well done enough to make it feel genuine, in my opinion. It just means bodies will comically fly across the room faster than if you had used a weaker gun. This is even more visible in Skyrim where missile spells had a retarded amount of force to them, to the point where one could wonder if a Tamriel Space Program wouldn't just be wizards shooting heavily armored astronauts in the back with icicles until the ragdoll physics throw them into orbit. [editline]25th December 2016[/editline] Ideally though the best way to convey stopping power is to use something like Euphoria which has different behaviors for different calibers, meaning it keeps the animations into ragdoll system but makes it so that the animations are actually fitting.
If more games had ragdolls that did more than fly about and flop on the ground like they're made of wet tissue paper when they die / fall over, I wouldn't mind. Fallout 4 is especially bad about when you explode someone's head and the whole body just sorta splits its legs and drops like rubber.
I wish there was a PC Part Picker-like site for mod lists.
Just bought the seasons pass but i dont even like this garbage game maybe i should go play fnv what am i doing whithj my life
im not a scientist so correct me if im wrong but don't bullets actually not deliver enough energy to knock a dude down and that most movement after getting shot is the result of shock and pain?
im not a scientist so correct me if im wrong but don't bullets actually not deliver enough energy to knock a dude down and that most movement after getting shot is the result of shock and pain?
newton's third law right? the felt recoil when shooting the weapon would be roughly equivalent to the delivered energy, minus the energy lost due to over penetration, air resistance etc
im not a scientist so correct me if im wrong but don't bullets actually not deliver enough energy to knock a dude down and that most movement after getting shot is the result of shock and pain?
Well yeah, but I was kind of talking about lethal shots, which in a game would lead to someone ragdolling over (ie being dead). In those cases, whether a bullet literally went right through you or instead exploded on the surface of your body will change how you collapse significantly.
Just saw this while browsing http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62656/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D62656%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Looks pretty nice, I'm happy to see mods like this are still being made for NV. It really improves the quality of the game.

Somehow the combat rolls in this are snappier and to the point than most dodge mods i've seen for Skyrim.
I called the sprint Tommy Vercetii-esque tbh. :v: FOV on the first person sprinting makes it look a bit silly imo I think they're snappier because it's Gamebryo engine and NV and 3s Gamebryo was more snappier than Skyrim and 4s smoother creation engine. TBH I hope dodging has some sort of Invincibility frame, legitimately dodging in games like this is hard when the hitbox from enemies you can realistically dodge is too precise at times.

Oh god I saw the edit and I had a brainfart for a second,:v: regardless that's great,
I can't access any of my hotkeys in NV, specially in the MCM, I try to select but when it gives me the prompt to press the desired key, it doesn't respond. My mouse however works as it responds to that.
Anti-material rifle: 20 lb. Now imagine if it was a minigun instead, only it would still be swung around like that.
Baseball with mini nukes . I fixed it, Lutana was causing it for some reason
Decided to re-install Fallout 4 again after completing it three times previously. Is Far Harbor worth it on sale? £11.99 at the moment. (As usual, going to wait last day to see if it's a little cheaper throughout the sale period)
Far Harbour is worth the full price, so yes.

My needs keep getting stuck, they don't seem to get any worse nor does drinking/eating/sleeping seem to bring them back up. Anyone else have this issue/know how to fix it?
