[QUOTE=Kill001;52557836]obviously got curious and decided to test which sight my character decided to look through

both apparently :v:[/QUOTE]
I had a player who put a holo and a red dot sight on a ak and you literally couldnt look through it because you look right on the bottom of the holo sight.
Also, been slowly plowing away at customs. [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/lzaitl.mp4[/vid]
Do I have to aim for the head with a knife or what?
I mean what the fuck is this
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/fppbjz.webm[/vid]
Or am I just too used to games where knives are one hit kills?

I've stolen some fucboi's tomahawk and now 1h/k everyone.
Same. I've never killed a dude by knife without them being completely stationary and me stabbing them in the face.
Factory has literally turned into some sort of "I Have No Gun and I Must Kill" Mad Max style Arena where all the players are running around without gear and trying to hatchet each other while AI hunt them down screaming at them like reckless slavs.
I fucking spawned into a Scav run on Shoreline in the gas station parking lot. The gas station was literally on fire but I needed to check my inventory so I went into the back room and I hear a AI coming in and I shot him seven times center mass with an AKS-74U or and he just shot me in the face with a shotgun point blank anyway. My scav run was done in fifteen seconds flat. A new record!

Occasionally you get guys with good gear going to factory (not sure why), where if you get lucky, you can steal some unfortunate player's pimped out items
Literally how I got that AK I posted above; he got sniped by some AI and he dropped all his good loot in front of me
When I spawn in factory as scav I tend to follow AI around because they're drawn to players like magnets.
man it's so nice being able to actually enjoy the gunplay in this game now without being quickscoped by some slav with a shotgun loaded with birdshot
Having loads of fun taking one of my AKS-74Us into factory and gunning down enemies with it.

until of course i get 360'd by a makarov scav after firing 15 5x45 into his back like just now ;)

Aim for the head, Ive been one tommahawked before.
alright what is going on with the dodgy fire rate for me sometimes?
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/bdtjzb.webm[/vid]
I was spamming left click and yet sometimes the gun just didn't want to fire.
Same thing happened with my AKS-74U.
Full auto, hold down left mouse button, and it pauses sometimes as if the gun had burst fire enabled.
shits gotten me killed so many times now
[editline]11th August 2017[/editline]
also pressing c after crouching wont make me stand back up

It takes one factory run to learn it's madness. I went in once with a backpack and pistol, luckily insured. Killed a hatchling in the first 10 seconds, but nearly bled out from getting chopped before an AI shot me a few minutes later. Now I know to go in there with nothing.

I've had reloading do that for me. I eventually had to go into the inventory and right click, reload. I wonder if it's a desync thing.
I've been looking at this game but I'm a little confused by the purchase model. Does Preordering get you access or does it get you a chance at access into the current phase?

At the current phase pre-ordering any version gets you instant access.
In the quest for more inefficient tacticool guns, I figured I would bring my tri-lit shotgun to missions

it's lit :ok:

It's beautiful.
I hope they add a TOZ-34 or BM-16
They wouldn't be too good compared to the pump action and semi auto shotguns but they could be cheap as dirt to make up for it

simply epic

You see Ivan, if enemy is blinded they can not shoot, for all they see is blinding ball of hellfire.
Needs more flashlights.

A+ scav run
do the shotguns in this game have typical vidyagame range, because i can shoot two whole tubes of buckshot into a scav with no helmet at like 30 feet and he just stands there and takes it.

I played around and did some testing in offline mode, and it's pretty damn close to realistic. I noticed maybe a 1 foot spread at 30 feet, and about a 2 foot spread at 60 feet.
While it might seem like you should be hitting pretty easy, keep in mind that there's only like 8 pellets that get fired. So if you're trying to go for a headshot at 30 feet with a shotgun, you need to be absolutely dead on for all the pellets to hit, otherwise you probably only grazed him with a couple or just missed.
alright, loaded into factory with a spare AK-74 I had, had scav vest and kevlar vest on aswell.
Walking through one of the building, enemy opens a door and starts shooting at me with a pistol while the door is opening. I try to return fire with my AK but it does the fucking bullshit burst fire thing again and then I collapse dead.
I'm gonna stop playing this game for a while, these servers are such fucking crap.

Why are you bringing anything good into Factory?
[QUOTE=plunger435;52561321]Why are you bringing anything good into Factory?[/QUOTE]
because I had 5 AKs and they were just sitting around being unused.
While the servers weren't so bad I was using them and easily getting 3-5 kills a game.
I don't have this game so excuse me if I'm wrong, but isn't the notion that there's nothing to lose and everything to win going in as a scav pretty unbalanced?
[QUOTE=Mango;52561396]I don't have this game so excuse me if I'm wrong, but isn't the notion that there's nothing to lose and everything to win going in as a scav pretty unbalanced?[/QUOTE]
You can only play Scav once an hour, you can't bring your secure container, you can't level up.
I've also noticed that there are at least three scav sub-classes: the basic fuckhead with a scav vest and a Makarov, the more advanced fuckhead with a vest and a shotgun and the elite fuckhead with BlackRock chest rig, PACA bulletproof vest and a Saiga/AKSU 74.

Scavs also spawn with helmets and snipers
Ran into a player the other day, fully geared and of a very high level, who's been doing runs with me every morning and helping me gear up. We've found untold Saigas on factory, he got me some sick optics for my AK, and on this last run, I found the holy grail: A Kiver helmet.
We're doing Customs runs now and then to try and find the factory key, but no luck yet.
[editline]11th August 2017[/editline]
What I learned from him - and we haven't died on Factory yet - is to use the tunnels to travel the map whenever possible, peek corners very carefully, avoid sprinting, move slowly and listen carefully, and Saiga shotguns are absolutely king - they will fuck anything up at anything but the most extreme range, and that map has medium to short range 99% of the time.

That is the best way to play tarkov imo. If you recently got the game or unable to gear up, find a friend who is of a higher level and just learn. I did that during the alpha, so when the beta dropped and I had other friends get into it. I would use my best gear to get them as much shit as possible.
I'd take in a helmet, Paca, and mp5 for me to only leave with a makarov, and for them to leave with shotguns and vests.
