What is that? Looks like simunition training but who is that guy? I also really wish I could have a chance to do shit like that, looks like a lot of fun
It was a short TV show called Special Ops Mission. Wil Willis is a former Army Ranger/Air Force Pararescueman, and he goes up against 4-5 former/current military/police in some military like scenario. They're given a couple camera men on the ground (at the Objective area, not with Wil at first since he's bum fuck out there and has to hike), and they have cameras on their weapons. And the scenario lasts for hours to a day, and to my knowledge it's unscripted except for the scenario itself, and a bit of padding when it comes to detailing objectives
They use real weapons that are modified to shoot simunitions. Not the plastic bullets but the ones with paint. If you like Tarkov you'll love the show. There's only about 6 episodes if you can find it somewhere. It used to be on Netflix in the US but isn't anymore
The one I linked is quite good and you'll get a lot of Dorms flashbacks

I loved watching that show with my dad, I wish they did more seasons.
Went in to Factory as a SCAV with a friend, turns out a PMC brought in a fucking silenced RSASS and fort armor in to it.
Another scav player managed to kill him and then kill my friend, then I blasted his guts out with the bolt action shotgun.
I now own fort armor and a RSASS
Did they remove the epsilon case?

Loot "detection"?
I also now get the little white dot notification thing you get when you can interact with a door/crate but now it pops up when I'm standing near items I can pick up, kinda nifty but also kinda fucking annoying because it stays even while you're ADS
there's nothing more frustrating than getting smacked by a hatchling in the first three minutes of a run, regardless of what gear you're carrying
I'm having customs runs with multiple hatchfucks spawning, too, the madmen surround and murder me and they seem to co-operate
I never EVER play factory for that reason, but lo and behold, I'm fully fucking geared out and instead of clicking customs I clicked on factory without realizing it. The second I spawn in I turn 90 degrees clockwise and don't see anything but a hatchet smash my skull in
the spawns are better now that there is more variety, but players STILL get spawned way too close to one another. it doesn't matter the map. i shouldn't have to dart across the map just to start playing the game because of fear I'm going to walk right in to a crowd of dudes that spawned in the same area as me. shit gets so annoying.
Every raid I play I instantly do a quick 360 and then just bolt, booking it at the start is a good plan most of the time, get to places quicker and loot them fast then bounce.
I only take it slow when I know I have close contact (P.S. wear the ComTAC, it makes a MASSIVE difference)
Also, didn't know this, but the higher level the player, the more his dog tag sells for, killed a level 30 and got 31K roubles, thats a free AK74 right thur

It's about 1k per level for tags right now, you should ALWAYS be grabbing tags, that hatchling you killed? Might be an easy 50k. The past two scav runs I did I found a couple tags that people left behind, ez 100K per run.
Also these matching times... managed to actually make it into raids three times today, all 15+ minute waits. Hope this load testing gets over with quick.

3 more days and the free weekenders will be gone

Say's he's fully geared, gets rekt by a hatchling.... What is your definition of fully geared? Because you cant kill a geared player in any reasonable time frame with a hatchet.
match times are fuuuuckeed

How do you get into the free weekend? Been wanting to try this but feel the price is a bit too steep for something I might not end up liking. Can't seem to find a way to get into it, I'm probs missing something obvious.

about 25%(i think) of people who had an account on the website but didn't own the game were given 7 day access.
Open beta is gonna be really soon anyway so it doesn't matter

When the scavs align
Also the RSASS is fucking stupid good and even though it's a semi you still get a RPM of 800 meaning you can feather that thing all day ur day without oversampling
How'd you get that FOV?
How'd you get that FOV?
When you first launch set your FOV to 50 (or anything under 75 [ it scales, if you want a less extreme FOV use a higher number]) then launch a game in offline, set the FOV back to 75 and hit save then leave the raid, next match you start will have the increased FOV. Next time you even open the settings menu it will reset it though and this does move all your optics away from your face
One of my friends and I went out on a raid in Customs. We managed to amass quite the loot amount apart from enough water.
Long story short, my friend died of thirst and I failed to find the extraction point in time. Where the hell do you find maps for this game?
Did a scav run with pals on woods yesterday. Come across a kill team, 2 of my friends died but me and the other mopped up the 4-5 high gear people; one with a scoped ak74n who failed to take me and my vepr out despite having the obvious range advantage. Left that raid FULLY STOCKED.
Devs need to sort their recoil shit too. It's the wrong way around... I find most my recoil comes from SMG's(Not an SMG but AKS-74u being the worst offender for no reason), then rifles and I haven't tried the RSASS yet but it looks like it has the same recoil as 5.56.
As it stands right now there's no room in the Meta for SMG's. They cost more than a rifle, recoil more than a rifle and do considerably less damage than a rifle. Sure they're good for killing masses of unwashed peasants and hatchlings but come across real competition? You have literally nothing on your side.

well we finally be getting clothing options with its own vendor, kinda hyped about that, no more attack of the clones

While I agree that SMG's can feel underwhelming against a fully geared player isn't the whole point of having said extra gear (fort/hemlet) to increase your chance of surviving a firefight? Realistically speaking 9mm shouldn't do fuck all to a PACA unless you pepper the living fuck out of it and you wouldn't even make a dent in fort armor.
The North Hollywood shootout is a prime example as to why you need rifles in situations where combatants are wearing armor, that shootout caused the snowball effect of our Police and SWAT/SRT teams switching to rifles.
Buuuuuut, despite an SMG's shortcomings against heavy armor they are still more than usable, you just can't aim center mass on a fort, go for the legs (both arms are 100% covered with fort even though it only visibly protects the shoulder region) or their heads, the PST GZH rounds are effective against helmets as these two guys can contest

That was with a naked $600 mp5, the Mp5SD has even LESS recoil (things a fucking laser)
Also yes, the AKS74u is one snappy pappy with its fucking ridiculous muzzle climb

therapist sells maps for all of the maps except shoreline. there's no shoreline map yet so you'll have to figure it out yourself or go off of the fanmade one floating around.
Is there some secret to getting this to not run like ass? It's unplayable :/

I never argued about their power VS a fully geared player, I argued they have no advantages an SMG would actually bring. That being, ease of use in confined spaces, more ergonomic in general, more spray capable. But that's my whole point, they're more expensive than a rifle so you just buy a rifle. 3x the power at 0.6x-0.8x the cost for negligibly more recoil and basically untouched ability to operate in CQB environments(It's hard to get around no matter what, quickly)
I really want to see some squad customization. Currently squadding up with friends in VOIP involves either sticking so close together that you're an easy target for literally anyone else, or constant annoying callouts.
Some armbands, backpack mounted color patches, or even infrared IFF patches and lights for night runs would be awesome.
I think they mentioned that there will be custom patches awailible in the future.

But the SMG's do have better ergo and manuverability compared to even an SBR m4 with a PDW stock in tight quarters, especially the MP5SD which currently can't attach a grip and is still a laser, once we get rails to attach grips to it oh boy. Fire rate is also important and needs to be taken into account, the quicker you can land consecutive hits the quicker that persons going to be swiss cheese, an Mp5 or MPX can beat an AK74 any day of the week if you aren't fucking up your shot placement and they are FANTASTIC point shooters due to how short their barrels are and how fast they swivle left/right compared to an AR.
They're a different classification of weapons and have different pro's and con's, appreciate them for the things they can do, not the things they can't.
Also our Scavs seem to be getting more personality
