Apologies. I can't find the archive link for the deleted reddit threads but yeah, theres a reason that Yandere Dev had to replace some of his videos with censored versions.
Also, as mentioned earlier Yandere Dev regularly frequents Yandere Sim threads 8Chan /v/ and thats where I got the info.

If Yandere-chan stays female, with the latest build you're given the option to choose the gender of your senpai. As of now there is only the male option though.
I also hope you'll be able to change senpai's voice.
The girl with different hair (not sure if Yandere-chan with outfit or someone else) made me think... It'd be cool if you could manipulate others to the point you can [I]control them[/I] (literally move them around), and kill people or just jump off the roof as them.
Also I'll wait for the new build to explain how someone can lose a bra on the grass like that.

Hard Mode: The competition girls do not care what others think about them and Senpai just wants to get it on with any first girl.

[sp]actually, you'll have the option to achieve your goals nonviolently. the end game is planned to have stuff like setting rivals up with other boys, and just by damaging the girl's reputation to -100 she'll just be rejected by senpai and that'll be the end of it. whether or not the whole game can be beaten without a single person dying remains to be seen. I imagine it'll be the most difficult route to take. the whole point seems to be that you are in total control of how fucked up things get. [/sp]

The bullying and harassment part of the game sounds more fun than the actual murdering stuff.
Kinda worried if this game will even make onto steam... seems like something that goes beyond just offending the overoffended hipsters.

If this game is big enough I highly doubt it, there's much darker games on Steam.
Aren't there erotic loli visual novels on Steam now? I doubt this will cause too much of a drama on greenlight if so.

I was bullied as a kid to the point where an 11 year old me actually started contemplating suicide.
This doesn't trigger me in the slightest (and bullying plotlines in visual novels, for example, always get me right in the feels), because its a game inspired by anime tropes that deal with this kind of psychological shit. You're dealing with all those anime plotlines of the murderously over-attached yandere from the side of the villain.

I remember reading way back (like 2 years) that he was planning on developing a pacifist playthrough; where instead of killing your competition or ruining their lives, you instead find someone that likes them and hook them up.

Killing people and hiding the evidence? That's okay, but bullying? How horrible!

I think if anything it's more of how it takes its toll.
Killing someone and then hiding the evidence is a fast death and something that can be pinned onto the murderer specifically if caught. Destroying someone's reputation and watching them slowly lose all connections they once had and having all of their former friends turn against them just prolongs the suffering. It's psychological trauma that ends with a self-inflicted death or Yandere-chan coming in for an easy kill with no witnesses. There's something more sinister and dark about slowly taking someone down through psychological means before taking them down through physical means. At least with directly murdering them the process is quick and it's over.
Also I'm sure a lot more people have had some experience with bullying growing up, so it hits closer to home for them. Children and teenagers can be horrible pieces of shit to one another, and even some adults don't grow out of that vindictive mindset.
