D.Va's self destruct is still avoidable via awareness, I think Self Destruct is a shitty ult but I also dont know about this change either. and for Sombra is preventable via chip damage, I'd be really surprised if sombra walks right up to a shielding Reinhardt and doesn't get focus fired down by his team behind him. Any damage at all and she cant hack him. He'll live. I'd say Sombra vs Zarya barrier is the most significant change here, especially if she's shielding for a dive.

I don't entirely hate the D.va ult change. Anything to make her ultimate not an expensive zoning tool would be nice. But I feel like it might be a bit unintuitive. Other explosives (Pharah, Junkrat, etc) get stopped by the shield, so it doesn't really make sense for his shield to not also block it. At best I'd say make it so any damage not covered by the shield gets taken. (So if the shield is only at 700 health the ultimate will still do 300 damage to stuff behind it). Sombra's change makes more sense though I feel like giving her too much power along with how much damage things do now could knock Reinhardt down a lot more than intended.

Well its already gone the recent patch undid the Self Destruct bypass on it. RIP to that I suppose. However Sombra now seems to be able to hack bypass: -Winston's Shield -Zarya bubbles -Reinhardt's Shield -Mei in Cryofreeze She still can't hack Reaper in Wraith form, though honestly there wouldnt be much gain to that.

That Sombra change is huge and probably not a good thing She can essentially shut down the enemy Reinhardt without breaking a sweat

The changes to sombra are needed (as she fucking sucks right now), but I feel that by bringing her up, they might have brought some heroes down too much. Rein and mei? Why? Also the d.va ult thing is stupid as hell. A long-shot arced ult is already hard to stop, and it shouldn't be impossible to.

Personally I think this is a good change, all purpose near impenetrable tank shields are sorta the reason Reinhardt and Zarya see pickrates of 80%+ in comp games.

I played against someone who was actually decent at her and they were landing plenty of useful silences and EMPs.

Out of curiosity, does the Sombra hacking actually ignore shields outright (i.e. you can hack people hiding behind Reinhardt if they are still in range) or only the explicit source of the shield (i.e. the tank with a shield or an ally inside a Zarya bubble)?
