So how is this game? Is it worth playing? Can you build your own houses and shit yet?
It's okay if you like the traditional mmo layout. But it feels like all of the reasons that I was brought into the game are either paid-only or extremely late-game. It's not for me, I guess.
Holy shit this game makes my computer heat up so much.
So i got to play with Ross from Game Grumps just a little bit ago! It was awesome
What server was he on? He says "the first one" but the problem is that the first one is always the one you last were on.
Success me and Jonoporter have made a ship and are doing our first trade across continents. [t]http://i.imgur.com/MTi96Jy.png[/t]

I'm really liking the ideas of this game, like open world player housing, trade runs, naval stuff etc.. Is there any released MMO right now that does similar things? I can't find any interesting sandbox mmos right now..
Nearly finished my first house, only the wood left to get but I feel asthough that will take a while. Currently level 27 :D
If anyone wants to join me on the NA server (Aranzeb), I can invite you to our guild where we offer assistance if required.

Is there a FP guild/TS?

So let me tell you of the amazing adventure that went really wrong fast but did reward us in the end. So first of all on our journey from the west continent to the east we got attacked by sea life that jumped on the boat and I died losing my trade pack. Next we got to the island and encase you don't know they can attack you but you cannot attack them until they have hurt you as it is their continent and not yours. I was level 25 and Jonoporter was level 19. Some level 19 woman came along and started attacking Jonoporter but because they only engaged him I could not kill her I could only use health spells on Jonoporter until I ran out of mana and she killed him. The second he died I picked up the trade pack and she fucked off as I am 6 levels higher than her. I reconvene with Jonoporter give him the trade pack and whilst diving to get mine back I die by a high level jellyfish and because I own the boat and am too far away the boat de-spawns leaving Jonoporter stranded on an island with the trade pack and he then gets killed by pirates who steal it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/o9lVAjJ.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/K5udfIS.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Frh0HST.jpg[/t] So after this failure we decided to do a safer run going from Solzreed to Sanddeep and that is basically from north to south of the western island. Along the way we sore trade ships, fishing boats and other harpoon vessels. We did see some pirates who originally tried to attack us but went after a merchant ship and they got killed by the merchants. A guy who had been taking peoples boats tried to take ours but as he tried to glide onto us he thankfully missed going over us. [t]http://i.imgur.com/citaAGj.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Iff8bow.jpg[/t] Merchant ship that saved us by being the target of the pirates attention. Also Jonoporter manning the crossbow and me at the wheel. We swapped driver throughout our different journeys. [t]http://i.imgur.com/kA2twPx.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/GiwtMgK.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ov6cFBz.jpg[/t] Once we arrived at Sanddeep it was clear this rout was favored by merchants as there was 4 other ships there. A merchant guild and others. You will notice you can lower the sails to increase turning but lose speed. The driver cannot lower or raise the sails it has to be a passenger who turns a wheel for you so a team effort is needed. [t]http://i.imgur.com/z1iOAEL.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/x23KiXz.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/cwsy9nQ.jpg[/t] With our journey done we decided to us the boats oxygen tanks to go diving. The waters can get really deep. [t]http://i.imgur.com/X1hZjoZ.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/G0ItqFx.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/DP2mBvU.jpg[/t] And so ended our journey we made nearly 20 gold between us in 1 run. Was fun.
snip
Y'all need to post more adventures when you can. You're like the virtual Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.
Just started a game and got to level 8, seems Sorcery is way stronger than Occultism at this point in the levelling.
Just started a game and got to level 8, seems Sorcery is way stronger than Occultism at this point in the levelling.
I mixed Occultism with Songcraft and Witchcraft and it seems stupidly strong now at level 10. I can zap something to almost dead with Stun from Songcraft, Enervate from Witchcraft, and then Elemental Grip from Witchcraft. Then use Crippling Mire to finish them.
Just started a game and got to level 8, seems Sorcery is way stronger than Occultism at this point in the levelling.
I got to about 17 with sorcery occultism and witchcraft. I've been thinking of respecing because i have skills right now that combo with things i'd only get 10 levels down the line or so, but even though i don't have combos i usually kill most things before they can even touch me. Frost arrow + crippling mire slows down so much it might as well be a snare.
Frost arrow + crippling mire
This is what i've been using but I was hoping to have a little more synergy than 2 slowing spells and 1 unrelated spammable spell.
Shame I didn't get a beta invite. oh well it will be f2p on steam.
Didn't realize there's a time limit to the glider... *splat*
Didn't realize there's a time limit to the glider... *splat*
Upgrade it to the ultimate glider at mirage island. Way better.
Fuck the system, made a shadow-assassin dude who's also the party healer.
Upgrade it to the ultimate glider at mirage island. Way better.
That's what I'm using.
I'm not sure what I'm missing by doing this, but I'm level 20 in the beta right now and I've only chosen one skill, which is the second skill in the skill tree for my default class (occultism). After choosing that skill, I just decided to ignore leveling up forever, which means I have not chosen a second or third skilltree yet and I only have two combat spells. Funny thing is that it doesn't make the game that hard, I mean my strategy is literally just spamming projectiles by holding 3 while running away from the enemy, which is a ridiculously viable as the enemy can't touch me most of the time. Some spellcating enemies, especially bosses, also don't have auto-tracking for their spells, so I usually manage to evade those as well. :v:
I think my favorite thing to do in this game is to jump on the backs of peoples mounts as the run by and see where they take me. Man, I'm gunna end up dead one of these days.
I think my favorite thing to do in this game is to jump on the backs of peoples mounts as the run by and see where they take me. Man, I'm gunna end up dead one of these days.
Try jumping onto random merchants boats they don't always take it kindly. [editline]1st August 2014[/editline] Because a boat will de-spawn if the owner is not near and I had to go out to eat dinner I spawned my boat then sat down and went afk so Jonoporter could do some trading runs thankfully nobody noticed I was afk after he was done and had left the boat. You might lose all sense of awareness but driving in first person can be fun. [t]http://i.imgur.com/6uzeBpa.jpg[/t] And although you lose altitude meaning you have to land again for a few seconds some gliders can keep up with the boat. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fgsiZvY.jpg[/t] Finally we did a bit more diving and the deep water gets seriously dark. [t]http://i.imgur.com/zc2oz5L.jpg[/t]
Is there a FP guild/TS?
Well ok I guess if there isn't one, then is there a server that most of you are on? I just picked the highest pop one, Araz-something or other.
Well ok I guess if there isn't one, then is there a server that most of you are on? I just picked the highest pop one, Araz-something or other.
Well, me and alexojm are playing on the Alpha. If there are any other ARCHEUM founder pack FP users would be around, we could make us a guild there, as we already got a ship, and another merchant ship soon too.
Hit level 50 on Arazan server for beta, finally!
