So is the limited storage space going to be removed once the game goes out of beta or is it going to stay in throughout the games lifespan?
It's a key part of the game, it probably won't change much if at all between now and release.
There is a planned 'Hideouts' update where the whole thing will change and through quests or something you can upgrade your stash size in the game. Who knows when that will happen though.

Honestly the stash size limitations and the fact that they haven't implemented any features to increase it yet reminds me of the nickle & diming of customers that eastern european developers are infamous for
Honestly the stash size limitations and the fact that they haven't implemented any features to increase it yet reminds me of the nickle & diming of customers that eastern european developers are infamous for
But then again they only ask for one initial payment I have yet to give them anymore money from what I original purchased into. Sure they allow "upgrades" but they don't force anyone to and they have stated you are buying into unfinished product and the feature set isn't completed so when people bring up the pay to win (not directed to you) that isn't the case because everything will be achievable in game and there isn't necessarily any advantage due to how harsh this game is you can go in with a full kit from a big stash and lose it to a hatchet runner. So bigger stash off gate doesn't necessarily mean a huge major advantage imo especially now with those new cases they added and you can backpack stack + the various things you can put items into like the doc case. *Edit But trust me because I am EoD and when I first started I thought wow I got this nice stuff all this space but if you are garbage all that space doesn't mean squat.

Therapist at level 4 sells armour cases, for example - 4 of the heaviest armour fits in the space of 1. They have said that there will be ways to increase the actual size for free later on, but yeah that's nothing atm. That said, I am a low level pleb atm.

With my limited inventory I'm locked down to having to rebuy what I've sold which only grants me ~50% off, compared to if I just had the rifle picked up and stored. That's already a massive advantage for bigger stash, the next is armour, same deal there. I cant even buy forts or even the ability to expand my inventory with those boxes until I reach level 30, which is easily quite a grind, at which point I'm having to hoard all the trade items for it, also eating up limited inventory space, points up to fuckoff huge stash off the bat. The lynch pin that makes this all pay to win is that Good gear = Good chances of survival, good chances of survival = great chance to come back with better gear. If you have a big buffer between playing the odds there comes a point where you can always have a massive reserve of great gear while you just pawn off the mediocre stuff for the $$$, smaller inventory means smaller runs of bad luck will throw you in the trash bin with arguably less money to show for it. To put it another way, it's like two poker players, one has a big reserve of cash to bet away, one has a small reserve. Yes the guy with fucktons of money might lose it all, but he has a helluva lot more flexibility in the whole affair, one bad game won't ruin him. I'm not saying its completely pay to win, just that it's pay to get there faster. I know plenty of games that extend the grind out to stupid levels and I'm not sure how the devs intend to extend the grind for traders, levels, tasks, etc I actually like where it's at. It's not so short you buff it out in a few days but not so long it takes literal weeks of hard grind to get there. I just wish they'd implement the extended stash sizes already instead of trying to milk it.
note to self: 1 axe swipe from a hatchling is better than 6 ak shots to the chest
Man I have not been playing well today. I haven't been going super geared - just a single weapon and a bag or two each time, (reset account so I have very little) but I am just having a nightmare! Trying to re-get myself a factory key. Before I upgraded, my factory key was found the second time I checked the factory. I have probably tried 20 times and not found it so far recently!
the factory map or the factory on customs?

uhh i'm pretty sure helmet hitboxes don't currently have a slot for the face
uhh i'm pretty sure helmet hitboxes don't currently have a slot for the face
They don't. The face is protected. Have some memes.
[VID]https://gyazo.com/2322acef64137dec8f51c7bb8ad0f385.mp4[/VID] I would not want to be that guy after his team mates died
I'm convinced that the exposed part of your face is ALSO protected by kivers except for when I use one, used LNRCP ammo and everything, not that it matters considering I shot him in his fucking eyeball
They're protected, also they nerfed the ammo, doesnt make much sense for a Lead nose to penetrate any form of armour anyway. (Except if it were the open face ofc)
the factory map or the factory on customs?
Oh I meant the warehouse and dorms in customs, though my first success was the warehouse in customs that has it.
Anyone want a wallet? I've got two I'm never going to use.
Anyone want a wallet? I've got two I'm never going to use.
Why not? Wallet can be used to save space in inventory or to keep in your container to safely loot bucks.
he probably has a money case now
yesterday i found out that you don't lose your hatchet when you die. took away a lot of my fear of losing stuff (now i can get a gun from a scav after hitting them in the head with the hatchet, ez pz)
And thus a hatchling was born.

If you are scared of even losing a makarov, try hatchet running with the pistol in your secure, pull it out when you need, put it back in if you need.
How can you be scared of losing a makarov when even one scav run is enough to fund 5 to 10 makarovs including ammo and mags there's being careful and then there's just plain idiotic inefficiency
How can you be scared of losing a makarov when even one scav run is enough to fund 5 to 10 makarovs including ammo and mags there's being careful and then there's just plain idiotic inefficiency
I agree, I always run PACA and some AK at least now because it's so cheap, (fort and m4 when I feel servers are playing nice, since m4's are plentiful with the mp-153 trade in), but lots of people have serious gear fear. It's just a tip to help new people stop doing nothing but hatchet runs.
Nice to know shotgun slugs are still woefully useless and underpowered, rip. When they fixin that garbage?
he probably has a money case now
No, I just don't have a use for them, sitting on 6 of them now
-yknow i fucked up-
One of the worst purchases I've ever made.
