ssh
I just found an illegal farm with 100+ pine saplings. Time to log out until they switch stage to young.
why the term "illegal farm"? they aren't illegal. I feel like that's just a term used by people getting in to trials for stealing too much and don't want to pay the repercussions.
Its just the term everyone uses.
Speaking of it, anyone know the time it takes for pine saplings to go young saplings?
I use it ironically
So just a warning for those who are unaware people are abusing a glitch that forces you to dance. This will knock you off the wheel of your ship and they can spam it until owners mark ends so they can take it. This happened to me today when I pulled into Crescent Throne whilst sailing my Eznan full of trade packs. If you play on Kyprosa some members of Vindictive are using alts to do the glitch and then they will take the wheel. Others on the forums reported this but nobody has any video proof so yeah just be aware it can happen if you did not know already.

according to everyone in trial and faction chat, planting without owning an extremely limited farmland/home locations is "illegal" and deserves to have your stuff lost, but being a PKing asshole who uproots everything is by and large "playing the game right"
I'd bet things are the polar opposite in the korean servers, treating pirates and PKers like the outcasts they're meant to be ingame

"I don't want to dance, but I can't stop!"
Doesn't having a farm in a non-designated area let you evade taxes? If so, that's illegal.

The "dancing plague" all over again

b-but wy wud dey let u do dat ??! it cant be ilegal if its alowed by game mechanics!!
Only reason I want Jury duty is to not guilty uprooters
This game has created an economy where stealing a few trees is worse than taking a life.
Doesn't having a farm in a non-designated area let you evade taxes? If so, that's illegal.
The game clearly labels uprooting and stealing unprotected crops as a crime, but apparently you know better
This is what happens when you put the players in charge of the crime system, they'll make up their own bullshit laws just so they have a chance to avoid punishment, which is even more pathetic given the amount of shit you need to steal to get even just a mildly inconveniencing prison sentence

I don't get why they can't just accept that they took something, which the system allowed them to do, but they're going to pay by going to jail according to the same system. So many demand the first part but reject the second part of the same system. It's like believing in one side of a coin but not the other

Vindictive is just as bad as team butchers, back when I didn't have a clipper they're the dickheads that would harpoon my rowboat while doing trade runs in safe zones
Though I don't have much hope this is going to get fixed soon and chances are everyone and their mother is going to start doing this, guess I better start using my donkey again
I found this sight quite funny, the crest says it all:

"heads I win, tails you lose"
of all the things, avoiding taxes doesn't raise infamy
the whole point of the existence of taxes is to ensure people holding land are actually utilizing it to generate revenue, so greedy deadbeats, scammy 'real estate agents', and absentee players aren't wasting space for very long

F2ps have heavy limitations for what they can plant on public farms, unless you get in an awesome friendly guild who'd give you a farming spot, planting in the wild is the only way. How I see it, uprooting and theft are classified as crimes so people don't screw over f2ps too much because no matter if you like it or not, the game needs as much players as possible. If everyone was given a protected spot to farm then you could argue it's not a crime because people had a choice whether to plant in the wild, but that is not the case. Endorsing fucking over players who may not be able to afford a patron is just plain elitism and dickery in my book.
I've had times in trial chat where someone voted not guilty because the victim was not a patron and so didn't really deserve to play the game
Yeah, there's people like that

Oooooor
instanced farm plots.
while i disagree with that patron isn't that hard to get.
I had 51 points of Assault and Murder today and was declared innocent.
B)
I just found more trees on that farm. I went exploring around a bit after logging off because I saw the guy (He didn't see me). I found 2 groups of 100+ trees. Meaning there are 300+ pine trees here.
My first privateering run with the guild as a lvl 50 and it was "the worst we've had so far"
eznan cutter with 20 people fucked us
got 1 tradepack
eznan cutter with 2 visible people + some invisible fucked 5 lvl 50s
Better lucke next time eh??!
Any FPers on Aranzeb West that have ~4g I can borrow? I have half an hour left on my vocation tonic and obviously if I stay online to grind some gold my tonic will run out and it'll be a bit of a setback. Need one last craftgrind to get Vitalism to 45.
Why would you mine starshards
they're worth jack shit
Haven't hit level 50 yet and don't have a farmcart either.
Seeing as 100 Starshard ingots give about 25g in the AH, and lots of experience from mining them, it's a pretty good deal.
It's pretty laborconsuming tho
No. Star shards are only good if you want to farm XP and you want to remain a poor miner.
