you can only do 200 characters at amateur level, and it has to be midi
get together a whole band of players and have them play at the same time, is it possible to have them play on top of a farm cart? can get a neat little parade going
Gaming the auction house is so fun so much money for no labor hehehe
I see you've met some of The Black Paw members. I am one of them hah, though I am not in the picture.
I've seen them in court, they appear to mostly just act like pricks and talk like arrogant assholes when caught. Not that this game discourages people from being assholes, though. In fact, in some cases it helps balance the economy of the game to some degree and makes certain activities more interesting. Just to give an example of that, I decided to do the one thing I've been dreading ever since I created my character after the game got officially launched: crossing the ocean to deliver some cookies. [t]http://i.minus.com/ipxdsQcHgffFR.jpg[/t] Knowing what dangers that are out there, I started early, when most people aren't active. As hoped I had for, the sea appeared to be peaceful and I was able to navigate between most of the seabugs rather easily with the rowboat I still use for reasons that are yet to be explained. [t]http://i.minus.com/ib0cNQLDQ7hADj.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/ibcMZ1oDglEjJy.jpg[/t] I was even able to pass by a clipper that obviously would be hostile to me, but still appeared to ignore me. Out on an early trade run was my personal guess. [t]http://i.minus.com/iwT6b6Vcgj1J4.jpg[/t] The next ship was not as friendly, though. As I was close, but not close enough to land, I noticed a clipper to my right suddenly homed in on me, giving away the signal for my certain doom. [t]http://i.minus.com/i9Oimd5Py1GPB.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/ihd2SY9x1e8xF.jpg[/t] Needless to say, I died. You can't really trust anyone at sea, not even your own faction. I've seen quite a lot of people being part of the "DaVinci" guild, so I guess they (like a lot of other large guilds) get most of their profit by nicking off with other people's trade packs. After the inevitable defeat, I was struck by what I would identify as a more forgiving karma when I went to the western continent. Turns out the area I was doing quests in was at the time in a state of peace for over 3 hours and I could happily run around unharmed, doing quests and making the countless natives I encountered wish war had started already so they could murder me wherever I stood. [t]http://i.minus.com/ibyNHgmHOOdmd8.jpg[/t] However, as the timer ticked down, I finished the last couple of quests and immediately headed to Marianople to visit the town full of angry guards and get a dog. [t]http://i.minus.com/ibsyRujJCgH6RG.jpg[/t] The first attempt at getting a puppy got me instantly murdered because I was just a little bit too close to a guard who was not a big fan of that idea. [t]http://i.minus.com/inPbOkORKNJt0.jpg[/t] As I made my way back across from the graveyard on the other side of the city, I realized that I could rather easily glide on top of one of the towers and follow the walls to get around without too much fear of the guards. I was still quite sure that going inside of the walls was certain death, though. [t]http://i.minus.com/iz3urZPdZpFx7.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/ifXbzSgURrH5O.jpg[/t] Either way, I spent several attempts to get to the place where I could buy a dog, one involving the rather embarrassing moment of getting killed by a person 10 levels lower than me. However, once I got the landing right, I was able to simply walk up and buy a dog of every kind before leaving as quickly as possible. [t]http://i.minus.com/iVresDbCoeBnR.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/iJ7cyEDGjSarw.jpg[/t] After that, I was able to raise all the dogs at the same time in a safe place before picking the one I liked the most and stuffing the other two in the basement. I dont play for all of a week and the prices of moonlight archeum has exploded what the hell. The only thing standing between me and making my first sealed piece of armor is 4 moonlight crystals and oh my god are they expensive. Might have to just spend the next million years farming coin purses from sandeep. [editline]9th October 2014[/editline] Also me and my mates are finding it easier to stealth into the harani area's and craft packs there to bring back to two crowns. Max stealth is the best thing ever, haven't even been caught once in the 6 times ive done it.
Got "attacked" by pirates for the first time this morning doing a trade run. They kept latching onto my clipper but they eventually backed off, however that may have been because the only person who could try and board my clipper fell short while attempting to glide onto my boat. It was very entertaining. The most amusing part was the guild name to me, Somali Coast Guard.
so I just solo'd a tradepack to crescentthrone port in solzreed. For sake of the story, it takes place very slowly along this whole stretch [t]http://i.imgur.com/zaW2t3K.png[/t] boated across the sea in my clipper, and got close(ish) to the coast. I de-summoned my boat and started up my little macro that re-ups my stealth automatically the instant it goes down. I then learned your speed whilst swimming, stealthed and over-encumbered by a tradepack, is "1". So, I auto-ran a bit, and when I saw a clipper coming around, I dipped below the surface so they didn't notice my little wake animation or that glitchy water distortion underneath me. as I got closer, I used the shoreline to mask my visual cues and more comfortably skittered along the surface, using some of the juts of land to walk, getting me a precious extra 0.7 speed. about 15 minutes of creeping to get toward the docks, and it turns out some easterner had driven his boat over and got ganked right on the side of them, so there were a handful of reds buzzing around, one summoned a ship and began shooting the friendly boat, slowly destroying it and attracting more attention from other reds. There were a number standing on the closest branches of the dock, far from any guards, so I didn't want to try my luck getting close to them. I made sure to time it right so I'd deploy stealth as I went under each segment of the dock, to avoid the little *poof* effect wasn't visible from the surface. Dipping under the first pier, I see a handful of reds underwater toward the end of the middle pier, gathered around the boat. I saw the boat finally destroyed, and the reds decided they wanted to swim toward the docks, aka directly at me. My stealth is about to re-pop and I'm running out of breath, so I push back toward the wall of the pier and hope they don't see me. the players all popped their gliders to get up on the wall, so I think I was good. I push across the little gap to the wall of the second one, make sure to get fresh air because the next dock is long I dip under the water and make it about 1/4 of the way across the underside of the wide middle pier, and suddenly there's a confetti explosion effect, I'm unstealthed, and there's a big red notification on my screen saying "Stealth rank upgraded!" jesus fuck looking around, there's still some reds at the end of the pier, underwater, skittering around for some reason. I still have 35 seconds left til I can pop stealth and I'm praying nobody notices as I try to stick to the 'ceiling' of the pier above me, thinking maybe my name will be hidden by the geometry. I make it to the other side, and it's a race between my breath and stealth, and I'm forced to pop up before it was ready to pop again. I jam into the corner of the pier and wait for the cooldown, pop it, then continue. I had no hitch crossing the third pier, except for the fact there were still a good handful of reds standing around on top of it. Ganksquad's strong tonight. I notice the ground off to the left of the pier is sloped, and slowly make my way up it, dropping down onto the main pier and into the sanctity of the guards. Spent a minute talking to each guard to see what they offer, and since this was my first time, found the gold trader doesn't want to trade with me, which is sad as I'd prefer gold to gilda at this point. Still stealthed, I wandered back over to the gilda guy and dropped my pack. I walked by a guy in stealth and clearly got his attention, because the instant I put the pack in, he tried to stun me and instantly got mowed over by the guards. Realizing the opportunity, I decided to stick around a few minutes to see if any other hapless attackers would try their luck. I found better luck though. some guys in a guild walked down to the pier, one of whom had a tradepack. I stealthed just so I could get closer without arousing suspicion as I watched why they were just kind of circling around the one guy with a pack, but it seemed he was about to turn it in. he walked up to the gold trader and put the pack down they all stood there kind of staring at it for a minute, and I knew this was my chance. I walked over and slammed the pick-up key, doing the animation at the same time as him, and BAM, I unstealth holding his pack he didn't seem to realize right away, as he turned to the gold trader for a second, then backed away from him. I turned it in right in their faces and they just stood there. so I /saluted, with that glorious catburglar-esque 'thanks' look [t]http://i.imgur.com/Cll5AK8.png[/t] and they started speaking [jibberish], before gliding over to the little hill I'd entered the pier on, attempting to attack from outside the guard range. They fire an arrow, all of the guards fire an arrow. 3 deaths in a split second oh man I could do this shit all day
If you didn't want gildas you could have got the resources resource generally: 8+ gold on AH gilda: 1 gilda lol!!!!!!
Shortly before Dai did his run to Solz I did a run to Freedich, about a kilometer out I despawned my boat and swam under water pretty much the entire way. Once I hit shore I started stealthing towards the gilda trader. There were a few patrols from a westerner guild called Death trip but I was stealthed and they didn't notice me. I made it to the gilda trader pretty easily. Once I was less than 30 meters away from the gilda turn in I teleported and started dashing for him and got it in while one of the death trip guys wasn't looking in my direction. I only died once I started running back for the ocean, which is when the guy who was stealthed next to the gilda trader must have alt tabbed back into the game or something and gone oh shit as he realized I managed to trade my pack in and was leaving the island.
gilda from trade runs seriously needs to be buffed isn't a run to freedich still only 1 gilda?
Everything I read says its 4 But maybe not???
you could be right but even then 4 sounds like garbony for something as dangerous as freedich
Wouldn't increasing it just increase the traffic there thus make it even more dangerous?
you get 4 per trade run to freedich but seriously, it's a big fat fucking coin toss. this is why we're doing carebear runs to cinderstone instead
idk at the rate it currently sells for, oran-thul are on the island 24/7 with at least 40 dudes in the place i hate my server so much
This always happens On calleil, there's always 20-30 cats at freedich The only way I see anything happening is if you organize a full-scale assault in faction chat
Honestly Freedich isn't worth the risk, it needs to be seriously upped. I can earn half as much running into the other continents port and usually its pretty safe, or go to an island that is capped 24/7 for double. The double is not worth it unless you have a group large enough group to fight off those camping and have enough trade packs to make it worth going there in the first place. I can make multiple cross continent runs in the time it would take me to hit Freedich.
so how much would a farmhouse plot generally sell for
boated across the sea in my clipper, and got close(ish) to the coast. I de-summoned my boat and started up my little macro that re-ups my stealth automatically the instant it goes down.
What are you using for macros? Autohotkey doesn't seem to work with archeage
Man, underwater stealth pack runs is so funny. Dunno about your server prices for "Dahuta's Bubble", but I stacked some 20s of them in my inventory. I've evaded most of my enemies by diving as low as I could, with stealth. Nobody's taking my pack now!
What are you using for macros? Autohotkey doesn't seem to work with archeage
Any mouse macro editor works, also AutoIT, if you know how to use it.
... also on the note of underwater stealth trading, I need a diving helm and some flippy floppies
Forgot to mention, I already have those: stealth+floppiez = faster underwater speed, especially with pack. But most of the times, I only use the floppies, since I pot some Dahuta's.
What are you using for macros? Autohotkey doesn't seem to work with archeage
Yeah It's blocked by hackshield hahaha see guys hack shield helps
What are you using for macros? Autohotkey doesn't seem to work with archeage
logitech keyboard's software. I press the appropriate key, it toggles, and will hit the button again 1/10th of a second after the cooldown finishes (playing it safe, thinks it's too early half the time if I do it 1/20th or lower) [t]http://i.imgur.com/zIeAk4M.png[/t] also on the note of underwater stealth trading, I need a diving helm and some flippy floppies
Does anybody know what timezone the NA servers follow? Been waiting for some patch of land to get demolished so I can claim it.
Oh yeah by the way if you're doing underwater trading, flippers increase the swimming speed of donkeys if you have a trading pack on, meaning you actually swim faster while riding one They're basically a poor man's submarine if you use a diving pack
Any mouse macro editor works, also AutoIT, if you know how to use it.
Yeah thanks for the great advice buddy, it works as well as AHK.
Where can I plant my orange sapling? It would rape my 8x8's rectal cavity so I'll have to find a different spot
Speaking of donkey diving, I saw this on reddit a while ago [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/euVmY9x.jpg[/thumb]
I used the following swim speed buffs - 20% from Desert Fox title - 30% from Dreaming Donkey - 40% from Swimfins - 12% from Swimfin enchant - 5% from elven racial Hypothetically if I had songcraft leveled up I could go even faster- it would add another 36%.
Are there any guilds that trade peacefuly with the opposite continent? Both sides fill boat with packs, meet in middle of ocean, trade boats and go back to home to trade.
Are there any guilds that trade peacefuly with the opposite continent? Both sides fill boat with packs, meet in middle of ocean, trade boats and go back to home to trade.
how to swap in the middle of the ocean the [acks would fall to the sea floor
how to swap in the middle of the ocean the [acks would fall to the sea floor
You can just use one of the many tiny islands around And I'm not sure if you can place trade packs in an enemy ship but if that's the case all you need is one person without trade pack for each side But that sounds like a recipe for disaster, the only way that'd work is having a guild with alts on the other continent
It's quite horrible to log in and see all your shit was uprooted.
It's quite horrible to log in and see all your shit was uprooted.
<insert bullshit excuse about illegal farm> I love it when the jury tries to rewrite the game laws like "it's not illegal to pk because you're not obligated to be friends with people from the same alliance, defendant is innocent" it wouldn't be a crime then would it?
Are there any guilds that trade peacefully with the opposite continent? Both sides fill boat with packs, meet in middle of ocean, trade boats and go back to home to trade.
Going on the same boat, especially on a large boat with special spots for trade packs, with another person or people from a different guild is a huge risk. What may happen is that the person/people you are going with suddenly decides to murder you and take your trade pack for themselves, giving them a much higher profit than you would ever accept to give them.
sigh the things i would do just to have a nice 24x24 plot.
