See I was under the impression you had to buy the right to use houses not be patron, if its only when your patron I hope it doesnt just lose your house if you decide to take some time off but still have the tax certs to pay for the house saved up

Just so you guys know you will be able to buy your patron status with gold you earn in the game. It is a fun game so be nice and pay for patron status once and literally within a week of playing you can be earning enough gold from trade runs to buy it with gold from that point onward. If you want to be tight you don't even have to buy it once but it will just be harder to get the gold to buy patron first time around after that it is plain sailing. I don't know if you can buy patron with gold yet but it will be in the game at some point.

Well cool I'll probably play once it's actually out. Or if they have a release date get one of the packs that gives me early access. I don't want to play alpha or beta. Every time I do I get burnt out before the game actually releases because I don't want to do everything over again

I got into some guild, 15 of us got onto a single clipper, now we're staging a crusade into Haranya to properly dispose of the you know whats. Side note, that "settings not saving thing" someone was having - they don't save if you crash. You have to exit the game properly for them to save.

Considering grabbing and patching the russian open beta version. Is there any real difference between what i played this beta weekend and the Russian version?

Too bad this game has that typical eastern MMO feel. Also cryengine 3 is not really good at MMOs. It would be too cool to have a western MMO with features like trade routes, pirates, etc! EDIT: By eastern I mean this "labor point" system, all this waiting and slow grinding typical of those games

I get why they like it this way for the f2p model, but I think it really needs to be boosted a bit for patrons.

The lack of land is kinda annoying, Imagine how it'll be when it comes out proper. Also on a side note we got a guild?

There were 3 guys from an enemy faction standing around one of the early game towns, and there was a group of friendly guys looking at them, so i yelled "GO BACK TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY" and people were like "They cant understand you" so i went up and kicked one of the guys, (They were all 29, i was 12) and anyway the whole town exploded and we fucked up the lot of them, it was glorious.

I really do wonder to myself how the fuck I managed to actually flip this thing it happened so fast. Thankfully you can just de-spawn it. I would keep playing into the night but I like to read Game of Thrones for a few hours before I sleep and I wont be done until 3am if I come back on now. So yeah I will be on tomorrow. (I will be popping on in a minute to get the grapes from my farms trees then logging back out.)

Just to double-check: I downloaded 20some gigs of this, and it's now patching another 22. Is it essentially redownloading the entire thing and replacing itself or am I going to have 40 gigs of Archeage on my drive?
