I officially hate Darkrunner. It's so fucking hilariously squishy, even with plate. Can't even take down two mobs without a struggle.

Even putting one mob down to 1/3 hp and having another aggro is an issue. I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

can any class do this?
I could do it when I had defense over shadowplay, but maybe I didn't realize the scaling was so significant at higher levels.

this is what i got so far. mostly it's about playing smart. aoe cc everyone and focus them down one by one. I also use plate and 2 1-h swords.

Is there any European FP guild going? If not, is there any NA FP guild going and would I horribly suffer with 160ms+ latency?

We're on melisara east as well
at lv25 I can take 2-3 on a [url=http://arche-base.com/builds/generator#3.4.5/]skullknight[/url] with badly mismatched armor. Wearing a huge bulky plate chest, have a giant shield, then there's the cloth miniskirt and highheels. If there wasn't an advantage to wearing complete sets of armor I'd totally stick to that kind of doofy mismatching, or do something like the one main monk character in FFXIV who has plate leg armor and a cloth shirt. don't have a good screencap of just the char but this sums it up well enough

as for 'build' stuff, occultism is doing a lot of heavy lifting. auramancy has some nice AOEs in general for when you're getting swamped, but the big winner is Occ's hellspears (added combo: summon crows will also poison spear'd targets).
I'm finding with this game your chances of survival on [i]any[/i] class are really summed up by how well you can keep kiting mobs around, which is why I initially avoided sorc, and dropped witchcraft soon after speccing into it (for trickster) on my first character. There's two skills I have on occ that lock your movement down-
- crippling mire, which does a lot of damage, is great for an opener since you can maximize the distance the mob has to run before it can hit you. Occ also gets 'Mana force' which will push targets a good distance away, leaving you room to comfortably use CM again.
- absorb lifeforce, which does less damage than CM and takes a longer time, heals you in the process so it should ideally shift the balance. I've found if I'm using it 1v1 against mobs, the mob damages me just about as much as I heal, so it's a nice time waster when you're waiting for other cooldowns
otherwise I'm running circles, blowing my cooldowns in combo-friendly order then wasting time pewpewing with mana crystals

Melisara west is where it's at.
Im starting to discover that witchcraft isnt insanely useful for a melee class. Sure there are loads of ccs, but they all dissapear when the enemy takes damage. Great if youre questing alone, squishy, and need to wait for your cooldowns, but not so useful for battlerage.
What server do I join instead of kyrios if I want to play with FP?

Got a friend who's likely going to join me, and he is no fan of the eastern races. So, when does the race restrictions usually go away? Could I circumvent it with premium?
I thought I saw somewhere about cross server characters. Was I mistaken?

also the server is one of the newer servers.

I wish server transfers existed cause id do this in an instant
I've just put too much time into the char I have now to make a new one (especially since leveling is so gross in this game)
