That Great Khan's overhaul that dragbody is working on looks pretty great.

Wasn't this the one everyone shat on for ripping assets straight from other games and turning them into NV character presets
I mean it still looks fantastic, and tbh as long as the games are obscure enough I really don't care
I don't know this guy nor seen his released work on the nexus but I hope he credits them. Because honestly if not? Even crappier for an obscure game.
His mods don't get released on Nexus because it's mostly ripped assets
The nexus has fucking stupid rules on ripped assets.
those being?
because there's this little thing called copyright protection that involves rich companies and lawyers ready to sue your ass off

Basically you can't upload copyrighted material unless the official owner said it's okay and the nexus doesn't notice you.
It's essentially just up to complete luck because they'll sometimes miss obvious shit or have inconsistent criteria.
Also, considering none of those other websites have been hit by lawsuits over reusing models and textures for free in other games, I doubt the nexus would suddenly have to worry about those.

I believe he works with both ports and original meshes. He has several mods on the nexus like Couriers Cache and the nexus version of the NCR overhaul.

That's wrong. It's more like you can't upload copyrighted material unless the official owner said it's okay OR the nexus doesn't notice you
Porting copywritten material is forbidden unless the developers specifically state that it is allowed. Nexus admins have been told by GSC and CDProjekt that mods that use their assets are allowed. Most of the illegally ported content on the nexus typically aren't too egregious. More obscure mods tend to slide by because admins don't have the time to sift through everything, and even minor assets in more popular mods can be hard to catch.
I actually reported that one popular pregnancy mod because i noticed the baby model was a retexture of the baby from Fallout 3's Pitt DLC and Nexus did take the report pretty seriously and the mod had to move to LoversLab (although by this point i assume they changed the model and got back on the nexus). I don't blame admins for them not catching it on their own because honestly the Pitt Baby is a pretty fucking obscure model.
And furthermore why would you even care that a mod for a bethesda game uses an obscure model from another bethesda game
I mostly just did it for shits and giggles because it was a loverslab-tier pregnancy mod and I wanted to see if the madmen at the nexus would actually shut it down
and it mean, it is against the rules (and law) to be porting models from other bethesda games in your mod
And furthermore why would you even care that a mod for a bethesda game uses an obscure model from another bethesda game
Probably because owning FO3 doesn't give you FO4 so they can't guarantee downloaders of a port mod for one own the other.
What if TTW came preloaded with FO3's content? Or if Morroblivion didn't require you to own Morrowind to play it?
If OpenMW can't come with ripped assets I don't see why anything else should.
It was a mod for Skyrim, not for Fallout 4.
And it is just a single model. Full-scale gameplay mods designed to recreate other games are a different beast entirely and are generally too complex anyway to be hosted efficiently on the nexus.

Doesn't matter, it's Bethesda's property and its a small price to pay for liberal modding capabilities.

If you're gonna make a dragon dildo mod for Fallout 4 then don't use Skyrim's dragon textures

What game it's from and how much is irrelevant. I shouldn't have to make a full chart comparing every single Bethesda game for you to be able to figure out a basic analogy. If you walked into a house that wasn't yours and they had 10 lamps, and you took one lamp, that's still theft. Just because you only take one thing doesn't mean that for some reason it's not illegal to take it. If that were the case I would've walked out of Wal-Mart with so much free shit by now that my room'd be fucking packed with stuff.

As fucked as the pregnancy model is they didn't break any rules. The baby model is still in NV's mesh files unused as is almost every other model asset from the Fo3 DLCs :v:

The pregger mod was for skyrim
[editline]27th December 2016[/editline]
p sure its this one
and look, they changed the baby model. I'm not sure if it's their own but it's definitely not the Pitt one anymore.
The pregger mod was for skyrim
There are MANY pregnancy mods for both.
its funny actually, I went back into the archives to find the original posts about the mod and it seems that ganerumo and I had the same conversation that we're having now
There appears to be a glitch in the matrix.

It's a conflict with Sexlab
gonna have to reinstall or remove it buddy
Seen as I bought the Fallout 4 seasons pass I'm going to be starting another play through soon. I haven't played since the game released. I know I definitely want an alternate start mod, as playing the start just 3 times was enough to make me never want to do it again. Anyone have experience with these three mods and have an opinion on which is best?

Alternate Start - Infinite Answer
Start Me Up - Alternate Start and Dialogue Overhaul
Reading through the thread it seems like the last one (Start Me Up) is both the most recent and most liked, is this correct?
Also, since perks were the biggest let down for me in Fallout 4 (minus the dialogue... and world... and railroaded progression) does anyone have experience with Traits and More Perks and can comment on its quality?
This mod, Horizon - Survival Mode Expanded seems pretty kick ass, any one have experience with it?
Also if anyone has any top notch mods they would like to recommend that would be appreciated. Thanks!
If you're using any mods that give you items at start-up so that things can be configured, don't use Another Life; it strips you of everything after you get the items, so you'll lose the config stuff. I use Alternate Start, but Start Me Up does seem to be popular.
Start Me Up is pretty neat, that's what I'm using now

You know what's weird? If that mod wasn't overtly for sexual purposes, adding a ton of random mechanics like raising children is actually a really, really cool worldbuilding effect.
Except it wouldn't be and it'd just be creepy as fuck, don't need none of that shit in a game man.
Games like the Sims have child-raising and its just fine. Skyrim also added adoptable children just fine.
I also would like to mention that tons of games have romances; including Skyrim and are just fine.
I would not be bothered by having an adoptable kid that over time in the game would become an adult and do their own shit or be a follower with me in dungeons.
That sounds pretty cool for longer-term roleplay characters.
Personally I don't give a shit either way, its a video-game and pure fantasy escapism.
If some people are happy by role-playing a knight who has a family that is just fine with me.
On the other end of the spectrum we can and are encouraged to role-play vampire darklords and murderous thieves.
I won't even humor that other games allow us to go on mass murder sprees.
But its okay, you want to know why? Because its a fictional piece of media.
Anything is disturbing when its depicted in a disturbing or fetishized ways. There is a reason why Manhunt was banned, reasons I don't agree with, but there was reasons.
I'd kinda like to see something like that for Oblivion. For some reason Oblivion specifically always seemed like it had a sort of 'life-sim' world design philosophy. I get the feeling that the devs didn't just want to make an open world rpg but to make a breathing world, to hold a mirror up to nature.
Of course they didn't quite get there yet but I feel like with some extra content it really could be a 1st person version of the Sims (and I don't just mean the camera perspective). Oblivion's mod capablities aren't as good as skyrim's unfortunately but I always felt that Oblivion's base content and atmosphere would suit 'harvest moon type gameplay' more.
Is there any mod that brings over gameplay improvements from 4 to New Vegas? feel like playing New Vegas again but would like something that improves the gameplay even if it's just a tiny bit

Project Nevada is the closest you'll get, hell it's the mod that inspired a lot of the gameplay improvements you see in Fallout 4.
I'm on my new playthrough and I decided to start my character as a settler at Nordhagen Beach. Because of where I decided to start, could I potentially bugger things up? I'll explain what happened. [sp]After completing Prep School Quest and exploring the surrounding area, I made it to Pickman Gallery. I went up one of the fire escapes and jumped down into the ruined building where the Railroad HQ escape tunnel is. I went out the chained door and to the church. Surprisingly I could walk right in without following the trail. I went into the catacombs, punched in the code and the brick wall opened. Now, bearing in mind I haven't even got the courser chip. If I decide to kill the railroad team in the tunnels would that fuck everything up? When I get the chip who would I give it to?[/sp]
