I also have two keys for dorm rooms at customs but I'm too afraid to go there because of the sheer amount of scavs.
Just put the keys in your container, thats what I do.
Just put the keys in your container, thats what I do.
That's not the problem though, there are insane amounts of scavs on the way from terminal to dorms.
My most effective looting strategy at this point is to start a Scav run, immediately go to an exit and keep the backpack and pistol they give you.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/tdedqw.m4v[/vid] I think I shat myself... Also, am I the only one who can't accurately figure out where sounds are coming from? Sometimes it sounds like people are right next to me, yet when I look around, no one is there.

Honestly that was getting me, I kept hearing what I thought were footsteps until I realized it was gunfire further away.
I appreciate the concept behind the "lose everything" system. But I really think it's harming the overall gameplay of Tarkov. I'm new to this, I've only played a few hours but all I really see are: A. Fuck tons of AI Scavs hunting down players like dogs B. Fuck tons of players with just hatchets or knives running around looting things into their strong-boxes before they die. If they let you keep a Makarov and one magazine everytime you died, or maybe every five consecutive deaths you get a Makarov with a mag or something there would be less of the hatchet-runners. I don't even know if that's a good solution though. I've played Factory like six times and only ever seen AI Scav's and hatchet-runners. Also a servers down for an update. Wonder what they're doing now.

The sounds seem all over the place most of the time. Not to mention it sounds like you're always walking on plastic bottles and shit.
The problem with Tarkov AI is that they know your exact position and even your stance without line of sight, and they can come around corners and put a round into your head literally faster than any human can react, even if you've got a gun trained on their position. On a hunch yesterday, I recorded some footage of offline play and played it back. A scav whose position I was tracking rushed around a corner and shot me in the head, despite me having moved silently between the last time he saw me and my position at that time. The pistol he was carrying fired at the very frame it was clear of the wall. I call bullshit.
Nifty hotfix for the bullshit pistols crap, invisible people, and even further lobotomizing of the ai.
Nifty hotfix for the bullshit pistols crap, invisible people, and even further lobotomizing of the ai.
Got a link to patch notes? Because I understood maybe a fraction of what you were saying :V
Nifty hotfix for the bullshit pistols crap, invisible people, and even further lobotomizing of the ai.
Full changelog:
Right now we are launching a hotfix installation for the beta version of Escape from Tarkov. For about an hour, game servers will not be available. List of changes Fixed: Rare bug that made players invisible for a while Chest rig exploit that allowed binding weapons and medication and using them out of secure container Bug that kept the equipment of the character intact if the player refused to reconnect to the existing game Fixed one of the AI characteristics that was handled incorrectly Corrected AI vision at night Bug that prevented players from using NVGs that were found on location if the character entered the game without one equipped.
Thank goodness they fixed AI night vision. I've been out in almost pitch darkness in the pouring rain, moving in a position I wouldn't be skylined at all, but had AI with AKs put rounds in my head from a hundred meters away.
Apparently the devs didn't fix the pistol gamma glitch completely, only one variation, so it's still possible...
At least they seem to patch things fairly quickly, that's always nice.
Just got this game last night Amazing gunplay, but as mentioned earlier in the thread, the AI is BS and I'm stuck in noob hell trying to level as a Scav Lots of STALKER vibes though, I love it
Gained a Saiga Lost a pump action Friend is holding onto an AK74N not bad, im still angry that i lost a shotgun and pistol because the game didn't load until i was shot because it spawned me in. The game really needs to fix that.
[t]https://my.mixtape.moe/qmrkpy.jpg[/t] Finally starting to build up some nice weaponry, sadly I'm too afraid to use any of it... :v: Also, I have way too many pistol mags.
Is it known how many scavs spawn per map? Is it the same every time? While servers were down I tried clearing factory and never counted more than 10. I (think I) cleared Customs with 15 killed.
My last raid to the customs was surprisingly a success. Like a goddamn ninja I avoided every NPC on the map, got into the dorm, opened 2 rooms and looted them and then got out. Bushes are my best friends.

I just insure big things like my primary, pistol, and rig/bag. Everything else isn't too hard to find and replace.
Anyone here have an extra Factory key? I don't have much, but I'll trade for it.
its funny how you could basically go back in time to 2012 and paste this word for word in the dayz mod thread and it would make sense
i know its a weird comparison but the way you lose everything but have the option to insure reminds me of eve just without a way to make money when first starting like mission running or mining in eve. im really torn on buying it it sounds like fun with some interesting systems like the weapon modding but i want to save so i can go have fun abroad over christmas
i wanna play this but am poor. is it worth it?
That was pretty spooky, but the ai is insanely op and will snap fire at anything. [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/yfyzpi.mp4[/vid]
what the fuck how did someone manage to make AI that was actually worse than the AI in Rainbow Six Vegas 2
I didn't think it was possible but I did it dual red dots [t]http://i.imgur.com/jXScIzh.png[/t]
i wanna play this but am poor. is it worth it?
Honestly, no. Not yet.
obviously got curious and decided to test which sight my character decided to look through [t]http://i.imgur.com/U6zMRH0.jpg[/t] both apparently :v:
