Nope. The expansions are basically just side-activities and don't even necessarily reward you very well compared to base game activities. All of the real endgame content is free to everyone.

Sorry yeah, when I said "base game activities" I didn't strictly mean stuff that was only at launch. I meant including all of the free updates since then too.
I just bought all dlcs, they werent very expensive. Now its just to figure out how to play this game. I dont remember much, shit is quite overwhelming.
I got Showstopper and this might be my new favorite weapon.

Division has come quite a ways, it's totally worth the $20 or $30 you can pick it up for often now. PvP combat is still meh to me, but everything else is fun

Farming Division Tech, waiting to extract some cache's to get the tech out of them, its almost gone when a group of four comes up and cuts the rope. I know I'm not going to be able to take out four dipshits alone, but I'm not gonna make it easy. And they paid in blood for it. I took two of them down, including one who came at me with full D3-FNC. Brought his ass down and caved his head in. So maybe they got me, but they got a black eye for the trouble.
Heads up, as a release anniversary celebration thing there's gonna be global events running all through March. Starting with Outbreak from today until the 5th.
After that it's (apparently):
Assault from the 8th to the 12th
Strike from the 15th to the 19th
Ambush from the 22nd to the 26th
Hope there'll be a sale soon, would be great if my friends would pick the game up and play the GE together.
How have they still not made Underground worth grinding for the GE? Christ almighty.
There are literally just two exotics left for me to get: Golden Rhino and The House. I have every other one. I had a really good night just before the event started. Had been grinding for a while trying to get the Urban MDR. Finally got it off a boss, then the next field proficiency cache gave me the Tommy Gun which is another I was looking for. Got another exotic within a few hours but forget what it was. And now the event is just dumping them on me. Got Big Alejandro out of my first superior, and not long ago got Midas which I somehow had never gotten.
Finally my character looks like he is prepared to fight at places contaminated with a deadly disease. Wearing half-face masks always felt really careless to me.

Been thinking of getting this game, with the DLC. Is it worth it or should i just pass on it? Because i recall what mess this game was on the first months, and i don't know if it improved somewhat.

The game itself at the moment is worth getting.
DLC adds extra gamemodes, as well as unlocking an incursion which is a really difficult mission.
Underground is a PvE, procedurally generated dungeon basically where you kill shit.
Survival is both PvE and PvP, and focuses on scavenging items to try and get strong enough to survive and escape from the Dark Zone.
And Last Stand is just PvP.
The game has definitely improved since launch, and has plenty of content both throughout the game as well as endgame.

No DLC is required to play incursions. They're all free.

Not as far as I'm aware.
The first incursion is free, but the other 3 are locked behind DLC.
I'm unable to do the one that comes with Last Stand, but I'm fully able to do the other ones.

After looking it up you're correct, sorry. Apparently only Falcon Lost and Clear Sky are free.
