Position the rival below the window. Drop the body. Enjoy success.

I was about to say "Well, looks like he's back to actually working on things as they should be rather than adding more stuff". Then the last 30 seconds happened.
He acknowledged his idea was shot down(from that one vid where he wanted a Yakuza style system of fighting grown men as Yandere-chan), yet still wants to add a fighting system?
And some of the Main Rivals will need to be fought to be eliminated, maybe? Seriously?
Why does he want Yandere-chan to fight so bad?

Why are you so against it?

It's possible he's getting sick of making the game and wants to do something new.

I'm more confused with what he's trying to accomplish with the game at this point.
The game is becoming more and more based around strength. The Karate club is literally becoming mandatory at this point, since you need strength to do almost everything.

I have no idea why he's refusing to let go of the idea because it doesn't fit the game's tone or gameplay style at all.
Try putting the same fight system in Deus Ex or Hitman itself, it wouldn't work at all and would be incredibly jarring due to the sudden gameplay change.
Hell, the present situation reminds me of Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. That was an adventure game through and through, but had a couple of random, completely arbitrary, and universally hated combat sequences.
Eh, well the next major update is going to be focused on using social interactions to eliminate rivals, isn't it? Honestly if you ask me, it just looks Strength biased because that's what he's been focused on getting complete first since they're the technically simplest to program.
As for that fighting system thing... Hitman 2016 uses 1-button combat for a reason...
social engineering is more fun and interesting than beat em up
more vids on that wud be nice
I can't believe he wants motion captured 3d cutscenes. He doesn't have any limits it seems.

He already has mocapped animations for some things though.
And all things considered, Mocap is basically mandatory if you don't want your 3D game to look like PirhannaBytes garbage - Like ELEX, look at all its Newtonian Physics-Defying movement and jetpack animations that look like something a Greenlight asset-flipper made.

Can't really blame him. Hand crafting animations to get the same effect can take lots of fucking time and even then they can still look off.

This is pretty cool but it seems very complicated compared to some of the elimination methods.
Will be a nice achievement though.

Muja Kina will be the most dangerous rival, calling it.
0/10 no Midori rival
Senpai, meanwhile: "God damn it I just wanted to study biology why the everloving fuck is everyone crushing on me, including the nurse and a fucking teacher? And how did I get my little sister to transfer mid-term, and why is this rich yelling girl telling me that someone has been stalking on me? GIVE ME A BREAK."
It could be that your doing him a unintentional favor by murdering- i mean, gently guiding them to an alternative path.

The first thing that came to mind.
"When Osana is implemented, I want you to feel like one of the final pieces of the puzzle has clicked into place. Instead of feeling like Yandere Simulator is still a giant incomplete puzzle that is missing most of it's pieces."
So prioritizing animations, voice acting, music, a story, an alternate biking game, etc is more important than implementing the most important aspect of the gameplay.
I'm no game developer, but I feel like prioritizing gameplay always comes first.

from what I can tell, he is prioritizing gameplay this way, in that he's making sure the game doesn't look, feel, and play like ass
he wants to ship Osana's update as the "demo". Not the pre-alpha sandbox meme, not just another incidental feature, but as the "i can show the game at this point to potential buyers via this demo and sell them on the game".
You want demos to look good. You want them to feel well designed, fleshed out, and a good representative of the final product you're purchasing.
If he were to focus 100% on Osana right now, and ignore the FPS issues, the lack of voice acting, the old temp animations that make the game look like a garage unity indie game, and any potential flawed mini-gameplay features, a potential buyer would grab the demo, go "oh hey there's this cool main thing but the rest is kinda meh :/" and that potential buyer goes to a maybe potential buyer.
Gotta walk before you run, and neglecting the visuals of your game to focus on gameplay 100% no exceptions when you've got a team of volunteers pretty much dedicated to the art side of things while trying to prepare THE demo of the game for potential buyers, is simply a bad move
