Doom, Titanfall 2, Deus Ex, WD2, Hitman, Civ VI, Dark Souls 3, XCOM 2, Forza Horizon 3, Shadow Warrior 2, Firewatch.
Did those games like not exist for you or what? OW had a lot of competition and frankly it shouldn't have won as much as it did but game awards are dumb and pointless because they just follow whats popular, not what's actually good.
So I just wanted to try overwatch on my brothers account to see if i'd be interested in it.
two and a half weeks later I've earned my brother a total of 65 lootboxes from levels, not counting the 6 or 9 (I can't remember) lootboxes from arcade. My brother's level is now 101. :unimpressed:
I have 57 earned, unopened lootboxes just sitting there. I [I][B]want[/B][/I] so badly to open them now, but my brother says that he wants to be there when they're opened. :glare:
so yea i guess overwatch is good. maybe i'll pick up a copy for myself, but I think I would wreck the lower leveled players in QP matchmaking until the matchmaking realizes I've played the game before :v:

Not saying it was bad, just that it was iterative and had a lot of objective technical faults outside of our individual subjective criticisms.
Jeff Kaplan was talking about season 3 SR and how they were using MMR as some kind of target for it. Did he seriously mean the ranked system will try to get you to the same level as your hidden quickplay MMR?

After the Nanoboost speed removal I've always tried to focus on characters like Winston. He still has the mobility to do absolutely disgusting work.

Frankly I'd say Overwatch's technical problems have hampered my experience more than XCOM's. Nothing like having a hook pull an enemy behind you, or getting pulled from five feet away into rein's suction charge, or the bizarro logic governing whether or not I can hit somebody with or be hit by earth shatter, or being unable to shoot enemies as ana because my full-health teammates are blocking me with their massive invisible hitboxes, or getting frozen in the invisible blizzard cylinder, etc.

As a Reinhardt today, I charged an enemy Rein who was separated from his group knowing he was going to ult. Somehow, I hit him at such a time that only his voice line played and yet I still fell to the ground despite the pin animation starting, them being pushed back a decent distance and the hammer sound effect and visual effects not playing.

Shadowplay just started doing that like a month ago.

I'd check to see if it hasn't messed up its settings when you did an update because its not capturing audio correctly, its like its trying to mimic 7.1 but off only two audio channels, could also just be a dodgy driver, see if there's any updates.

I actually just downgraded from the shitty 3.0 Geforce expierence back to 2.11 and it sounds fine.

Isn't it beautiful when you get someone who throws the second match because someone said one mean word to them.
And then you keep getting put on their team. Match after match.
Every time I play with my friends, I am afraid I'll be halfway through or close to the end on the experience bar and will be willing to play some matches solo the next day just to get that extra loot box.
This game has become nigh-uplayable solo, regardless of the mode, and I admit I was a fucking fool to think that the price wall would had made any difference in this regard
I threw half of my placement matches then carried the other 5 and got placed at 2600 SR and played up to 2921

Or when people throw the match after winning the first point of Eichenwalde because the team's only healer can't heal them across the map for every single second of the game.
I'd play support more if the people I supported weren't babies.

I love it when other players get what you were trying to do.
Had a McCree chasing me (I was Dad 76) and I kept saying Hello to him. Eventually he stopped shooting me and we just walked past each other saying Hello and then went back to our teams' fronts.
I like to try and engage players by doing passive things. It's fun to see how they react and if they join in with being passive with you. Even if it's for a short moment.

It's kinda sad that over half those games have MASSIVE performance and game breaking bugs or released with a whole lot of missing or lacking content

Nothing...? If you throw half your matches obviously the system is gonna think you're worse than what you actually are.
5 losses 3 wins so far in placement.
I'm not looking forward to season 3. 80% of my games last part of Season 2 were so unbalanced af and placements no better so far...
