Those are pretty nifty, I like the look of Urban Assault Red.
The Urban Assault skin actually reminds me a lot of the Blood Reavers skin from UT99 since it shares the grey-brown and dark green colors.

That's how they looked on my machine even with all the available graphical settings set to epic. The model looks fine in the UT4 editor, though.

I just noticed that I don't have a setting for model quality on my graphics menu, so that's probably the problem.
Any word from Epic on how long will pre-alpha season last? To see if I still have chance to unlock the skaarj skin.

Some guys on the UT4 forum are thinking that it's too early and that the game needs to be polished some more. I definitely wouldn't blame them, but what do you guys think?
I think its pretty cool that they are doing it, BUT I do certainly agree that UT4 needs more polish before it becomes a big comp game in ESL.

Im not sure if this is a partnership between epic and ESL or just ESL deciding to do this themselves though. I want some clarification regarding that.
As a side game it's a great idea but it's way too early in development to be a main game.
Raste did a slight update on that Hydraulics map that he's working on. Basically, his first pass on designing the outside part of the map.

I'm more excited about seeing what the phase 2 and 3 robots look like, but the industrial ones are a little interesting. I kinda envision them as being more cannon fodder-y characters as opposed to the others that will end up being in the game.

Also, on the stream some Art work (concepts AND 3d models) was shown off for DM-Chill. No screenshots i can share yet, though. I'm sure we'll get a nice update with the finished map in the near future however.

The only problem i had with those concept art is the resolution being too low for a 1080p monitor.
