I have similar gpu and cpu, but i can barely manage stable 60fps with lower settings than you use. There has to be something else affecting performance. Maybe my ram is shit?
I've got 32gb of ram and it's installed on my SSD so it could be ram, not sure, if you have it on a mechanical drive I would move it to an SSD
Having 2 groups spawning right next to each other is stupid... just had that happened right in the beginning of a round.
NPC still auto instant aim and kills you , even before one can bring up ironsight

this is not true at all
this is not true at all
oh it is, NPC spawns in doorway (i came thru it, closed doors on both sides)
reopen doors, AI instant lock you while unloading whole magazine
irony is i knew the AI spawned there yet still unable to even react ...
and it happens very often, can rotate also faster than it should etc.
No one walks slow in this game. They all make so much noise, meanwhile I'm moving at the slowest speed making dick all for noise. So Mister smooth operator on Factory gunning everyone down with his suppressed Ak-74 and Cobra sights, kevlar helmet, AVS chest rig and Tri-Zip backpack is sitting on a ledge making all the noise in the world while I'm walking below knowing exactly where he is
So I pop out from underneath him and blast him with my Scav Grach and watch him flop like a jellyfish
I run up there, quickly just discard the crap I had on me and took his and pissed off to extract without even examining everything since people were everywhere

Just give me an obrez to go with it.
yo honestly this game sucks
So I kind of went into this game knowing dick-all about it aside from a few YouTube videos and I thought it looked like a great time. I wasn't ready for the hyper-realism of it, so the first 5 rounds or so I would just die out of seemingly nowhere from like 2 bullets. Lost all my shit in like an hour, tops. I'm not someone who plays a lot of milsim (or even takes headshots that seriously) so my aim is utter shit. Any hit I made felt useless because I'm so used to more arcadey FPS's where helmets don't actually do anything :vs:
Now I've played some 10 or 11 rounds and I'm getting more into the feel, getting more into the stealth of it. Less rushing, more observing. I hear sounds, I stay still and don't move. My aim is still shit, so maybe it's best for now that I do the silent approach, scavenge what I can for as long as I can, then escape without confrontation. It's becoming fun in the same way I find PUBG fun, where crawling around and observing is becoming more entertaining than mindless bullet-spraying, and the weapon isn't the main feature but rather my defense if things go south.
The more I play the more I realize this is the kinda game you ease yourself into and "get used to". It's like coffee. It's disgusting at first but after a while you kinda like it and once you find different ways to enjoy it you like it more and more.
is good game
as said before, also join the discord for some fun times

Holy crapioli
Went on a stealth-run, again. Within 2 minutes I am surrounded by fire from every direction, none of it seems to be at me though (I'm just caught in the crossfire).
I dodge my way out, and sit at the sidelines, observing the fight from a bush, behind some trees.
Pretty soon the sound of guns dies out and I give it a few minutes of silence before I decide to make my move out of the area.
But then I see a guy - just one guy - standing and looting a body in the middle of a road. I aim. I take the shot.
Everything that isn't grayed out/blacked out is my haul from his body, so basically everything except the hat, one gun in the backpack (the one I started with) and the ammo for the gun
:[t]https://i.imgur.com/ub4PBCE.jpg[/t]
I very quickly grabbed the best stuff I could see, any valuables, and snuck back into the treelines and made my way to the extraction point. 4,500EXP. Damn, that felt good.
All these plebs playing it slow, it's not the greatest way to play the game, at least not the most efficient
When I want to make money while having fun I go play factory, loud. Sure, one of you assholes might sneak up on me and kill me... But the 4 other raids I clean the map up I make way more than what ever I lose.
If you just keep moving, gunning, moving and never camp, they'll try and sneak up on where they heard you but yer already fucked off halfway across the map so you shoot them in the back of the head.
Just bought the EoD edition cuz I heard it will go off sale after open beta.
I am new cheeki breeki, any long-time/pro players here with some tips?
I have major gear-loss trauma so I usually do hatchet runs
Don't bring more than one spare magazine for the gun you're using, no sense wasting a inventory slot with a two round shotgun magazine when you could instead have 30 shells occupying the same space, or 120 rifle rounds in the same space of one 30/60 round rifle magazine. Always leave a spare slot for a magazine in your vest so your character can place the spent magazine back inside his chest rig instead of tossing it on the ground. Learn how to zoidberg out of situations not going your way and try to never put yourself in a spot where you don't have an exit, always bring painkillers with you, 90% of the time (200% of the time if you have body armor) a scav is going to black out a limb or two and as we all know being a crippled weeble wobble is no fun.
Practice in offline mode, get used to your map and where the "good spots" are and what spots you would rather ignore all together, offline mode can help you plan routes to take for raids. Getting rid of gear fear comes gradually, the more you understand the maps, gear, and flow of the game you will gradually lose your fear of losing stuff, it'll still suck, but you always get it back eventually.

Holy fuck that was an intense 59 seconds
I sprinted in Factory for the stairs that go up a couple flights, a guy with an AK74 walked in and I put my hatchet into his ear and couldn't believe he went down without ever firing at me. Before I could look at him a scav walks in and I beat him to death. I look down at the guy with the AK74 and pick it up, hearing footsteps all around, don't search him, and back up. A guy comes walking in, I put a burst in him. Then I hear footsteps above me so I back up the stairs and sure enough out he pops, and I put a burst in him. Then I hear a guy below me about to come up some stairs so I look over the railing and put a burst in him. I'm out of the bullets and swap back to the only other weapon I have on me and whack yet another Scav with it. THEN I loot the first guy I killed and fuck right on off
My heart can't take this shit
Dropped down as PMC in Woods, extraction point on the other end of the map. No biggie. I stick to my usual strategy, keeping to the sidelines and keeping my eyes and ears alert for any unusual sounds.
Not even a minute into the game so far. I hear rustling to my left. I crawl back into the forest and keep my sights at the ready. Out from a bush comes a dude, gunning for the abandoned house. Two shots in quick succession - bam, bam - he's dead. And whaddya know - he had an AK74N!
Quickly loot what I can and fall back to the sidelines.
After a while I hear a firefight go on between maybe 3 people. I sneak around to try and see what's going on when I see a guy on a rock, dodging bullets. He takes one to the head and falls right down on the ground. Giving it a few minutes before I inch closer, I see someone try to get at what I want. I fire two shots - bam... bam... He's a goner. And boy did he carry a lot of stuff.
Fast forward about 15 minutes and I'm halfway to the UN Checkpoint exit. Suddenly I hear Russian voices. I find a bush to hide in and I sit there for a solid 5 minutes, just constantly hearing Russian callouts and footsteps. I see several SCAV's walking around. I figure, I'm fucked. But maybe not? So I run for it. I get away just narrowly when I hear bullets fly around me, so I hide behind some rocks and peak around. BAM. Headshot on a SCAV. Another one comes up behind him, I take some hits and lose my left arm. BAM-BAM. Second SCAV dead. I wait for a moment and then crawl forwards to maybe loot some ammo. From out of nowhere, another SCAV shows up and lands shots all over me, but I spray him. RATATAT. Dead. I'm bleeding out, I quickly heal up with what I can, and then make a long sprint for it to the Extraction Point.
Anything not grayed out/blacked out is loot.

Basically a good round.
Man, I'm really liking this game now :v:
It's funny how they have managed to make this patch even buggier
Also if you find a Room 222 key with a blue tag on it and a purple background same as the factory key keep it, that opens up a room on the East wing of the medical Resort on shore line that has two fat military boxes, a gun rack and a gun cabinet, it also spawns five stacks of euros, Rolexes, bitcoin's, you name it
Decided to try out the game since the new patch, thought I would be able to play without FPS drops
after 15 minutes of waiting for the map to load I gave up
that's why i gave up with it. the only way to load any map is to first play factory so it caches most of the data. after that it typically works, but i shouldn't have to load in to one map to play the game at all
on top of that the game is still riddled with memory leaks that make it unplayable even on a nasa grade computer. i don't know how people get good performance because mine runs like shit no matter what I do with it
I think EFT is the new crysis

Lol I wouldn't mind having an extra set of eyes, there is enough shit in that building for several squads

I’ve managed to make it run in 1920x1080 on low settings on a BootCamped late-2012 iMac with an NVIDIA 680MX 2GB, i7-3770 3.4GHz and 28GB RAM. I’d say that’s a testimony to good optimization.
got nades , it's night, it's raining, there are 3 NPCs below me under hill
toss nade inbetween them, NPCs scream greande and spread in fast sprint
sigh, so much for stealthy approach
The scavs know where that grenade is going to land the second it leaves your hand, kinda horeshite condisering they're supposed to be the "average joe", they shouldn't flat out ignore them, but they shouldn't be able to react to something if they don't actually see or hear it
ok let me repeat "heavy rain, at night"
unless the grande lands on hard surface or metal or one of the NPC
there should be no way to hear it due to ambient noises
they really need to work on hearing solution for AI
and spotting (typical example of partial body part alerting AI thru objects and foliage)
had case where SCAV reacted on me while i was behind bush, behind house
and he seen me thru two small windows (i didn't knew about him until he fired)
also there are several bugs, NPC shooting some type of shotgun will crash the server
So have any of you folks got one of those 7 day New Years event keys? Would love to finally give this a go, reading your stories makes me want to buy it but i’m very wary without trying it first!
