6 Gigs of 8 Gigs used usually starts offing a lot of system files and the like to your paging file, but that would just cause stuttering in your game when RAM is running out since the page file is where files are temporarily offloaded from RAM and put on the actual hard drive, which could be the case with each update if each update adds more and more to the game. Reading files from your hard drive, even a SSD, is a lot slower than reading from RAM, so when it needs something, you'll get a hang What you're describing sounds like some sort of cache issue or something. Like the more updates and longer you play, the more bloated it's getting and isn't properly deleting or overwriting. I would try reinstalling from scratch, being sure to get any files left behind in your appdata/local or appdata/roaming folders, and My Documents or My Games folders. Not sure if Tarkov stores your shit locally or not, if it does, don't delete your saves

Is this the dreaded memory leak problem?[/QUOTE] check what affinity the game is running at in task manager for myself and a couple other people, it was running at an affinity other than normal (realtime for me, low for the other people) which resulted in freezing and gpu crashing now every time i boot up tarkov i have to set the affinity of the game to above normal, which works perfectly smoothly

You should consider 16gb of ram for now if you don't want some major performance issues. Other than that, disable shadowplay and xbox game dvr. This helped me (because fuck xbox dvr and shadowplay is a buggy mess even if useful).

SSD makes a big difference as well

Thanks for all the advice. I'll start trying out each suggestion and see what works best.

SSD just makes loading much faster and reduces stutter caused by loading during raids. (ofc you have to have your game on ssd, but game is not that large so it's not a problem)

There were two in construction, dropped one and the other one ran off and was killed by scavs, customs is nuts right now with everyone burning through their inventory before the wipe

When is patch/wipe?

Hoping this game goes on sale at some point, I really like the concept and how the gameplay looks but it's not something I'd spend £40 on.

huh, maybe then the game will be playable for me. Since the latest update I can sort of play without too much of a problem, but as soon as a gun is fired near me I lag bad. Better than lagging as soon as I breathe I guess

those NPCs are funny now i had one sneaking on me w/o any sound then started to laugh and shot me before i was able turn ;) also they seems to wait for you to start loot (or detect you facing different direction)

i think they need to make it so getting shot stops your sprint, so you can't just sprint away while taking bullets to your chest

[editline]28th October 2017[/editline] Although I don't see why limbs don't work on a similar system to armor, in the sense that when you heal, you lose "durability". In this case, you would lose total HP you could recover on that limb during that mission.

I'm running around doing scav runs on shoreline right now to get a feel for the game, and during cooldown I'll just take a makarov on my PMC. Loving it, coming away with that new civilian AK thing most runs, or a shotty. Even got an SKS from a scav. Only thing is with all the starter gear in my stash I feel like I should just sell a lot of it to clear up the clutter and get some organisation going... I don't want to be a hoarder

I'm getting like 20 minute wait times on US servers before I give up, was working fine about 7 hours ago. Scav I can get into a game in like 4 mins though.
