Does anybody know if difficulty changes enemy count in Unreal 1? I know it affects enemy health, which is probably why some people complain about enemies taking too many shots, but I'm not sure if it just does that or anything else.
There are more enemies in the hardest difficulties IIRC
Someone on the UT99 forum did an experiment with DM-Stalwart and made the entire map rotate like that one Inception scene.

Gonna try this update out, hopefully what they've done makes the gunplay feel better.
It's one of my biggest gripes about the game, the gunplay has always felt off to me.

Honestly those anims get me wanting to play more than the gameplay tweak updates have, it's helping it start to look like an actual new UT game.
I'm not 100% on the sniper still but it's amazing how much more I like it now that it has good anims to go along with it
Nothing like opening UT99 with StuffSwapper mutator and add all the guns that I can on a single match.
10 different guns can spawn per vanila weapon on a level. In maps with all weapons available like Deck16 that means 90 possible diferent guns, plus the ones you can also have at start replacing the enforcer.
Pretty neat.

Holy shit. I know Crowze. The Infiltration mod was the first multiplayer game I ever got into and I was in a clan with him. Those were good times.
I spent the better part of a week downloading Infiltration 2.9 over a 56K modem (with a 1 hour hangup requiring a redial) back in the day
It was worth every second
HallOfGiants remains my fave map to test most everything on, and the Cyberus (a largely un-killable monster) is something I'm still toying with:

So this little experiment is for sheer fun. Cyberus is in a spot where he's largely out of the way unless players goto him first. It's a Deathmatch map so fighting him isn't necessary... but you might wanna choose to avoid him.
Originally changed his projectiles to NW2 ultima-protos blasts, then paired that down to projectiles from the UKBadBoy, and finally settled for energy attacks from the Udoom weaponpack: plasma blasts & BFG:

Thing about the BFG is that it hurts the monster firing it as much as everyone else, so the fact Cyberus can't die works out well here. It's a line-of-sight blast, so if you see that slow moving green energy ball you should duck for cover.

Part of me wants to play it again, but I don't like some of the changes they've made recently such as removing the impact hammer from deathmatch. I also think that the development of the new game is moving rather slow...
I love the new animations but that new sniper is literally eating 20% of my screen, way too obstructive imo.
Not that it matter since 90% of my kills are combos :v:

Big fan of the UTDMT (Unreal Tournament DeathMatch Titan) and I frequently use them in map edits I do. Also, I periodically do searches to see who else has done edits with them.
Which is how I found this:

That's Waffnuffly's edit of CTF-Fifa. It's got a lot of titans and legless krall and some weird smilies bouncing around the map. It's a bit much, plus you can't tell what titans are on which team... so I thought to make it a bit more playable:

Each team has 1 titan, but there's also 2 referee titans on the gold team... for some reason extra playerbots in any team game pop onto the gold team, if there actually is a gold team those playerbots attack other gold team members. I've no idea why. Anywho, in any team game UTDMT not assigned a team or summoned playerbots always wind up on the gold team, never green... anybody wants to step in and explain that, feel free.
On my edit the Titans are clearly identified as to which team they're on:

Despite the obvious use of NW3's Ultra Gore, I wouldn't recommend it. More often than not it will crash the map... given the Titan's boulders make excessive gore, it's kinda like bowling and players are the pins.
