Yandere Dev should set up a fundraiser to send people glitter when they email him.
It's unprofessional of him not to get a secretary/set up an email for useless suggestions, but it also sucks how people keep spamming him with pointless stuff. Hopefully the vid is gonna make some people realize that.

Yandere Dev is complete oposite of Senpai. He tries to notice EVERYONE. I'm starting to think that
apart his great update vlogs that person is an idiot.
If emails are problem that is stopping him from finishing the game, AND he sees that asking people through videos doesn't work then does he really want to finish this game? It's like with politicians here in Poland. Before elections: we can't do nothing because the other side is restraining us! During the elections: we will do things because there would be no one to restrain us! After the elections after their victory: we can't do nothing because the other side is restraining us! Bad example but still it feels for me kinda same. He've got good income from Patreon, makes update videos once for while to satisfy people... Or maybe he has various problems with writing the code and he uses emails as an excuse.
Well I hope I'm wrong. That guy has amazing ideas and got talent for making interesting update videos (maybe he could blackmail fans by saying that he will cut on quality of update videos if stupid emails does not stop comming).
He seems to be really a smart person and yet he has such trivial problem as spam...
I really hope this is the last we hear about the email shit. He's already made a few videos about it and frankly, the people who do email won't stop because of them.
I'm not a fan of his development model in general but this email thing is, quite frankly, annoying to say the least.
He has 3 options:
-Continue wasting time reading all his emails
-Get a secretary
-Make another email for his volunteers and dev stuff and go through his fanmail in his spare time
Complaining about the issue isn't going to fix it, nor is going through and reading every email.
It's getting to the point where we should probably send him tons of emails explaining why its a bad idea to read all of the emails he gets at a public address. Just thousands of emails telling him to stop reading his email.

Him handling this situation poorly doesn't give you a free pass to be a dick
He's a programmer, how can it cause SO much problem for him to set up a few gmail filters so all his collaborator's stuff goes to an "ACTUALLY IMPORTANT" folder/distinct email and everything else goes into normal inbox?
Maybe make another one for appearance of "bug" and save yourself like 65% of the suggestions and silly messages.

Gmail already does that. Set up POP forwarding on the other gmail accounts and they all appear labelled with the email account on the main one and you can swap between them. Even if you don't set up POP forwarding you just click the user icon at the top right and switch without logging out (you can even open multiple tabs at once!).
Everyone has flaws. If the guy is a control freak and doesn't want a secretary, let him be. Of course, seeing these ''Stop E-mailing'' updates isn't fun, but at least he's pretty rational about it and doesn't go full Phil Fish on us.
I agree that he should just use a filter if the vid doesn't have any effect though.
Sure, people have their flaws, but this is an absurd issue to be having. Appealing to the internet rarely works in the first place and it's obvious that it's not going to work here. Frankly, the video is going to encourage more people to send email.
He probably could have solved his entire email issue in the time that it took him to record/edit/upload that video. There's so many obvious solutions (split email, hire someone, get a volunteer) to a really simple problem, and it's frustrating to see he's taking a literally impossible road to a solution that is never going to work.
Unrelated to the email issue at hand and development, but I'm guessing the voice that YandereDev uses is pretty close to his real voice.

The voice he uses pretty much [i]is[/i] his voice. The fact that I didn't instantly recognize it when this game started gaining traction made me feel retarded since I used to watch his video game streams before this was even in development.
To me the only difference is how much it sounds like he's reading from a script for the videos.
