In the end, the hero ends up playing more like the Heavy than the Pyro, and is intended to be either Defense or Tank The other primary feature I've been trying to balance was the hero's defensive ability, a smokescreen that can be walked through and shot into uninhibited but completely blocks line of sight abilities and targeting [editline]12th November 2016[/editline] Also I have no idea how reloading a flamethrower would work, so I think it'd be neat if it had an overheating feature instead[/QUOTE] WM1 definitely isn't the biggest problem with pyro, if you die to wm1 it's because you were flanked or you're awful at the game. The problem with pyro is that his flamethrower is so inconsistent that you're better off fucking around with air blast and his secondaries than using the fire very much at all.
Pyro either kills me in 1 second or takes a long fucking time to kill me. I feel like Pyro damage is inconsistent, sometimes i'm close to him and i don't die but sometime im close to him and i get instashot. Ping and latency maybe?

Mei's particles are way faster, less spread out and consistent in comparison.

Had a Reinhardt pit me because I used my jump jet in attempt to avoid his Earthshatter, but because Earthshatter makes no fucking sense I still got stunned while flying and casually dropped into a pit.

I'm still surprised that there isn't some kind of aoe zone denier skill like a molotov or something. Mei's ult is closest thing, but that's an ult and more for the CC than the damage.

And in the time it takes you to get off two shots she will not have frozen you anyway. If she caught you in the perfect range to freeze you while you can't kill her and you can't get away with Wraith Form, she outplayed you

If you aren't in range you just do as much damage as possible then wraith
