More reasonably, a lot of the enjoyment from the game comes from how you match up against other players. Which isn't available to you if you pirate the game.

Same here, sadly. I just don't know if I'll get enough out of the gameplay loop with how little content is on offer, even for that value of a pricetag. Like I've said before, if it had more structure in level design I'd dive right in.

It's only worth $5 if you think you'd have fun doing semi-random rounds of survival over and over to beat highscores. OpenAL HRTF audio is what sold me just because I like sound technology, and I love the 90s fps look. I have 16 hours playtime so far, which is pretty good cause I didn't think I'd even get 5 hours

How many gems should I have at that time? So far my next hurdle is killing the skull spiders that spawn during the second centipede. I can't kill them fast enough and not only do they eat my gems, I end up getting a lot of skulls on my screen so I try to balance the two but ultimately end up dying because I can't get the spawners.

If you collect all the gems you usually get 70 around 160 seconds. I'm surprised you lived that long with just the first upgrade

i just discovered that holding down mouse button shoots daggers like a machine gun instead of the shotgun approach. of course, accuracy degrades faster than you can say jack rabbit, but hell yeah it's worth it.
