What is the best way to make money with patron anyhow?
I'm honestly making most of my living being a thief, stealing fruit/wood from hidden tree farms. I simply don't make enough from my 16x16 to ever afford 2 apex (200g+) every month, unless I just whore out trade packs the entire time for hours on end (really boring... I like doing trade runs here and there but with just a donkey it frankly sucks making on average 6-8G for 40 minutes of basically doing nothing on a really boring trade route).
Not all of us have the interest or time to drop more than a couple hours a day at most into the game (and even that is pushing it).
The best way to make money as a patron is tradepacks
Aside from that you can try fishing
No such thing as easy and fast money

You don't go to Freedich for money.

stars are still valuable in the end
Easiest money is just scamming people who don't have a clue how the land system works. You can easily get people who'll just trade you hundreds of gold for land and you don't have to risk anything.
Of course you risk having a bad reputation, but that's what alts are for.
I joined two days ago, but from the subreddit it seems that I joined a dying MMO. I was just wondering if that's really the case.
Official forums and reddit are the last place you want to look if you want to know the state of a game
Did anyone else get really disappointed by this Auroria update?
80% of the continent is still unavailable, and the regions that is available is only playable by zerg guilds pretty much. Right now it's just vast, empty land on my server..

Before I got my merchant ship and warship I used my clipper to do trade runs from the enemy continent back to my own for resources. I crafted the resources into things and sold it. I was making so much cash every day but it has its risks. Making the pack on the enemy continent and getting off unseen was not the hard part. The hard part was getting back without getting killed at sea.

I always hear people talk about how troublesome that is, but I rarely see other ships at sea, primarily just the occasional clipper making a straight line from port to port, and they've always been a single dude with his own tradepack. The one time I got harpoon'd by a group of gankers I was well inside peacetime waters and we just kind of stared at each other til I despawned my boat and swam off

The thing is that this is true I wasn't having many problems and I was doing Solis to Two Crowns so the journey back at sea was really short. You don't have too much to worry about but when you do a few runs each day every day you inevitably run into trouble every now and then. I was doing those runs for 2-3 weeks and I only got into trouble maybe 4-5 times.
I just wanted to point out if you do it all the time you can run into problems as you are sailing in war waters.
How much gold do you get from doing that? I assume you just hereafter teleport to solis, find the crafting station there, somehow not die while crafting and sneak your way to shore to sail across back to your own cont? How long would you say one trade run takes?
At least it sounds more interesting than doing Gwen Forest -> Two Crowns for 7-8G and it taking 40 minutes.

Unless you own a house you cannot teleport there you have to sail but no worries it only takes 16 minutes from the moment you leave Two Crowns to the moment you get back to Two Crowns. 6 minutes to sail there then 4 minutes on land and 6 minutes to sail back. This is supposing there isn't too many people hanging around the specialty bench but there is nothing but housing in the area you will make the pack so nobody ever goes there unless they are making packs themselves.
1 run will give you enough resources to make 3 sturdy ingots (one of the 3 things you can make with the resources you will get) and last time I was selling them they went anywhere from 6-10 gold each. so 18-30 gold per run. I normally did 5 runs a day as each one was so quick and made myself quite a decent amount of money.
The only reason I don't continue to do it now is because I own a merchant ship that brings me in more money and requires no danger at all but naturally not too many people own a ship that expensive for it to be an option for them.
The guild I've started, Rabid Trading Co, Just capped a castle. So ecstatic right now. I'm not sure how many of you play on Melisara, but it was literally a channeling race at 3 different locations for it. First we grabbed calmlands with Celestial Lust, then we needed another 300 anya ores, and crafted the pack. Literally the last castle in the game. So happy.

Matte here, I play with Daggs and the lot, but right now I am waiting for them in the pirate faction.
Congrats on grabbing the castle! I only saw when CL grabbed theirs then I logged off because I can't do anything in Auroria. For me it's just a barren wasteland ;)

Wow, Niegar here. Didn't know you're a facepuncher. Cool :)
Man, we spent 7000g on that pack. Our miners kept fucking itself in the ass in the mines, due to Tomatoes and crashes. We bought most mats.

Same! I will most certainly keep track of how it turns out for you guys, even though i'll stick to ravaging and pillaging the arcadian sea. :yarr:
I bet you have many slaves in your guild...

Slaves? I think not. Helping hands? yep :)

That's a really good idea. Sturdy ingots seem pretty expensive to make though, you need a lot of hard to get materials beyond just the stabilizers.

So uh went to solis headlands crafting benc
Got ganked the second I began approaching it :B
Sadly I was wanted so then I had to deal with a trial blehh

Yeah you basically have 2 options and that is to either grow the narcissus and azalea yourself or to cut into your profits and buy it.
It has been a few weeks so it is entirely possible that the area is now popular for guilds. I almost never got attacked and I don't even have stealth to hide from people but there wasn't many people around normally.
I'm trying to see if I should get into aged tradepacks but I can't find any damn numbers on the prices of them anywhere, any ideas?

I turned in Aged Cheese pack in Falcorth that I stole in Windscour, and I made 14g. So I would say it's worth getting into.

That's pretty good gold/labor but I can't use my cart for that, I might try it
Also how's piracy going?

Well when I actually play I love it, but i've pretty much stopped playing because of how Trion handles it's customers and the game in general. I really hope they will start to realise that they need to handle their shit alot better.
I will continue PVPing as a f2per though, but I wont put any more $ into this game.

Azalia and Narcissus seem to sell for a pretty penny so I think I might just take advantage of my farmer workstations and actually grow bundles of them. I'll get worms too! :D
And nah, it was literally a lone person using a crafting bench. Who then proceeded to stop crafting and kill me as soon as I walked over :|

They average 1.5-1.65X the value of a normal trade pack, plus you are almost always gonna get the 130% rate. So expect 14-16 gold depending on where you make it.
Generally its "not worth it" considering the time and cost of making one (you need 3 days to make the pack and you AFAIK have to rebuild the aging structure when you are done), but it is very worth it if you are the kind of player who doesn't have time to do lots of trade runs in one sitting. Start the aging process for one item one day, the next day start another, etc. and after 3 days you'll be able to do 15g average trade runs once a day every day. Technically a normal trade pack is way better since there is no wait time or cost associated with making the aging structure allowing you to do many trade runs right after each other, but that can be time consuming and boring. And if you only do one trade run a day anyways, the aged stuff will give you much more bang for your buck.
The whole Halloween event kinda turned me away from the game, it was nothing but a huge money sink for players to give money to Trion. It really showed a lack of creative design from the developers and that's something I don't want

My main concern is the gold per labor.
I was really looking forward to getting into Archeage with some friends, including my roommate. Unfortunately though, yesterday he was randomly banned while questing (Error 2003) and none of us have any idea why (he would never cheat or scam).
After reading online about the appeals email response time, we're not really holding out any hope. Does anyone here have experience with their support response times?
Man nothing like getting paid to literally do nothing but sit on your own boat. This client pays me 20% of the entire runs worth and he brings his own crew for loading and protection and sails the boat. I just did stuff on my other monitor whilst we did the run.

They are in a guild we aren't allied with but I have rented the ship to both R.I.P and Black Swans in the past as long as their coin is good i'm fine to let them pay me to do nothing for awhile.
