anyone else really dislike the "gun lag" that was in UT3 and in that video? I'd rather my weapon stayed in one position than swayed a small bit every time I looked around, shit's annoying.
It gonna get tuned to be less wonky, besides, likely might be optional. Some people prefer it, it gives the movement sense of fluidity, but I understand that some people don't like it. Runs damn well, too. Just seemingly no sounds are precached and there's a hiccup whenever you fire a gun you haven't fired before etc.

While cool, I think you should be able to turn it off.

the small weapons issue is known, it's on the "to do list" for fixes and not the highest of priorities since it works fine with it off and UT99 didn't have that option. You can actually play it online with our SP beta sorta - some weapons are fucked to hell but it partially works. Alternatively, we'll have a test server up and running soon with the MP version if you don't want to wait for the MP update.
Well, the first report I can give is that the weapons work fine for the most part, although I've had to test a few mutators that spawn one with 2k4 and this mod's weapons due to pawn conflicts. Hilariously, the Pulse beam even curves if you use auto aim in SP. But the hud doesn't seem to be reading armor count at all. Otherwise, it's pretty good progress for so little time, relatively.

Have tried a lot of classic mutators and mods for ut2004 (nostalgic_4b, ut classic, unreal tournament 2, unreal tournament revolution), this is the best. minor quibbles: primary fire of the flak cannon is pretty muted (hard to see). Secondary of the shock rifle is really small, I'm hitting combos too early because it looks farther away than it is. Sniper rifle model is a bit too different (I miss the skinniness heh). mechanics wise, only problem I see is switching from primary to secondary on the chaingun. In UT when you switch from primary to secondary (pressing secondary before letting go of primary, ie no split second in between with neither pressed), it takes a second for secondary to get going, but primary fire continued until then. In 2341 it stops firing completely until secondary starts. Anyway great work, looking forward to seeing more of this!
also noticed a bug, only the enforcer and impact hammer are available when using the mod with Last man standing. every other weapon is the UT04 version

Because of the UT99 physics, the players had to be scaled to 1.15 to retain compatibility with the 2004 maps Minigun altfire is actually a conscious design choice, it has a spinup that takes the place of the initial primary fire, we may change it but not sure atm. LMS was unknown, thank you. We are working on pickups and item spawn effects/player spawn/teleport right now. New UT Livestream today showed off the winners and runners up of a concept art challenge that happened in polycount, they also did a Q&A that answers questions related to Alexander Brandon making music and mod marketplace related things for adding things to UT similar to how things are added to DOTA 2 from it's workshop.
