It's way better than UT2k3/2k4's water, which looks and behaves like Jello. I love fucking around with the water in UE2 games like Killing Floor and Postal 2 because of how shit the water is. It looks like you're messing with a giant vat of jello, not water.

I didn't feel too good about the previous face since it was just a copy-pasted image of the Male_09 citizen from HL2 and it didn't really fit in well with the cop theme, so I decided to make this face as a replacement.

It has two new faces including the James replacement, and the unneeded leg armor is replaced with stripes on the side of the pants, the kind you would see on track pants. Also, the level design and lighting in that Lament][ map makes me want to have a fucking Cloud City-esque lightsaber duel in it.

Speaking of which, I wish I could try out those Star Wars maps that someone named BadKarma made. Apparently, the reason they're so hard to find was of copyright issues back then or whatever. That's what I heard, at least.

For those of you who has Windows XP or whatever, you think you could download this Star Wars map pack and see if you can get the installer inside the zip to work?

Apparently, there's an installer in the zip file to install the maps instead of just .unrs and the such, so assuming that installers on downloaded zips was a big thing back in the 2000s with all the XP and Vista comps, I'm guessing that it's only supposed to work on older computers or CD-installed UT99. I tried using the installer myself, but the files don't actually seem to install, and I'm left with a "Uninstall Star Wars MapPack" application in the programs folder.

I find it sad how a lot of potentially decent maps for Unreal Tournament that were released a while ago will be lost and forgotten due to obscurity/lack of download sources.

Hell, the only reason I know about some of the maps's existance was that I just so happened to have found them along with a screenshot of said maps on some personal map collection websites. Even then, I would have to use that Internet Archive website to try and find a working link, which is somewhat rare to find considering that a lot of these maps were hosted on fileplanet, which was one of the many sites that the WayBack Machine has not recorded much of.

Sure, some of those maps were uploaded on well known sites like MapRaider and Unreal Playground, but is just so many kick ass maps out there that hardly anyone knows about or has a working link. There's even a couple maps made by well known mappers back in the day that I could not find a working link to, even if I used that WayBack Machine thing.

There was this one map called DM-Tangonis (Which was apparently made by a guy by the name of Strogg. I'm going to assume that he was a well-respected mapper back then) on a random Russian map collection while I was trying to look for another map. The site didn't have any download links and instead had a link to NaliCity, which is dead website at this time. I tried going to the author's website via WayBack Machine but the download links lead to fileplanet, and nalicity via WayBack Machine doesn't seem to have working download links, either. Does anyone happen to have a copy of DM-Tangonis, perhaps along with some of Strogg's other maps?

I remember around 2008 when I had a huge collection of UT99 maps that was way bigger than my current one, it had all sorts of maps that I don't think you can even find these days.

I'm putting all of the maps I've gathered since the last time I lost UT99 into one giant mappack, question is if I should exclude any mods like jailbreak or chaosUT. The map portion is 1,34 GB uncompressed so far.
The map also includes both of Xenoyia's facepunch rat map if he doesn't mind.

I can try, though I usually find these maps either when I'm lucky enough to come across a very obscure site that has a collection of maps with previews or I just choose a couple random maps from an imageless index of maps and hope that it's good enough. Sometimes, I try to find maps that were specifically made by well-known and decent mappers like David Munnich or Ruben Hunt.

I guess I could try making a seperate set of folders titled "Maps", "Music", "Textures" and "Systems", link the config file to those files, and download a bunch of maps from an index and try each of those maps out and see which one is worth sharing.

Also, do any of you use Mapraider, much. Pretty good website for downloading UT99 maps. There's a couple old maps like DM-Lemuria and DM-UrbanArena][ on there that were reuploaded on that site.

Also, before I go ahead and take screenshots and pack together the maps I was talking about in my previous post, I have a quick question: Would you rather have a selection of okay to decent maps picked out from all of the maps or just all of these maps just in case there's a map you want to play due to nostalgia or something like that? I should mention that all the files are pretty unorganized and are all in Maps/Textures/Sounds/Music folders, so it might take a while to get everything together. I just downloaded a software that reads .unrs and tells the user what custom files the map uses, but it's quite a lot of maps to check.

Holy hell, that was a lot of maps I needed to upload, and there's still a shit ton of maps that I've got to post, a lot more than what I have here.

If you guys happen to find out about missing files or whatever in the map links, please let me know. Also, is there a way to make these download pages public and be able to get Google to find them?
