I can't get the extras disk to install on my Win7 64 bit machine. It just keeps telling me that UT isn't installed and won't let me specify the location manually.

I saw this thread and emmediately began reinstalling my UT99. I own this game two times. I have the hard copy from either 1999 or 2000, I can't remember when I first got it. Then I bought the steam version because it was dirt cheap (on sale) and it'd make things easier for organization (steam is awesome).
Almost forgot how easy this game is vs bots.
Me = 30kills
bot1 = 6kills
bot2 = 6kills
bot3 = 5kills
bot4 = 5kills

My only problem in UT99 it feels like V-sync is enabled all the time, making it near impossible for me too play.

I don't see how that would affect you.
he's talking about mouse delay most likely, which has nothing to do with vsync although you might get mouse delay with vsync on if your computer is a potato

How do you know what games are going on sale? Or is it a universal thing were all games go on for 15-50% off?
Vsync gives me mouse lag with my new mouse, but it doesn't affect my older optical mouse. WEIRD
If I recall you can edit one of the cfgs to remove some of the mouse lag.

Oh my god, saw this thread, instantly pulled out my well-preserved Unreal Anthology disc (containing Unreal 1, Unreal Tournament 99, Unreal II and unreal tournament 2004), placed the disc in and was instantly greeted with this music:

So happy I bought this years ago, It also comes with the unreal, Unreal: Return to na pali, Unreal Tournament, and Unreal tournament 2004's music, the disc is named "A history of Unreal music"

A lot of people found UT3 to be a terrible game. Personally I enjoy it, but what can you do. I have it for the PC and PS3. The mods are fun and custom maps have always been a selling point of UT games. Some of the things people make are just amazing. Maybe Hoverboards was crossing the line, who knows. But as I said I like it.

The netcode really kills the game, i actually hope with the next unreal engine they revise the netcode Massively.

Deck 16, Hi Speed and Facing Worlds have to be some of the most iconic UT99 maps. I can't think of the game without remembering them, although Phobos comes soon after.

Yes, it was HiSpeed.
How active is '99? Currently I only have 2004 installed, but I've always liked the other one more. :)
