This game (UT4) is so much fun, it's great seeing how changed the game is since I last played a few months ago. I hope we can get some games going.

I'm not sure how to feel about UT4's tertiary fire for the Bio Gun. The rapid fire is kinda cool but I haven't actually gotten a kill with it, I normally just use it while I'm retreating to give the enemy a reason not to follow me. I feel like it does pitiful damage though, I've hit people multiple times after I fucked them up pretty good and never got a frag with it.
I kinda like the Link gun's tertiary fire though. Makes me feel like Scorpion. Oh what's that, you have jump boots and you're trying to get away? GET OVER HERE!
I think it's fine, you don't want to make the bio rifle too powerful in multiple situations and it's a good deterrent. If you combine that + regular bio traps while flag running it seems pretty useful if you have the ammo
Is there any strategy to beating hard mode bots? Or do I really just have to keep trying to avoid the link gun alt fire.

Tertiary fire? Is that a new thing? I only knew about the Rocket Launcher's grenades alt fire from the original game but I didn't know other attack modes existed.

Yeah if you press left click then hold right click with the bio rifle, it shoots really fast blobs that just slide along the floor instead of being launcher through the air. Pretty sure it's in the tutorial.
Don't know about the link gun one though.
hold link beam on the enemy then press primary fire, the beam will pull the enemy to your direction.
dunno if it works on allies

If you left click while having the alt-fire beam on someone you will pull them in towards you

I thought I was improving at Unreal Tournament to the point I'd be considered 'okay' at the game, played a Duel match online and got absolutely destroyed, I'm dead inside now and my soul has been crushed. I got killed 20+ times without even killing the other player once. There is nothing but emptiness inside me.

Meh, I'd rather play with friends and such, I never enjoyed playing on random online servers, I'd rather play with the Bots instead, at least they are good sports when they die :v:

if any blobs hit someone, every blob stuck to the nearby terrain will home in on them
so after you fire off a big charged blob and it misses, you can spam tertiary and if you hit them the big blob might get them

Some people know what made the original tracks great and improve on that when making a remix, and other people just try too hard and end up creating a tangled mess thinking that notes on steroids is what defines Unreal's music.

Additionally, any goo you shoot using that tertiary fire mode will start sliding towards the enemy player if any of them hit them. It makes the bio rifle a little more useful.
