This makes no sense? Usually I agree when something that was exclusive gets released to more people. I like exclusivity. But you do understand that the witch and junkrat skins are the rarest of their skins? They are literally their most exclusive skins and you are getting upset that they got new voice lines? DUMB
No it's just that every time I ever see a junkrat or mercy in quick play it's the only skin I ever see
It gets kinda boring seeing the same skins over and over again
Friendly advise - stay the hell away from competitive till next week.
It gets bugged, it has millions of retards picking Sombra and doing nothing, and the matchmaking literally shit itself so be ready for a really brutal loss streaks.
Look at the bright side: it could also be a brutal win!
That is, if you're not me
Elimination is such a sweet mode: quick, handles over a moderate amount of experience and you can unlock additional boxes
My only concern this far is that some heroes are more handy than others in this mode (Roadhog and Soldier:76 come to mind)

We're in the same boat, pal.
Just lost another 100 sr in two games with gold damage on zarya and ana (yes, it was that bad).
So a Quick question about balancing in Overwatch, Would you rather it be Balanced in a way where in every gamemode any hero is viable or specific hero's have a place in some gamemodes, but not others (kinda like how it is now)
You'd have to seriously tweak certain characters and maps to make all heroes viable on all game modes. Certain characters don't work well on offense because they need time to set up and specialize in area denial which doesn't help making pushes and that's what the offense team needs to win. Other characters are limited by their mobility or sightlines - Tracer works well in KotH because of less verticality and a variety of flanking routes, and most non-KotH maps have very few routes that don't require jumping high or scaling walls; Widowmaker is decent on maps that are wide open but struggles in close quarters and indoors because she's a sniper. With long respawns, including rollout time along with losing ult on character switch, its risky to change heroes mid match unless you already wasted ult and died. That usually means the other team has the advantage so if you're defending it might just be time to get snowballed or if on offense and time is short nearly pointless to change character other than to stall.
doesnt sombra have any banter with any of the heroes? i didnt hear anything in ptr nor have i heard now
I wanna know how the Oni Skin will work on PS4
Has anyone just heard anything second hand about it?
It seems that the credits I spent on the PTR are actually gone on the live server. I had 3000 that I spent on Sombra stuff and on Live I have only 1000 credits and the stuff I bought are locked. :pudge:
[editline]November 15[/editline]
Same thing happened to a friend I spoke to. Spent credits on PTR and they're gone on live.
So is competitive affected by this? I really hope not

It gets activated via your Battlenet account, so if you use the same Battlenet account you play with on the PS4 to unlock it on PC, you should have it. That's how it worked with the Blizzcon Bastion skin.

holy shit Zarya's M1 is SOOO much better now
It does damage every individual frame it hits someone, so it's REALLY easy to hit Genjis flying around all over the place and similar small characters. And tracking is much easier.
The downside is that it doesn't ignore shields anymore, but that was bullshit anyways
Man, I really wish Mei's primary didn't have an aim slowdown, it's the difference between life and death in most cases, I'm unable to kill a Mei that's freezing me because I'm unable to aim quick enough to shoot her.

It did.
Also the PTR part of this video is what we just got:

I haven't played overwatch for weeks now, are there any new maps yet?
Got bored of the current maps.
1v1 managed to pull off a comeback from 3-1 to 5-4, i even got a perfect Junkrat with airshot, it was beautiful.
Also a close 3v3 with me Lucio vs a Pharah 1v1, it was intense

We just got a new map for the new 1v1 and 3v3 gamemodes, there will also be a new KOTH map next month, with enviromental hazards like cars driving around apparently.

Eichenwalde and Ecopoint: Antartica and that's about it
Oh yeah, let's play No hero limit, enemy team is a full organized comp team. Amazing, it's like new Quickplay doesn't exist.
There is no need for 3v3 to have a 15 seconds long selection screen AND setup time.
Just lemme play wtf

What do you mean ignored shields? AFAIK it never did such a thing.
I get super anxious in 1v1 and can't aim because of it.
I had a really good match against a really good Soldier 76 who had a peculiar talent for being able to track and shoot an invisible Sombra. It was really fun.
I got accused of having wallhacks.
Because I obviously I need hacks to hear LOUD FOOTSTEPS on metal
Anyone else absolutely hate 1v1?
It's a total coin-toss. Lone-wolf characters like Genji and Tracer work fine, but matches involving more team-focused characters like Zenyatta or Zarya either end the second someone's visible or go all the way to time-out. Sombra matches are an endless slog of playing grab-ass until wallhacks activate, D.va and Rein matches are just "hold M1 and walk towards the other guy until someone runs out of health", and 76 and Genji matches come down to whoever can land the lucky shot while bunnyhopping in circles.
Really the only interesting matchups are Symmetra, Junkrat, and Torbjorn. Widow ain't bad either, honestly.
3v3 is amazing, but I feel like 1v1 needs a serious rework; it feels entirely too luck-based and drawn-out for something that should be the exact opposite. Arena mode shouldn't boil down to "wait in a corner and listen for footsteps" half the time you're playing it.
[editline]15th November 2016[/editline]
Also, having played Sombra... what's her job?
She seems to be all about infiltrating and breaking defenses. Like, sneaking behind enemy lines and disabling healers and turrets. But she can't hack if she's taking any damage, meaning she literally can't do anything to Torb turrets unless someone else is distracting them (which makes her about as useful at getting rid of turrets as literally anyone else).
So she can break defenses, as long as no one shoots her.
What exactly is the point, other than kamakaze-ing yourself once your EMP is available? I know it's day one, but does anyone have any hot tips on how to play her and make a difference? Because right now she honestly feels like not-as-good Tracer.

There's a lot more depth in attackers, that's for sure but I've always had depth to my Reinhardt duels, charges are a gamble and to be avoided, chip damage from firestrikes is important as is luring and predicting your opponent's movements. If you go M1 on a Reinhardt duel it's no wonder you don't like it, you'll lose.
The most annoying for me is Winston and Zarya duels. Winton isn't meant to 1v1 against another Winston like, at all. And Zarya isn't meant to be in 1v1 to begin with, half her kit will be missing.
But seriously, if you think Zenyatta has no place in 1v1 you're delirious.
[editline]15th November 2016[/editline]
Can't tell you how satisfying it is to bait someone to charge as Reinhardt, walk aside and whack 'em once while they charge past you.

On second thought, I take it back, Rein duels are pretty damn good (even if they just boil down to holding M1 to land that final hit).
Zen always ends up being a scavenger hunt followed by the usual bunnyhopping though. He has no footsteps, so the first half of the match is just trying to find each other.
Some heroes should be taken off 1v1. Most of the time its who does their ability first, not so much skill.
so far every 3v3 match has had a widow main on my team that dies at the start of the round, and someone who picks roadhog every round on the other team
Did they increase game's perfomance? I can now play the game fine with slightly better graphics on my potato laptop.

They should let Lucio be in the 1v1, just disable his healing so you can only speed boost.
