Escape From Tarkov - "The DayZ you've been looking for! (minus the zombies)" - Games

Survived a clusterfuck at night, earlier. I should have been dead at least twice there. [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/wjrbsk.webm[/vid] Made it out, too. I got like 7.5K XP out of that raid. Not sure why Shadowplay broke the sound. Oh well.

So what's the general feel about the game for you guys? I'm kind of on the fence about trying the beta but the game looks really cool from what I've seen

The point of hatchlings is a zero risk pure gain run. Spawn in as scav, get popped either instantly or after fucking about for 10-15 minutes and lose it all, wait an hour, neat. Or you can be a hatchling, run to crates, dump everything in your container and that's 'pure' profit, then you can go hack up a scav and get his shit and maybe ya win, maybe not. It's just faster and safer than any other style of playing.

I meant it more in a way that it's the least fun way to play the game IMHO. Right now I'm almost exclusively playing Forest and even with Makarov runs it can be a ton of fun trying to extract. [editline]16th August 2017[/editline] Idea to nerf Hatchlings: only insured items should persist in the secure container after death.

Also scavs sometimes shout "CHEEKI-BREEKI". Fucking 15/10 Battlestate games.

They should add gear score. So you get matched with similar opponents. No more hatchling vs pmc pros matches. Maybe?

Loving the game but I'm having weird issues with some sort of lag(?). It runs perfectly smoothly but every two seconds or so there's this interruption. Really noticeable in the foliage animation and while moving. Just a split second of dropped frames or rubber banding or something. I'm on gigabit internet and my rig falls well within the specs. Anyone else run into this?

It doesn't progressively use more though so I don't think it's a leak.

Man, the netcode is so fucking weird when people start sprinting. Suddenly they start warping around.

I think I kinda figured out why people bring out full gear to Factory, there's usually a pair of dudes that camp Factory in full gear wasting other lesser equipped dudes and scavs, so I sometimes see other dudes with an AK trying to climb the foodchain and loot the apex mercs also turns out you can equip 6 flashlights on a single shotgun [i]I desire to know more[/i]

Holy smokes why didn't I do runs at woods before, the map is actually playable and it's really great for scav hunting.

I just had a terrible experience with desync - was walking normally through the woods with a friend when a hatchling somehow kills me desync'd - so on my end I didn't see or hear anything and suddenly died My friend on the other hand, saw a hatchling suddenly teleport in front of him swinging wildly after I died I might hold off on bringing out expensive gear that I hoard until it gets fixed

So based on the game region FAQ, if i buy it (my region shows as Other) i can play on everywhere but Europe?, and if its bought trough europe you can basically play anywhere?

If you buy as a gift you can directly choose the region. Was actually cheaper for me to buy the Europe version than Other.
