That's one of the main draws that got me interested in this game as there are not many games that have it.

As in implemented in the game? No. But way back when it was just him posting pictures on /v/ he mentioned wanting to implement a way to beat the game without killing anyone or making anyone sad.
I really hope he hasn't abandoned the idea.

This guy really needs to start accepting and dealing with this kind of thing himself. This stuff is pretty standard fare for anyone who's ever had any project get even mildly popular on the internet.
He is never going to stop receiving dumb emails. Never. Probably not for many years. I know from experience. He needs to grow a thicker skin toward dumb emails and adopt a faster personal filter policy so he can go through emails faster. It's getting annoying how he keeps saying he's spent literal days on nothing but emails. Dude needs to get it together, because it's never going to change.
I'm starting to worry that he won't be able to handle finishing this thing due to the wild popularity, which would be a huge shame.

He's probably making these blogs posts seeing as he most likely really wants to keep on interacting with the community as often as he can, but I don't know, honestly I don't think I would bother doing this unless I really set some time aside only for that, I'd rather be working on the game though.
I also don't think everyone expects him to slave himself over a few pointless emails, he should honestly understand that he can never realistically speak to everyone if he's doing this by himself, but he can always dedicate some time to his fan base when he's taking a break if he wants to. I don't think I would bother with personal emails, there are certain things which don't make sense to talk about while developing a game, also from what I've seen he really doesn't have to constantly explain every single choice he makes, even for me that's really tiring, and when you work with other people you kinda expect them to get the idea behind what you are doing without having to literally explain every single little detail to them, I really can't stand that seeing as it adds nothing to the game, we are just wasting time talking about something that's not even finished, he's already releasing public builds so he could just keep on releasing and see how people react to the new changes, I mean as long as he knows what feedback to take he doesn't really have to constantly interact with the community.
There are some other things but, I think he's already doing a way better job at interacting with his community than most other developers would, he could probably tone it down a little bit just to keep himself sane.
TL;DR: He needs to relax a bit and slow down with this stuff, I think the progress videos are pretty good on their own. Even a blog post once in a while could work, he's straining himself a bit too much.

It looks fine to me on desktop Chrome. Seems WordPress doesn't play nice with whatever device you're on.

Goddamn, this game really has me hooked, I just find the idea of this utterly immoral villain protagonist to be fascinating for a game (since I'd say in 90% of games the "evil" option basically has no purpose to actually do).

I'm honestly starting to get annoyed by him with the email stuff.
Or better yet get someone else to do the email stuff.
He talks about how he doesn't want to babysit someone to do it until they know how to do it right, but that's literally what big companies do and he even mentioned big companies with the volunteer segment.
If he truly wants to fix this problem, he either needs to get someone else to deal with it or deal with it himself and not read every god damn email.
