I didn't play during the very early stages of the game but seeing shit like the reinhardt shield bastion used to have, I can't blame people for saying Bastion used to be unbalanced

you couldn't hook or stun him, if he was in a corner what did you guys actually do?
You did the exact same thing as with Reinhardt, focused the shield or flanked him.
He was locked in 180 degrees, had 50 less armor, couldnt self heal or switch forms as fast as he can now. And the shield didnt regenerate until you went recon.
You took down the shield, got behind him or forced him to switch and he was a goner. Was arguably a worse hero than he is now.
1v1 has abhorrently bad matchmaking
Do you guys have any tips for playing Sombra? Whenever I play her I just feel like I'd be better off as either Tracer or Soldier 76.
Go for picks.
Toss down a translocator before heading off to get the kill. Don't forget to stealth before heading out.
If you get in trouble, recall back to your translocator. Find a new spot and head out again.
Hack majorly used/most convenient health packs and focus your hacks on prime targets or targets that rely almost entirely on their activated skills.
Pop your EMP when you feel a major push coming on; Stealth/throw your translocator in there to surprise the enemy.
Don't waste it on two or three targets, especially if you're alone when facing them. You'll not only die, but you'll also have wasted a very powerful ultimate.
That's how I play her and I've been doing pretty good.
Pro Bastion quick play strat: Set up behind the enemy team with ult ready then kill them with tank mode when they all turn around and rush you
Full health, Nano boosted Roadhog jumps of a cliff and hooks a Pharah on the way down.
Pharah just flies away.
Thank you roadhog that sure was helpful.
I really don't think no limits should be considered for hero balance.
I still find 6 stacks of Symmetra to be pretty counterable, just have a Sombra use EMP and they're back to their normal health.
Pharah also works really well since they can't hit you at all if you just stay in the air.
I got a 50+ killstreak in a match on defense. The enemy team got so sick of getting killed they all switched to 76, McCree and widowmaker v:v:v
I love the craziness of 6 of the same hero, but it's also interesting to see how you can counter them.

Changing the stacking mechanic only affects no limits anyways.
Why not both? I'd play Super Smash Heroes
Another problem is the fact that most of Blizzard's audience consists of people who play games that rely on pointing and clicking, which is what many of their games are. Along with a higher emphasis on meta-gaming as well.
Although with Overwatch we can tell that their audience can warm up to the FPS genre, so maybe a Smash Bros type game could work. There's a real chance that it could turn into PlayStation All Stars levels of bad though. Blizzard would need someone extremely competent to lead a project like that.

I dunno why there are so many small video errors in this but meh. Clips are old as hell at this point.
WHY

DOES BIOTIC GRENADE
DO DAMAGE?

removing shield stacking doesnt affect 1hl modes at all though

"Why does Mei's ult do damage"
"Why does Hammer Down do damage"
"Why does x do damage"
Anyone else trying to get that Oni skin? I need friends :saddowns:

Because the only way people can get elimination credit is by doing damage? :v:
That's why Sonic Amplifier's knockback deals damage after all.

why does music heal
[editline]26th November 2016[/editline]
trick question, it's all in the heart of the streets.
the power of the graffiti souls

It's not a realism thing. Hell I would understand why it would do damage since glass hurts and stuff but I'm talking about what Jarokwa said. It shouldn't do damage when it already heals, gives bonus to other heals, and denies heals to enemies.
what does that have to do with graffiti souls and covering things with righteous graffiti and being a rowdy streetpunk with attitude

ana's probably a rokakku policeman
Speaking of Mercy changes, I was thinking of this the other day - What if they gave the biotic grenade to Mercy? Or at the very least, split the functions of the biotic grenade (buff healing / deny healing) and gave the buff grenade to Mercy?
Since Mercy is the only support that can only do one thing at a time (heal) then that should be what she's great at, yes? Yet Ana is still better at healing then her, and has a bunch of other self sustaining abilities. The only value Mercy gets really is her rez. Giving Mercy the ability to buff healing would mean she would be the best single target healer.
The only problem I could see would be deathballs coming back into the meta. Since Mercy has to be pretty close to heal effectively, teams would probably want to bunch up more. Sombra might negate it but it'd be difficult to say.
sleep dart is worse than the grenade, imo.
sleep dart is worse than the grenade, imo.
Functionally sleep dart would be a good thing to give to Mercy since it would mean she would have some way of getting away from flankers that doesn't rely on her team being within Guardian Angel range, but Sleep Dart is kind of a part of Ana's character so I can't see Blizz going for it.
sometimes i really am absolutely astounded blizz thought the speed on nano boost was the issue, and not ana having it every 30 fucking seconds
sometimes i really am absolutely astounded blizz thought the speed on nano boost was the issue, and not ana having it every 30 fucking seconds
Even if she only got it once every other team fight it wouldn't fix the underlying issue that was if you nano something (especially a Rein), biotic grenade it, and pocket it for the duration of the nano, it was invincible and you were pretty much guaranteed to win the team fight. Removing the speed didn't knock Ana out, it just removed the Rein nano meta and made Lucio even more needed. If they had removed the defense buff it gives (or given the biotic grenade to Mercy) the nano meta would've probably ended anyway since the target could just be gunned down.
On a semi-related note, is a nanoboosted Genji still literally invincible while deflecting?
sometimes i really am absolutely astounded blizz thought the speed on nano boost was the issue, and not ana having it every 30 fucking seconds
yes thats why blizzard has directly nerfed the ult gain once and ran a nerf to all heroes ult charge
I don't know what's with arcade but I think I actually have a 5% win rate
[editline]26th November 2016[/editline]
Played for 3 hours straight and got 1 win lol
While there were better ways of dealing with Nano I think the speed nerf was acceptable. It make it so Rein isn't the end all be all for nano targets and instead is based on the situation.
There still should be at least one ability that shuts it down besides Ana's sleep dart though.

It's just 76 and Genji instead of Rein and Reaper. Nothing changed.
The problem with ana is not the Nanoboost, it's her healing for fuck's sake. At least with the oldboost you could run 2-2-2, now we're back to 3-2-1 or worse because what's the fucking point of running more than one dps when none of the dps can kill anything anyway? When you have three 500hp juggernauts healed by ana, what can a few dps do? Now that ults are even slower you can't even rely on them to kill tanks, they're basically unkillable because ana can just look in their general direction and puff full health.
And that's without considering the fact that a lot of tanks have self healing options - Roadhog can heal whenever, Zarya has regenerating shields plus Bonus 200HP, D.va can disengage and pick up megas.
[editline]26th November 2016[/editline]
Blizzard must decide whatever they want the grenade to do, it's either a tool for ana to do 2x heals or to deny heals, it can't do both, and sure as hell it can't also have 100hp burst healing
I've lost almost every game I've played over the past two days. I feel like it started shortly after I started looking up strategies and learning ways to counter and I'm just not having fun now, even the victories I do get feel hollow. I don't have any friends that play Overwatch, team queuing would be useless anyway since I don't have a mic. Is there any way I can improve or try to have more fun with OW? I've tried taking a break from the game but there's nothing else that keeps my attention at the moment.
