I wouldn't mind seeing silly cutscenes like that in the final game.

Lovely
Lovely
It's only going to get worse as the game reaches completion and it's reported on by more and more anime websites.
it should be against the law to kill fictional girls with green hair
Lovely
Well fuck, here comes a 15 min video regarding rude YouTube comments telling people to stop doing that.
Really hope Yandev doesnt snap and become that dude behind Invader Zim. Although, if that was to happen, could you really blame the guy?
I'm hoping that Yandere Dev makes Midori the final boss, with her immense knowledge of the game from bugging Yandere Dev so much
Imagine if she was both in the gaming club and the leader of the sleuths.

I like that he's working on passive elimination methods too. I like doing difficult things in games for the sake of it so a peaceful run in a game about starting murderfest in your highschool sounds fun.
Holy yes, moral decisions! Since you can't win them all, someone will turn up badly. In that video for example, either you do matchmaking and Kokona goes into prostitution and/or her parent gets fucked, or you leave the loaner's daughter traumatized (who knows until when), and with a jobless father. If there is more than one of those it's going to turn really interesting.
or you leave the loaner's daughter traumatized (who knows until when)
Judging by the video, for life, or at least the rest of the school year. To 'save' one person, you must break another. But hey, no one died, right?
The voice acting still makes me cringe.
The voice acting still makes me cringe.
At least their mouths moved in the cutscene, and it seemed the slightest bit better there.
The voice acting still makes me cringe.
so like an average anime dub
"Is that a raincoat?" "Yes it is!"
"Is that a raincoat?" "Yes it is!"
Killing people in the rain with those lighting effects would be hella sweet.
so like an average anime dub
Hey, no hate against anime dubs, most of them are pretty good nowadays you know :v:
Hey, no hate against anime dubs, most of them are pretty good nowadays you know :v:
Anime dubs are worse than the holocaust.
Anime dubs are worse than the holocaust.
I wouldn't go that far. Really mainstream anime with good studios tend to have acceptable to good dubs, Kill la Kill's really grew on me. But in other cases you get shit like Akame ga Kill's dub, where everyone seems bland or bored and it sounds more like a bunch of people off the street trying to sound shonen. Besides, this is an indie project mainly made by one guy in Unity with some help from others, finding genuine voice actors of good quality for something like this is pretty much almost impossible. Remember how many people complained about the voice acting in Dust?

Man this game really won't ever be finished, he just keeps on adding more and more without polishing what he already has.
This game really doesn't need a fighting system, especially one as complex looking as Yakuza's. Leveling up the strength stat to win against tougher enemies would be fine. Budgetless indie games like this literally can't afford to lose focus.

Yeah, no thanks. I think he should just wait before adding unnecessary things.
Would be fine for a sequal or something but right now, just don't fucking do it.
He doesn't have the budget, time, or manpower to do this right now. It's a fine idea but he's never going to finish the game if he decides to keep adding huge feature after huge feature like this.
One of the biggest game killers is being too ambitious, I think this is sort of where he's heading.
I haven't had a chance to watch the video but I think I already know what he's suggesting and he doesn't need to do it. It would add nothing. She's a school girl and she's crazy but she doesn't need to go around getting into brawls. Getting into a fight should be a difficult thing to get out of that you have to prepare for like it is in the current game.
That video is the most marketing the Yakuza series has ever gotten.
