So apparently Lutana (very important NVSE plugin for many, MANY mods) got taken down by the author, with this as the reason

you fuckin wot
Why are some modders such fuckin drama queens?
Why are some modders such fuckin drama queens?
Especially on the Nexus, probably because the moderators cater to their every whim.
Somehow an eyebot got grafted to this swarmbot's ass

It was stuck to it even while it was alive, when it was dead and I picked it up the eyebot jiggled around at the bottom

What's Lutana do? I'm sure someone will re-upload it.
I still have a recent enough version

not sure which files you would actually need so I just uploaded all the regular files. I'm sure you don't need the log file but who knows with the .dat file

Mine's dated August of last year, not sure when the last update was...
I uploaded 17.1, as far as I can tell based on archive.org snapshots the latest non-beta version is 18.0. the version I uploaded still works with the latest nvse though so it should do the job
[editline]28th February 2017[/editline]
there may be a few mods that don't like 17.1 but it should cover 99% of use cases
Luckily I happened to download Lutana really recently in preparation for another FNV play-though (that I spent more time modding than actually playing)
According to the file details it's version 19.05, I'm pretty sure most things worked with butre's copy, but just in case

I think I need more turrets.

If you can't see your enemy disappear within a first few opening volleys then you need more dakka.
Well, I spent an afternoon modding Fallout 4 for another playthrough. Made it real stalker-lite, intended on finally finishing nuka world and finally checking out vault 88.
Man, my burnout with that was quick. It took me a few days to procure all the different mods I wanted and a solid afternoon just getting everything I wanted working, and the pay off was a couple of days play where I didn't even manage to finish nuka world. I've had similar cycles with 3 and NV, but at least I got a few good weeks play out of those before uninstalling. NV particularly had me in a vicious loop of perpetual modding and replays.
I've just hit such a solid wall with Fallout 4. I'm finding it really hard to enjoy. I'll have to give FROST a go, seems like the gameplay would suit 4 better than NV anyway.
On a side note, I actually didn't find the vault DLC to be that bad. It's the only settlement DLC I feel deserved to be a dedicated DLC, and it was worth it for the expansive vault settlement alone. I'm actually pretty impressed they gave us a settlement this big to work with, even if it means 90% of your settlement will be unpopulated.
I'm not even making a vault, I'm just making an underground shanty town. It's admittedly really cool and if I put anymore time into this Fo4 run, it'll be spent perfecting it.

But then the enemies spawn in the centre anyway and too far away from your defenses.
But then the enemies spawn in the centre anyway and too far away from your defenses.
I remember on my first playthrough fortifying my defenses around Sanctuary and getting everything shored up then coming back to a ton of radscorpions spawning right in the middle of everything just beating the tar out of everyone since they only had pipe pistols.
None of my settlements were ever attacked by anything because my defense rating would systematically always be twice as high as my food/water supply.

Honestly I actually don't like the bit where they wont attack if it's got a high enough defense rating. It gets boring as fuck at times knowing that I've built a whole slew of turrets that'll never get used.

The really blurry textures, yellowish lighting, and road background made me think this was a New Vegas mod until I checked the Nexus :v:
Its because that was originally an nv mod and that screenshot is from nv

oh shit you're right
why would you not retake that screenshot

The normal maps are ugly, also what's with people needing to do super HD 8K res textures and shit all the time? It's dumb and makes it stand out in a bad way.
I'm not sure if its just that Fallout New Vegas is optimised like a donkey in a windtunnel or I'm just vastly overestimating how intensive my mod list is but New Vegas for me is a stuttery mess.
I think it might just be Freeside, for some reason. It was one the places that was hacked to pieces in patches and development so maybe the mod that restores some of the original stuff wasn't a good idea. I'm in Zion right now and things are going ok in terms of framerate.

By the way I got a .45 Auto pistol so now my body is FULL ERECT until the end of the game. I just wish it was possible without mods or console commands to keep the Way of the Caananite perk you get from having Joshua Gram as a follower for the 2 seconds he's around.
How would you guys feel about a Facepunch Community Fallout 4 Overhaul? Where we all brainstorm ideas on how to rebalance the game's systems and design from the ground up as much as we can.
There's no real definitive Fallout 4 overhaul mod out yet and most of the mods that touch on that subject are either band-aid fixes or are just pure trash but I think with out combined minds we can make something of decent quality.
I don't know shit about the new Creation Kit but I've got a lot of experience with NV's GECK so hopefully I can pick up new techniques relatively quickly.

Like we could ever reach a consensus on anything like that... Like maybe a small group that outlined their vision for the game at the outset but taking the Facepunch community as a whole wouldn't work. We're just too ~special~ each and every one of us. Except me.
Also, this is probably from the NMC texture pack for New Vegas, but I found this.

Really fits in with Fallout.

A total revamp is ambitious, but most likely possible. My main quip is about Power Armor. The trailers made it seem like you were basically piloting a Titan from Titanfall, or a Walker Gear from MGSV. This un-frigging-stoppable engine of death that was truly a vehicle, and not just an expensive suit of armor that you need to feed ceramic and rare power cores in order to keep using it. My main idea is make the individual parts as common as the frames are now, but make the frames exceedingly rare. Like, two in the entire game rare. One at the museum where you get your first and most likely last suit of armor, the other could be a dungeon where you need to fight through some of THE toughest enemies in the game such as a swarm of Sentry Bots combined with a horde of angry Assaultrons.
Beat all those without power armor (because they'll respawn if you leave the area to prevent you from cheesing it) and you get your very own, certified X-01 suit. And most likely your only. Because those parts will be rare as well. Make the power cores equally rare, but last forever. Of course your pimped out Power Armor garage is still a possibility, just buy the frames for about a quarter of a million assuming you have maxed out Charisma and the trading perk and there you go. If you want to feel like Tony Stark and have a garage of power armor for cosmetic effects without grinding your life away, then you could craft prop frames with either real or freshly made fake parts added on. It'll be non-functional, but pressing A/X/E on them will let you pop open the back for the "ready to board" look.
As obvious as it sounds, make the Power Armor feel more devastating in addition. You get into CQC with a guy in Power Armor? I think you meant to say you got up close full well knowing he has the strength to rip you in half with his fingers. And the melee damage will reflect that, with hits from heavy melee weapons (assuming they don't snap in two) causing enemies to explode into pieces. That and make it so they're capable of taking a lot more damage and surviving it. That was a cute mini-nuke you just fired, that only took off 5% of my HP.

Ah ha but I've already done something about this.
