Escape From Tarkov - "The DayZ you've been looking for! (minus the zombies)"

Doc case is taken, but I am still sitting on two marked keys if anyone wants them they're free
Well today I've been hatchet running factory because every other time i've taken halfway decent gear to a raid, I've been up against fully fitted dudes or a torrent of grenades.
Made about 500k. I've also been using the shitty melee mechanics/netcode to my advantage. If a guy has been coming straight at me, i start swinging when he's 2-3 feet away, seems a lot more reliable for hits and kills.

[sp]joking ofc[/sp]
Meanwhile AK's only have like 5 or so different handguards. #AKLivesMatter
Did they ever mention any intention to add a weapon sandbox along with a shooting range? Seeing how many mods each weapon has this could easily be the "build your dreamweapon" simulator.

right now you can obviously equip whatever you want and launch an offline instance, but i think the hideout is supposed to have a shooting range or for there to be the ability for you to upgrade it so it has one.
I'm frustrated to the point of not wanting to play until this netcode issue is fixed completely. I've gotten over a majority of my gear fear, but that doesn't change how fucking obnoxious it is to dump an entire 30 round mag into someone only for them to turn around and waste me in what seems like 1, maybe 2 shots.
I'm almost broke now, barely enough to put together a decent setup for a raid, and when I do go in fully geared I get gangbanged by a clan that surround me from all sides like a pack of wild dogs if the desync isn't killing me.
Let's hope this next patch addresses at least a few of the issues, because I'm done for now. Don't even care about skill decay at this point.

Just do my tactic get a AK74N via the Toolkits that you can buy from Prapor for 10k each a Scav vest and an IFAK and painkiller (I'm using 5.45 PP ammo) then you just play like rambo and even if you kill a Hatchling that is level 20 or more you most probably get the money back out of it via his dogtag to pay for the AK74N that is what i have been doing and i made 2 million roubles easily with that tactic on Factory by spawn rushing or catching the guys running out of it and getting paca and helmets from clueless people is a bonus
Also honestly embrace hatchling runs. Go on factory, don't even try to kill people, see when they die, fill your container with dogtags. You might kill a scav also. Great stuff.

Hatchling runs are the epitome of boring shit. You can easily get everything you'd ever want just playing normally.

Someone takes this game just a weeeeeeeeeeee bit too seriously.
I mean, obviously not him, because he doesn't care, and you know he's telling the truth that he doesn't care when he goes out of his way to add you not once, but twice.
If you buy this game now will you get a steam code when its on steam

Honestly i'd just say have fun with the game. Hatchling runs are great to get acquainted with the maps, do quests, and getting over gear fear. I'm pretty happy that I stopped doing them since I feel comfortable enough to go in fully geared without constantly worrying whether or not I will lose it and go back to square one. But yeah, just whatever makes people get the most enjoyment out of the game. I remember when I first started up Tarkov. I went in with the AKS that it gives you and lost it near instantly on factory and was pretty bummed.

Yeah, I agree. I do a mix of hatchling and low gear runs and insofar the successrate is more or less the same. At least by throwing some hatchling runs in there I slow the pace at which I lose shit :P

That said, can someone get me the deets on leveling traders?
I remember before it was just transaction amounts both sold and bought. Then I thought with quests you had to do them to gain higher standing. But is it actually a mix of both nowadays?

Yep, you just have to make sure you are the minimum level for the next trader rank. You also need to make sure your influence with them is sufficient (by doing quests). Last thing is to make sure you have enough sold/bought to that trader.
-- The hardest part in my opinion is just leveling up your character since that can take a while.

So I have to have player level, influence through quests and spent money?
It's cool and all but damn it can get grindy to level them.
Throwing in the occasional hatchling run or cheap ass AKSU run is fucking great. Chaotic madness all around in the Factory, most of the time.
How do I do the silent sprinting thing?

just walk at slowest speed and spam sprint key at the correct interval. Takes a few tries to get done right. I tend to sometimes also press the strafe buttons.

I always love it when someone is so good at a game that people call them cheaters. You can proudly sit there knowing you got gud. :flex:

Apparently you have to play it like Quake

EfT with bunnyhopping. You run across the bridge and some hatchling HUPHUPHUP's past you at 80 kp/h.

Ok guys, one at a time please
Hey guys what's performance like?
Short answer is arse. Long answer is arse, but it was even worse before, so at least it's playable. The biggest location - Shoreline - requires atnleast 12 gigs to run without hiccups.

Plus 500ms hit detection and player movement delay despite the tickrate and your ping being great
I don't even KNOW how they managed this
