The Christmas theme is amazing.
both of these are bad
I dislike the nuke going through reins shield but approve of hacking through shields. It'd either be that or a little bit of a range increase to help sombra out imo
So this new symmetra rework is an unofficial 'buff' to Sombra, making her ultimate just that much more valuable against a symmetra team. [editline]22nd November 2016[/editline]
https://gfycat.com/BrokenClosedLaughingthrush So apparently -D.Va's Self Destruct now ignores Reinhardt's barrier -Sombra's hack can bypass Zarya Bubbles and Reinahrdt's barrier
jesus, D.va just got a buff, and now they are making her ultimate literally unstoppable unless maybe you have a winston or Zarya
jesus, D.va just got a buff, and now they are making her ultimate literally unstoppable unless maybe you have a winston or Zarya
Got removed with the recent patch Hacking is still in.
yessss i just hit masters today. intense last 3 games, but was so worth it in the end.
I don't think that song is for Junkertown, it seems too thriller-y for it.

Pretty sure soon all characters are going to become flanderized by memes.

this is actually the worst thing  Ah what the fuck, genji's dragon blade takes 2 slices to break zarya's bubble now. Can he have nothing anymore?

-D.Va's Self Destruct now ignores Reinhardt's barrier (THIS GOT REMVOED GO READ THE NEXT PAGE) -Sombra's hack can bypass Zarya Bubbles and Reinahrdt's barrier
both of these are bad
I think Sombra's hack bypassing Zarya's bubble is fine. Zarya's bubble counters too much as it is, it'd be nice to finally have something that goes through it.
I'm fine with being able to hack people no matter what. It's really easy to be interrupted anyways. EMP should still be blocked by Invulnerability effects and Zarya's bubbles, however.
Ah what the fuck, genji's dragon blade takes 2 slices to break zarya's bubble now. Can he have nothing anymore?
?? Zarya's bubble is 200 hp. Dragonblade deals 120 damage per hit.
?? Zarya's bubble is 200 hp. Dragonblade deals 120 damage per hit.
Update prevented Zarya's bubble from taking double damage from certain things, like Firestrike and Symmetra's alt-fire. I'd assume that means Dragonblade as well, then.
Honestly, and I know I'll be hanged here for saying this, I'm fucking sick of hearing people complaining about Genji, especially since a difficult but awesome hero as him is constantly in the talks for nerfs and "adjustments" of various kinds while heroes like Hanzo or Mei (but even Bastion) can run rampart on the scene, as badly developed as they are, without any developer rising a single fuss

Genji is broken and blizzard are ignoring some of the main problems he has, his ult & shuriken hit registration is garbage, wall-climbing is incredibly inconsistent and unreliable (Hanzo also suffers from this), deflect not actually deflecting damage at times when first used, with bullets actually going through it. His dash not actually working half the time and you dying to shit that shouldn't even be hitting you on your screen. One of the main reasons I got into genji was how much potential all of these abilities gave him, and now that they're all being removed without him getting anything to make up for it is making him incredibly unfun to play. It wouldnt surprise me if he was the first hero to be retired from overwatch at this point with the way Blizzard is handling him.
I think Sombra's hack bypassing Zarya's bubble is fine. Zarya's bubble counters too much as it is, it'd be nice to finally have something that goes through it.
IMO it seems easy enough to just bait a zarya into using her bubble and then attacking.
Bought Overwatch after enjoying the free weekend. I was happy to finally find something I was good at, but now every match I've had has gone to shit. As it turns out, virtually no one plays quickplay in Australia and the only ones that do are level 50s and 80s. It feels like TF2 all over again because I'm locked out of competitive and I'm getting swamped by professional players and losing what feels like every match to a bunch of smug assholes that take every chance to flaunt that they're better than me or my team. It's too late for a refund since I already ranked up past 10 during the weekend. Is this a problem for anyone else?
I agree with you for the most part, but what's wrong with Hanzo and Mei?
I have two different issues when it comes to them: the former, at the state of things, is far too powerful with very little reason behind it, while the latter is a serious case of a character that was badly designed in the first place. Hanzo is already a hero who benefits from very forgiving hitboxes due to him using a bow and arrows and having the need to "balance him out" with the rest of the damage dealers, who use bullets (compare the Huntsman unlockable for the Sniper in Team Fortress 2). Since the release of the game, the hitboxes of his arrows have been made wider and wider without any reason behind this change. And I dare you to find a single Overwatch player who, after being killed by Hanzo, never asked himself "How the fuck did he score an headshot on me?!". Hanzo was also buffed against the other sniper heroes by allowing him to move faster while aiming, giving him, again, an advantage against his main counters without any explanation from the developers than "We think this hero is hard to play, so we are buffing him". Also, not helping Hanzo's cases are: - His ultimate, Twin Dragons, which is hands down the most powerful damage-dealing ultimate in the game, can be cast safely from afar and travels a great distance and can melt even Reinhardt if he just dares standing in it for three seconds square - Scatter Arrow, which, in the minds of the developers, was to be an ability to discourage attackers from a push/assist your team with an attack move against multiple targets. Every Hanzo player in existence, however, knows to well that Scatter Arrow can downright one-hit kill fragile heroes like Tracer and all the others too if used as a follow-up to a good shot (which, given his generous hitboxes, ...) Mei, instead, is constantly described by the developers and the in-game tips as a disabler hero, but she's anything but. A disabler character, in any videogame in existence, is a character who does average-to-low damage but can assist his party immensly by weakening the opposition, making easier for the damage dealers to do their job and score kills. Look at Sombra: while she has an average damage output and can finish off targets on low health, Sombra's main job is to hinder the enemy team at the best of her abilities, negating abilities and preventing kits healing and all. Can anyone here claim that this is exactly what Mei is about? Because I am most sorry, but the way Mei's abilities are commonly used, in the competitive scene and "casual" environment alike, makes her a dangerous dps hero with too much fucking utility. A quick round-up: - Mei's alt fire is fast, precise and, since the developers though it was a good idea to give nearly everyone extra hedashot damage, most of the time deadly. It also works wonders both in close quarters and at a distance. A disabler hero shouldn't have acess to such power, plain and simple - It's not clear why a hero such as Mei should have a self-healing ability such as Cryo-Freeze. It also doesn't help that CF is the best auto-healing abilities in the game, since it makes Mei invulnerable for the whole duration. Oh, and Mei can hinder a capture in that state too, for good measure - Ice Wall would fit Mei as a disabler hero if it wasn't for the excessive range Mei can create it from and the fact that, even if the thing is labelled as "destructable", we all know that really it's not the case - Blizzard is a nice ulti per se, being able to incapacitate several heroes in a large area, but it becomes overpowered and unfit for a disabler hero when you add a continous damage effect to it, for no reason at all. It's also worth mentioning that the developers have recently stated that Mei's ulti is "too hard for players to use well", so they saw fit to extend its range. We are talking about a ulti covering a large area and that can be launched at a fair distance, with no danger for Mei at all. Also, Mei recives large chunks of ultimate recharge for nearly everything she does, even if they are things she souldn't recive an incentive for (like scoring headshots or healing herself via Cryo-Freeze) In short, the developers fucked up big time with Mei and who was supposed to be a disabler hero on the same note as Sombra is basically a damage-dealing nightmare whose ability encourage an "all in" playstyle where you can just shoot people for high damage with impunity and make yourself invincible or block enemies if you fuck up to refill your health and start over. Hanzo could be fixed with some well-deserved nerfs. Mei, though? She needs an urgent reworking as soon as possible
I'm not surprised everybody hates Sombra, just tell me how can people like a person that is a hacker, a carefree solo hacker that doesn't much care about the objectives (since Reaper sounds way more irritated with her than the rest) but her own, a thief too. She doesn't take anybody's sides, she likes threatening people with information and meddling with other people's life. I love that.
PTR got datamined, theres a few christmas stuff hidden around it https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/5eeamk/some_heroes_interactions_sfx_xmas_overwatch_%E3%83%84/?sort=top&compact=true Also, this music, https://clyp.it/gsgev3oo, Junkertown map? It feels way too mad max to be anything else in my opinion.
Tracer seriously needs to take a chill pill.
When you get put in a comp game with a silent 5 stack and lack the psychic ability to know when they want to be nano boosted. fukken ace

I love how friendly most people are in 1v1. I start each round with "glhf" and more often than not they respond with the same and then we chat throughout the rounds. Got matched up against the same guy 3 times in a row in 1v1s tonight, each match being very close. Ended up added each other as friends afterwards. It's a welcome and refreshing change of pace from how toxic quick-play and competitive can be.
I think it's weird how we don't have an Australia map yet. That shit would be dope.
I think it's weird how we don't have an Australia map yet. That shit would be dope.
It'll come. For now I'm excited for more details on Oasis.
NO WHY DID THEY HAD TO NERF REINHARDT? HE WAS IN A GOOD BALANCED STATE! [editline]23rd November 2016[/editline]
I think they're fine. Especially the Sombra hacking. Zarya and Reinhardt are both in the Mandantory tier, I want this tank meta to finally end. More things that can cripple their all purpose shields is a good way to end it.
REAPER ROADHOG AND JUNKRAT MELT HIS SHIELD AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS FOCUS THE SHIELD FIRST How many people don't UNDERSTAND that?? My shield never break once in a round sometimes!
It'll come. For now I'm excited for more details on Oasis.
I cant wait for the landing zone for Oasis's jump pads to become symmetra's microwave trap of doom
