Anyone have any tips for a new player? such as "always save your labor points!" or "collect x resource" or whatever, labor points are used in a lot of things and instead of doing one thing to figure out i could've done something else is annoying with limited resources :v

Plan your labour usage, dont go mining every iron node you see, save it up till youre sure you know what you want to do with it, there's no one resource that's better, it all depends on what your end goal is.
You'd think trion would have started doing their maintenance at a better time than in the MIDDLE of the day for their customers...
Seriously they do 3 to 5 hour maintenance at 8 AM/11 AM

Most people will be at work, college or school then so that way maintenance is not going on when the majority of people get on.

If you're getting cloth armor there's almost never any reason to get iron, etc.
Just save the labour and get what you need, as you need it, that way you get a nice reserve built up.

Let them. The size map I'm talking about would be so hard to fill up they wouldn't even try. I'm talking bigger than the Wurm Online epic map (which is 67 square kilometers) in multiple zones

fair enough, i suppose that's why it's recommended you stick to a few skills. i'm sure it'll be explained in some quests down the line how to do different things for different vocations, but where would i start for clothing?

When you get a specific piece of tier 6 armor (e.g lake illustrious) does that determine WHAT set you're going to have for the next tier?
aka are you gonna get lake from then-on foward. or is it random till you hit the last tier

Every piece of gear starting at illustrious is sealed and you can get a different set piece when upgrading.

The amount of hacks available for this game is certainly off putting. I really hope Trion steps up their communication with the community.

the problem is that we're using a year old build that already had all of its exploits found ages ago, without any of the fixes. People can reiterate old hacks and potentially know how to get around the patches as they come up.
This is all hindered massively by the weird middleman they have to go through to approve any kind of updates

Once these guys get things up to speed the game should be a lot better. Until then we'll just have to wait and deal with it.

If they wait too long the damage to the games reputation and economy will be done, Trion needs to find some way to speed up patches to address hacking.
I wonder how quickly Auroria will be taken over.

Considering people have already been there it begs the question is it possible it could have been taken already. If that is true very well could of been reset by the devs.
But that aside it will be taken almost immediately the big guilds will have been preparing for this moment and on top of that many people will be using hacks to grab as much as they can without getting noticed.
