I'd still love to see all the other backer content. Really makes me sad to think it's stuff about the game and the world that I'll never get to see.

fyi Scott Benson, the animator/illustrator/designer, has a page up where you can ask questions n shit https://curiouscat.me/bombsfall can't wait. also jeez i didn't even realize there was a third backers only supplemental game.
Oh I missed that, rad.
Neat interview with the games illustrator/animator here about the look and feel of the game: http://www.zam.com/article/1370/rust-belt-gothic-lead-writer-scott-benson-unpacks-the-art-that-inspired-night-in-the-woods#
...And that’s a thing that we kind of wanted to do, we wanted to be a hyper-generous game that gives and gives and gives. And it nearly killed us, like, health-wise. I’m not even joking. In the last week [leading up to release], we were still working 24 hours a day. I had been working 20, 22-hour days for weeks [by then], and I walked into the kitchen and passed out and fell on my head, I whacked my forehead on the floor. And thankfully I didn’t die, or something. I was out for a while until my cat woke me up. And so, like, yeah, that could have killed me if I had fallen slightly different, I was lucky that didn’t happen. I think I had, like, a mild concussion.
lol god damn. yea if they ever do decide to expand on this game it's not gonna be for a long time I'm betting. Also, microsoft office's twitter account just tweeted some random promotional image that had Mae on it lol. They literally made that orange Mae themselves. It only lasted an hour before one of the devs noticed it and it got randomly deleted, but still, that's gotta be weird as fuck seeing Micorsoft tweeting one of your game's characters.
For some reason, "[object] Gothic" sounds less fundamentally disgusting than "[object]punk". Also, the fact that we haven't gotten a concrete public release date for that backer-only supplemental game is giving me some serious blueballs.

Awesomeee. Tho i'm not sure how I feel about them keeping that constant train sound going over Astral Train's song. It's separate in the rip since this guy has a clean version of it I prefer that way more

Just looking for a place to unpack the entire soundtrack and I wanna know if this is trustworthy without my virus scanner pulling me over for a ticket.
So I spent the entire day playing Night in the Woods and I gotta say it was an experience to play it. I really liked how good the story/music/characters were and it was fun from the start to the end (except for the Guitar Hero-ish segments because I'm trash at that :v:). Plus the little Demon Tower mini-game made it more fun to play in the meantime. Honestly I found it more entertaining that Undertale imo.

[T]http://i.imgur.com/4GXWE4x.jpg[/t] Aww they included a gregg pin with my shirt, bless them
I've been listening to Lori M.'s music from the soundtrack for like 8 hours now
I wore my NitW logo shirt to the samurai Jack premiere yesterday and somebody walked up and asked me if I worked on the game :v:
[T]http://i.imgur.com/4GXWE4x.jpg[/t] Aww they included a gregg pin with my shirt, bless them
They sell NITW merch? I'd like to buy some.
They sell NITW merch? I'd like to buy some.
It's linked on their website http://nitw.bigcartel.com/
There's already some great covers out there. [vid]https://a.tumblr.com/tumblr_omo9jxQj2v1r85hlio1.mp3#_=_[/vid] Source [sp] Finished it the other day and I got to say, if a game can make you that scared about getting a sad ending it's doing something right.[/sp]
It'd be cool if the game kept your journal entries between playthroughs. I know someone was saying it keeps track of it internally for the achivement, but it'd be neat to be able to flip through everything at once. Even just as an extra in the main menu, like a collection of all the entries you've found, would be cool. [editline]Babies![/editline] [sp]Also I can't believe I didn't think to go to the food donkey on the very last day till now. This game still throws new stuff at me after 4 playthroughs[/sp]
If anyone hasn't, I would very seriously recommend downloading and playing The Lost Constellation. Not only is it an excellent game in its own right, it adds a big chunk of lore regarding Adina and lends some credence to the[sp]cultist plot[/sp]being, if not arguably real, then at least justifiably possible.
[sp] They claim that Adina went underground and then went missing... oh fuck, did the cave take her? [/sp]
Playing Longest Night makes me sad. [sp]Mae remembers Bea being so much happier :([/sp]
[sp] They claim that Adina went underground and then went missing... oh fuck, did the cave take her? [/sp]
[sp]That would require Adina traveling across the world to the western continent Mae's grandparents immigrated to and walking straight into the place where Possum Springs would be. Either that or The Goat has control of a cave system even larger than The Forest God's forest.[/sp]
Or [sp]there are more unspeakable horrors in the dark corners of the Earth, and the Black Goat is just one of them.[/sp] Or alternatively, [sp]Adina had a fatal accident in some deep cave and no-one ever found her body.[/sp] That could work too.
the modding scene is coming along well (gregg route spoilers i guess?)
3 days since release and still sitting at the top of Bandcamp's best seller list [t]http://i.imgur.com/rB2LkVV.png[/t] seems to be selling pretty well. and so nicely in order too. tho earlier some metal album got between them on the listing and it was awful. [editline]13th March 2017[/editline] less than a fuckin hour after i say that god dammit trump fuck off
I''d love to get physical copies of the soundtracks. I like having a physical part of music.
I think they said something about releasing it physically, even on vinyl which would be pretty sweet.
I think they said something about releasing it physically, even on vinyl which would be pretty sweet.
Holy shit vinyl would be a godsend. Shipping costs to the UK would be horrifying though
I think they said something about releasing it physically, even on vinyl which would be pretty sweet.
It'd be my first vinyl then. Afrad won't be easy to get in Italy though
new patch soon to (among other things) once again try and fix achievements lol
I played the game through. Yeah it was kinda cool.
I'm a little sad I found the main/ending vehicle for the plot (spoilers:[sp]the cult[/sp]) extremely.. uninteresting? I kinda felt like it was out of nowhere and a little hammed in. If nothing else, an epilogue that was a little longer could've addressed it and the impact of the ending better. Especially figuring out [sp]who might've been involved and how people are impacted by it.[/sp] I have to agree with some people here, that the game feels rushed. Because the writing of some characters is fucking astounding and others are left totally undeveloped and awkwardly smooshed in at times (Germ, Jackie.) I would do another playthrough to get more out of it, but a combination of patches, clearly cut content that might come back, and the somewhat confusingly long load times that pile up are putting me off for now. I also found that as neat as they were, I came to dread the dream sequences as they felt like time filler after the first one or two. Still tugged some serious heartstrings at times, but it was usually from really benign stuff getting to me. I'm not exactly a stoic guy, but I'm hard to drive to tears and man did this game get close more than a few times.
