Fuckin' lovely, the survival mod I'm using(Horizon) is conflicting with the Contraption addon in the weirdest way. Everything is there, except for the manufacturers like the Builder. I can spawn them fine with placeatme so it seems to just be a ui thing? Also speaking of Contraptions, Is there a way to automatically scrap weapons/armor nowadays?
About to begin installing fallout 4. I'm just wondering if i should go ahead and buy all the DLC's? Also. What mods do you recommend? Energy weapons and power armor would be preferable.
Also, I've never seen a raider take their power armour off to go to bed or whatever, does it happen?
doesn't power armor actually have servos in the knees so you can sleep while standing upright? also i wish there was a mutant that hid inside power armor, like how those giant hermit crabs in Far Harbor use car wrecks as shells. would be pretty awesome walking towards a derelict suit of armor and then it shuddering to life and sprouting a bunch of tentacles or something
Are there any mods for Fallout 4 that help boost performance? I think New Vegas is completely unplayable for me. Like, for the first few times I click my mouse my gun doesn't get the message. everything seems to go to slideshow once combat starts.
IIRC (based on assumptions) there is a car recharging station in the middle of an empty bit of road in FO4 west (?) of the corvega plant, this would suggest that even the cells in cars acted a lot more like power armor cells.
I thought it was a coolant resupply station? That seemed to be the equivalent to gasoline pumps in the Commonwealth of 2077
Now I don't argue that I know shit about modding, but does this mean the mod turned them off on purpose, rather than a bug? If so, what should I do to turn it back on?

You might have to backup the esp when you save, in case things go south.
is there a mod for fallout 4 that lets you mix and match clothing pieces? sort of like tailor maid for 3 and nv or in skyrim where you can put on whatever gloves or boots with whatever armor
This is the closest equivalent I'm aware of. Armorsmith also includes gloves IIRC
Thanks, now to find a way to easily gear up my setllers so this actually has a reason to exist :v:
So apparently Lutana (very important NVSE plugin for many, MANY mods) got taken down by the author, with this as the reason [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C5oM9kkXEAMqQNH.jpg[/t] you fuckin wot
I'm so used to playing FO that I constantly hit Q for vats in other games
V for VATS master race, I honestly forget that default Fallout 4 changed it to Q. :v:
I'm so used to playing FO that I constantly hit Q for vats in other games
I rebound VATS to the button on the side of my mouse for even easier access. And because I spam click it as I'm walking to spot things in front of me.
I thought it was a coolant resupply station? That seemed to be the equivalent to gasoline pumps in the Commonwealth of 2077
Given how expensive Coolant is, which a resupply is over $100, i assumed that Coolant changes was something you'd do once a month or once every few months.
Given how expensive Coolant is, which a resupply is over $100, i assumed that Coolant changes was something you'd do once a month or once every few months.
I believe the high price is because the massive amount of inflation in pre-war America's currency.
So even for a nuclear reactor in a car, coolant would still just be water, right? If they're literally just nuclear-warmed steam engines like our reactors today, do the cars just jet steam as they drive around? And if you run out of water, does that mean instead of your car seizing up/shutting off that instead your engine melts out of the bottom of your car and into the ground, leaving a deadly radioactive pothole for the next few thousand years?
Isn't the Lutana plugin just for having gamepad functionality with NVSE features? Eitherway I've got it downloaded already so its not lost forever. Just a real pain for other people, unfortunately.
Given how expensive Coolant is, which a resupply is over $100, i assumed that Coolant changes was something you'd do once a month or once every few months.
Comics cost $50 in fallout world, $100 would easily be equal to $1.

ShoddyCast has literally obliterated just about anything sciencey in Fallout 4. If I had to bet money on some sort of theory, it would be that after World War 2 someone found a way to extract the energy from nuclear fission to electricity directly, thus robbing most of the heat out of the reaction and making cooling in most light to medium duty nuclear applications negligible or reduced.
Also, water isn't the only option for reactor coolant. My personal favourite is molten salt :v: Though with how the tanks for it look, I'm thinking helium for the fallout vehicles? Wait, they use fusion, not fission, right? Then it's just some kind of cryogenic liquid for the magnets, possibly liquid nitrogen, which makes sense since I seem to remember canisters of that stuff popping up every now and then.
its not being overwritten though, if it was it would be highlighted as red, purple means it's the same across the files, green means things have been added but aren't overwriting anything
No, purple just means that's the master. Here's what FO4Edit says about it in the information tab:
Background color: White - Single Record Green - Multiple but no conflict Yellow - Override without conflict Red - Conflict Text color: Black - Single Record Purple - Master Gray - Identical to Master Orange - Identical to Master but conflict Winner Green - Override without conflict Orange - Conflict winner Red - Conflict loser

Obviously it's a Famas.
Don't you see it's an AK47?
I started a new playthrough where I ignored Preston & his gang entirely at the beginning of the game, I walked into the town where he was getting lit up by the raiders, looted the buildings while the raiders were distracted, and then I just kept walking. Yesterday, he randomly showed up after I slept at my room in Vault 81, and all he said when I tried talking to him was "You've got to listen to me!" and then walked away. I tried following him but he vanished into the elevator. My head-canon for this bug is that he died because I didn't help him out, and that was just his ghost haunting me. tbh I'm glad he "died"
Bit of an update on this. Sometimes after I wake up from sleeping out in the commonwealth, I catch glimpses of him in the distance, walking off into the horizon in the general direction of Concord. Other times I can hear a laser musket firing in the distance. I ran towards the sound one time and I was greeted by a couple dead dogs, presumably killed by Preston and his laser musket, as the minutemen patrols shouldn't exist with Preston still stuck in Concord. The Preston hauntings keep happening, it doesn't bug me as much as if he was still alive but goddamn I just can't be rid of this fucking guy.
