Never finished my second playthrough of it so it gives me a reason to go back.

Did the devs do the art for that I wonder?
don't see any mention of who did it on any of the dev's twitter accounts, so no idea. also here's the full version without icons blocking shit [t]https://i.imgur.com/2tBGcyW.jpg[/t]

Picked the game up on sale after completely forgetting I was meant to be buying this, now I see why everyone loves greg
Gregg's great, no doubt, but I found the Bea route much more satisfying IMO.
Just picked up the game the other day and have been playing it for the first time, I absolutely love it so far. Should I really stick to hanging out with one character, or is it okay to mix it up? I've been alternating day to day whether I hang out with Gregg or Bea, since I wanted to learn a lot about both. I'm assuming this is a game that benefits from two playthroughs too, to do the hangouts you initially miss. Love it so far though. The art and music is just top-notch, and I love the overall vibe it gives off. Some of it really gets in the feels too, but in a real way. Not over the top "feelsy" moments that kinda just egregiously dangle on a point and twist the knife to try and elicit more of a response from the player, but instead genuinely thoughtful and meaningful things that kinda get to you. It's really nice.

I don't think hanging out equally gets the achievements for following their stories, at least.
I'll be honest. I'd like more of what I've seen on the supplementals, ie Lost Constellation. While the game itself was enjoyable enough, I'd like to see more of the promised folklore, there were bits and pieces, and some stuff that, when paid attention to, would put bits and pieces together, but it never really delivered what I expected. The game instead chose to focus much more on grounding and developing mean-cat and her friends, and while that was great on itself (with some bonus points for having an incredible atmosphere to explore, which made it one of the most chill gaming experiences I've had to this day), it wasn't really what I was looking for. Just from the few conversations you have with him, I really wish you had more time to hang out with Germ? Granted I'm not done but I've only gotten to do the [sp]Sewer hangout with him[/sp], so unless I missed earlier ones, its really not a lot. Feels like he should have more to him, same with Lori, considering they have their own text colors and stuff. And Germ's character as a whole is really interesting me, but maybe only cus he's such a mystery.

So yea he was planned to have a bigger role but I guess they ran out of time for it. Will probably show up again in the DLC tho. [editline]2nd December 2017[/editline] yep here it is, tho might want to just wait for the DLC in case they recycled it for that. it's pretty unfinished atm anyways
Yeah, I'm actually gonna wait for the DLC to do my other playthroughs of this, since I'm a big completionist and I wanna do three playthroughs in total. I'll leave it a mystery until then so I can experience it, but it'd be nice to see him and some of the other more side-ish characters get a little more content.
Finished my first playthrough. [sp]I don't entirely see why people were disappointed with the ending? I feel like it was one of the few sorta nightmarish ending sequences that actually captures that feeling accurately. Like, when Mae was drifting in and out of consciousness and it was really hard to discern reality from what's fake, it gave eerily realistic feelings of like, when you're super sick and passing out and waking up and losing track of time and location. I really enjoyed the mysterious bits of the end too. I feel like there actually wouldn't be as much weight if we learned who each cultist was, if we knew exactly everything that had ever happened with them. I feel like they want you to think for a while after you're done, and it sure as hell worked, and I respect that a lot. I seriously think they nailed that feeling of dread and like, creeping anxiety at the end.[/sp]
[sp]it's mainly because the cult comes and goes so fast, imo[/sp]
[sp]it's mainly because the cult comes and goes so fast, imo[/sp]
I hope the Strange Autumn edition makes it feel less out of left field.
I bought the game over the Summer, but for whatever reason, I was only able to just get into it recently, and I'm glad I checked it out. I beat the game tonight, and I have the feeling it'll linger with me for a while.
eyyyy 24 hours till the patch drops

Just released, fairly long update for me.
I'm loving the new update. I loved playing this game over and over again just to be in the world and take in the atmosphere, so having more to explore and see is super exciting. I also haven't played it in a while, so it's already starting to fuck me up emotionally coming back to it, just hearing the music and seeing the characters again. It really is a game that deeply affected me the first time I played it, and I almost feel nostalgic for a game that came out less than a year ago.
I can't tell what's new or old since I haven't really played after the release week. The ones I noticed are the solo bass in her room, some new one-time NPC and improved character arcs (most notably Germ and the town council). Are the endings altered slightly? I finished a Bea run and they mentioned something about [sp]a road trip which I think is new..?[/sp]
Recently finished the new Longest Night campaigns and honestly they were pretty good. Really liked the music in the second one :ok:.

I just finished my first playthrough of the game, I went in blind and I loved it. I went Bea's route for the playthrough and I can't get over how well they were able to convey her pain and the tremendous burden that she takes on for her family, I just wanted to give her a hug the whole time. I loved how casually they portrayed Gregg and Angus' relationship, I don't even think they ever explicitly said that they were a gay couple. Bea left me kinda depressed in her ending, though, when she talked about Gregg needing Angus more than Angus needs Gregg and that they were sort of doomed to fail as they met and became different people. Overall a fantastic experience, and I can't wait for whatever upcoming content they have planned for the game.
Just finished all this today. Considered it awful timing, since my dad died recently and I'm numbed out and an emotional wreck all at the same time, but focusing on the game now it all feels so profound. It's insane how much I feel I relate to the characters and the setting, especially now. I wanna hug Bea too. :( edit: Also the music. Oh god the fucking music I love this game hhhhhh
