People were jumping into bushes to level strength?
How would that even work exactly?
Also the nerf to strength is instantly noticeable so the advantage of having it at elite level is hardly noticeable (other than the elite perk, which I don't understand the usefulness of it in the first place, but), it feels very much like level 37 strength from last patch which is the level I was at before the wipe.
You got 1 point of strength every time you jumped, before they nerfed it. I never tried to train it so fuck me I guess for not getting in before they did.
Oooooooh, ok, that clears up what I was confused about, I thought there was some specific bush that people were using to farm strength.
Gaining 1 point every time you jump while overweight has been the same since release till they nerfed it with this last patch.
TBH leveling strength by jumping a lot kinda sorta makes sense, think jumping jacks (yes I know they're two completely different things but they are the most comparable example) but with a weight vest, ankle weights, wrist weights, and extra weight in your backpack.
I wear two III+ plates in my vest and am running around for 8-12 hours five days a week, it makes for a a pretty good passive form of exercise even if it's only an additional 15lbs~ weighing me down.
Also is there actually an FP EFT discord? I couldn't find a link using search and it's not on the #other-fp-discords channel
Welcome! Discord
How could you possibly have leveled it that fast without jumping overweight? Unless you just spammed grenades every round too?
Any time I am sprinting long distance at the start or end of a raid I jump as well, you can kinda sorta kangaroo hop if you time your jumps right while sprinting.
Also I don't remember the health resort being this popular last patch, people are showing up in squads rushing the resort at the start of the round where as last patch I used to have to wait 10-20 minutes before any geared players would roll up. Every single raid last night I was running into 3-5 man squads almost instantly after arriving at the resort, shit is nuts

After the controversy with the strength stat Nikita said they are going to reset it for everyone.
I heard a nifty idea off SA, why not have passive skill gain via hideout? For physical skills anyway. Use money to invest in equipment to BULK UP when out of raid.
So I'm just starting off, and I can already see why people buy the highest priced version of the game. Having all that extra storage must be nice. Also, this game can be so nerve-racking and stressful and I love it.
woods spawns are so horrible about 50% of the time you spawn with some rando
I'm so bad at this game . So far I'm playing factory and whenever I see a player we exchange fire and it's like my shots doesn't do as much damage as the other players, I am always getting killed.
Bring an auto-shotgun and remove their legs

Does that count as copy right infringement?
So where should I go as a beginner? Woods?
So we went as scavs into the shoreline ( fp discord group ), We head to the resort and there was a fight going out outside, so we enter a nearby building, i peek a window that looks outside and drop a single bullet into the PMC head, to my surprise it fucking killed him, we go out once the situation has calm down, we kill another PMC that was in front of us and i loot the guy that i shot in the head..Lo behold i was not ready for this

Other more knowledgeable people can speak up, but I think shoreline and customs are probably good beginner maps
Until you get a good handle on them and the game in general, I'd explore them in offline mode (either with or without scavs), or scav into them so you can relatively stress freely explore and also get to keep the loot you find
Shoreline is not a good map to play on right now as a new player, shit is ridiculously busy right now for some reason.
Customs is probably the best map to get familiar with as a new player because a lot of your quests are going to be centered around that map and it has relatively good flow once you know where the scav spawns are, always play in offline mode with scavs to learn your maps so as not to waste your gear. The key looting areas will be the dorms (if you have all the good keys [really the marked room is the only one worth checking]), the customs office if you have the customs key, and the old gas station which is dangerous for new players given the amount of scavs that spawn down there and the view angles you'll be engaging the little aimbotters from
Woods is a hit and miss, you'll have a roaming squad of bush snipers camping either the spawns or the extracts most of the time, you don't really have a lot of spots worth looting so your main source of loot is going to be the lumbar yard it's self which is the central point of the map and is the most dangerous to traverse given how many vantage points you can snipe into the lumbar yard from, to top it all off scavs are scattered around in rather inconvenient spots with lots of foliage that they have no problem seeing through making it difficult to safely engage them.
Factory is factory, the third floor office is really only good for looting the safe and the filing cabinets but other than that it's just cluster fuck TDM where 90% of the time you will die
Interchange I'm still getting a feel for, but there are no scavs currently because they rushed it out the door before coding in AI nav points
Is it me or have they just slowly been nerfing loot spawns over the patches... Used to be a gun every now and again in Factory locked room, now every time i've been there's it's been nothing, maybe once I saw an AK. And now with Shoreline I used to run through and saw atleast 1 m4 out of the 3 or 4 spawns of it, now I've only found one in the buncha raids I did.

Back to Basics
So I was just dicking around on factory while watching TV, and I shot a naked guy in the back with a shotgun at the door for gate 3. I was kinda disappointed when he didn't have anything fun other than a tri-zip backpack, so I just grabbed it and extracted. this is what he had in it

but... why? i dont understand
Someone might have grabbed the wrong trizip on accident, might have been their storage backpack, that or they were doing it for the "lulz we gun confoose sum wan"
Fucking factory is a magical place tonight, being killed by someone who's already dead, people taking 12g buckshot to the face at sneeze range, and trading kills with fucking max geared players as a naked, fuck punisher pt. 6

Also that Doc case is still up for grabs if anyone wants it, I also have a free factory key to toss someone, only thing I need right now is the 114 key for the fucking pharmacist quest that I have no seen a single fucking time this patch, but oh, two marked keys, two doc cases, two factory keys, all of the good shoreline keys, but no, fuck you for wanting a key that is required to complete a quest.
Dorm room 114? I got that key, havent had much luck with factory or marked myself despite finding them pretty much off the bat in other wipes. Got most all the sanitorum keys too.
I will trade you a factory key for that dorm room 114 key, it's the key for the smaller dorms on customs yes?
I'm level 33 and I've not ONCE seen that key this patch.
Yeah it's the one I did the quest with, wish they added a proper trading ground for already.
Would be cool to have the Mini-14 GB (folding stock model) as a USEC alternative to the AKS-74u. So while BEAR get the shitty automatic carbine, USEC get the shitty precision carbine. Alternatively, the AC-556 so it's just the USEC shitty automatic carbine.
