Got absolutely fucked over tonight. Jumped into a scav raid on Customs, 3 mins in (hadn't even left the gas station spawn area) when the game crashed. Reconnect and head down to nearest warehouse. Walk outside to see 3 scavs all stood in place. Unload into one, nothing. Stab repeatedly. Still nothing. Tried to extract, desync kept me stuck in that hell. Alt+F4'd and reconnected AGAIN. No server response. Closed the game waited 5 mins and managed to jump into a new scav raid. Player scav spawns in exact spot I do and whilst I wiggled my ass off for mercy (I know loot is loot but I had the crap Grach loadout) the bastard blew me away with his shotty and I damn near lost my shit. As much as I love the premise of EfT it needs some serious work.

I'm talking ten minutes before the input is actually registered by the server. You'd think the fuckers were hosting from Mars or something.
This is why i was really worried about getting into EFT, but luckily for four of us who we play with, game has not had bad desync issues, except for some random server wide lagspikes late in the evening. I heard they won't use time on netcode until they get most major features in (which i'm fine with), but i wish they would at least try to see if there is a way to address some of the most severe problems, since it's clearly working well most of the time. There are just these serverwide hickups that ruin everything once in a while.
I either cant play because of server issues, or absolutely everything is fine, with an occasional glitched item in a bag. Its pretty hit or miss in my 40 hours so far, but mostly good.
Desync is what really makes or breaks the game for me I've had multiple games so far where I bring out fully loaded gear and lose everything because the game decides I ain't worthy and desyncs me against a pistol hatchling [editline]22nd August 2017[/editline] also hilariously enough, my friend and I joke about the trader barter system and some weapons needing a obscenely complicated amount of random barter items to get a weapon At this point we call it a satanic ritual to summon [weapon name]
The time limit on collecting insurance is some high level bullshit. God forbid I actually have a life.
EFT Gamescom stream in about 2 minutes https://www.twitch.tv/twitch
Using a VPN helped me a ton with desync ( then again it might just be my internet being shit tho ) Also how do you stop bloodloss?
Using a VPN helped me a ton with desync ( then again it might just be my internet being shit tho ) Also how do you stop bloodloss?
any bandages or Salewa, Car, IFAK, and grizzly can stop it.
Well that was a disappointing stream for the game, just basically showed off the blind fire that was supposed to be in CBT and some hand emotes with the middle finger the quest was the biggest take away from this I mean that just gives you more incentive to go into the raids other than to loot and grind.
Quest system looks pretty dope to me, you do something besides just killing now, Some of them also have objectives ( a quest from the therapist required you to find a chemical truck, mark it with a beacon and leave ) Others dont even require you to survive the raid it seems?
There's a truck that's really out of the way on customs that you can climb into the back of, but there's never a loot spawn in it, and the only thing I recall in it is one or two large military style crates. It's pretty damn close to the very last exit too, so I'm sure it will be an objective for a quest in the future.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/bpytpj.mp4[/vid] 10/10
How simple math is done in Russia.
So, after 4 failed runs on woods i said fuck it, grabbed my spare shotgun and went to the factory.. Exiting i found 2 players that i somehow managed to take down in the heat of a fight with another group, and rushed it to extraction with two extra shottys and a ton of components This game is brutal but when you do good boy it feels amazing
I've been running woods for the past 30 raids, I'm getting pretty familiar with that map's nuances. Also, when you get a good Scav run:
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/zvugew.mp4[/vid] I don't know why he was sitting there or why he had a fucking m4a1, but i now have a gun that i'm too afraid to use sitting in stash (i could sell it for as high as 46k rubles if i wanted since i fully modded it). Maybe one day i will actually dare to use it, but it's such a nice gun and nearly impossible for BEAR to get (i assume you can buy one at some point as other faction member). [editline]24th August 2017[/editline] Also, what in the hell did i end up reading on reddit? https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapefromTarkov/comments/6vluak/exit_camper_gets_what_he_deserves/dm1auj9/ Talking about this foxfire1112 guys comments who thinks axe to the head is not lethal at all, unlike bullet hits to the limbs that should immediately kill a person. Yeah. Yeah! You just don't know how guns work!

this game really needs this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/vwY6xo9.jpg[/t] ironsights actually don't obstruct vision much IRL, I wish they would simulate that properly.

Also, right now you can get the M4 from peacekeeper at level 3, no matter what faction you're in. Also, a bonus tip for every new player! Sell every weapon you find on raids, except for exotic weapons, this way you'll level up traders the fastest since selling stuff to the traders counts towards the next trader level aswell.

At that range of course the melee weapon is superior but in general melee is wonky in this game. It's a bit too strong ATM.

To add to this, if you're looking to level up Peacekeeper, who doesn't buy guns with ammo in them, be sure to pull out and unload the magazines from weapons you intend to sell to him, and also inspect the weapon to remove any rounds or shells still chambered - this is the part that's easy to miss.
When the scav run on factory goes really well :v:, Not shown a grizzly medkit i had moved to my main inventory
I just found out that during a mission, if you remove the magazine, you can manually load or unload a single bullet into the chamber with the Examine screen of the gun. That is AAA quality gun porn.
Does anyone know why Fence always has a large stash of Alpha Containers? Cant see the point to selling them, or why you'd ever need to buy one either?
Does anyone know why Fence always has a large stash of Alpha Containers? Cant see the point to selling them, or why you'd ever need to buy one either?
I assume it's noobs who don't know what the alpha container does.

Oh NVM I'm too impatient, it's around 3:35:30.
Does anyone know why Fence always has a large stash of Alpha Containers?
