i just bought the game so I'll join, and I'm sure blanketspace would be in too
Once it goes open we can expect alot more people to join up if we get an FP guild going, just be aware itle probably do what every other game has had happen, we all get together, everything is great and then people just slowely stop doing anything untill the guild fades into nothing. if we dont get ALOT of people just join someone else's guild together.
I've made a Steam Group for us. Group link
Joined the steam group. I'm currently processing 270 stone into 90 stone brick and it is taking an eternity. [editline]7th August 2014[/editline] I'm going to have hereafter stones for days after I finish this though.
Well I suppose one solution would be to open up the guild to people who aren't on FP. That way you have the numbers, and a concentration of FP members in one guild.
Also, fun tip: If you have Drop Back, you can bail from your glider at any height as long as you activate it right before you hit the ground to avoid all fall damage. I feel like this may be patched.
Anyone know of a good place to mine on the Western continent? I'm only level 20 so I don't think I can go to the crater place yet.
Well, I just leveled twice from mining iron nodes, and then leveled again by crafting all of my stone into stone bricks and then into hereafter stones. 1600 XP per craft is absurd, and I made 33 of them. Had to top it off with smelting my ingots, but it got me there. [editline]7th August 2014[/editline]
Anyone know of a good place to mine on the Western continent? Ok I will check those out tomorrow
I know I shouldn't get the 150 pack... I really do... but I want it so bad... Someone help me please.
You can do that on my Junk too. :v:
Dude you gotta at least take me to dinner before I do anything on your junk
I know I shouldn't get the 150 pack... I really do... but I want it so bad... Someone help me please.
Join the rest of us in setting our money and time on fire and come have fun.
We've got to come up with some name for the guild as well. I think Facepunch Privateers is pretty good, if we're going down the route of piracy. Any other ideas?
Im considering getting the 150 pack, Although where are the servers currently located and can a single person settle down themselves or you have to rely mostly on others?
Join the rest of us in setting our money and time on fire and come have fun.
But food and shelter!
We've got to come up with some name for the guild as well. I think Facepunch Privateers is pretty good, if we're going down the route of piracy. Any other ideas?
How about "Face Punching Pirates"?
Fabulous Privateers [FP]
Red Moss Cave in White Arden is my favorite place in the game. Not only is it loaded with iron ore spawns (30+) it also has a special ledge that you can only get to if you glide from the right spot and nitro boost at the right time. From that ledge, if someone kites the massive elite cave troll within 20 meters and in LOS, I can lasso him and bring him up there as a pet. If I mess up and he falls, he takes a ton of fall damage. It's also full of bats, and in lieu of cave trolls, bat fishing is a fun sport.
The guild up yet? [editline]7th August 2014[/editline] im nph ingame [editline]7th August 2014[/editline] help me what went wrong
There are some significant differences from WoW, one of which is that the hostile mobs are so myopic they probably couldn't legally drive, and have an incredibly difficult time aggroing on you if you stay more than 5 meters away. However, individual mobs are a lot more dangerous in Archeage than in WoW, and I find that things get hectic if I pull two equally levelled mobs, and I nearly always die if I pull three. This is in contrast to WoW where you'd find an enemy camp and have to kill everything in it, usually in groups of 2-4, in order to get to the boss/quest objective. Here you can just wander past most enemies and just kill the dude you want to kill or take what you need.
I'd love it, if it had combat like Darkfall Online (if you know it) where you have to aim your arrows/spells & melee. Also I kinda dislike the eastern graphic's it has, though that is just my opinion.
So with Alpha transitioning into the actual games release, are you all planning to stay there after launch? From what I read its basically going to become their PTR. The reason I ask is that most PTRs are wiped because there are usually ground breaking bugs like item dupe etc. Seems like it may be worth it just to wait until the f2p fully launches and then just paying the monthly instead of the $150 up front in that case. I could be completely wrong though.

And you have a 4-day head start too.
So I actually remembered to take pictures of my adventure today. Firstly I found Spongebob square head. [t]http://i.imgur.com/kFtrk38.jpg[/t] I was at Two Crowns and this foreigner scum was trying to build a harpooner in OUR BAY !!!! This person was probably trying to build this ship to rob our coastlines with so I had no choice but to do what a pirate would and jack the bastard. I had no fears this person was 6 levels higher than me as the person was carrying a trade pack and this slows you down. Discovered the building dock and quickly after the person. Assess their level and skill sets to see if wise to attack. [t]http://i.imgur.com/68s4xyt.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/i4Y0acV.jpg[/t] It is wise to attack now act natural whilst the foreign scum crafts another pack. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DicPdiZ.jpg[/t] NOW KILL THE SCUM !!!!! [t]http://i.imgur.com/i5UB2qB.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/IjxVziK.jpg[/t] Sail some place safe knowing I have my second foreigner kill and a trade pack of bounty. Open and pack and enjoy the 90 cotton. [t]http://i.imgur.com/dh7IY7R.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/fYdQuIu.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/uDBLDRC.jpg[/t] But people of facepunch this was not my only adventure today oh no I found some higher leveled people and went dungeoning. We hit up Teamspeak and slaughtered our way through the dungeon. The monster might not seem tough because of their level but this was a pretty difficult dungeon even with a level 50 and 47 with me. [t]http://i.imgur.com/MDdvC9C.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/0VvBaHt.jpg[/t] When we was done they gave me these nice new clothes much better than what I had before. Goes well with my cloak. They also let me have the bow. [t]http://i.imgur.com/oAhqsoC.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/6zvkypg.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/eUJtowv.jpg[/t] This adventure leveled me up and the dungeon allowed me to acquire new armor for my horse that it cannot use yet as the armor is too high of a level. I think it is actually better than the stuff I got off of the market but I cannot compare until I can equip it.
Well, I did it. I bought it through kinguin for 128 bucks. The flaming money pile grows higher. RIP in peace money. You will be missed. edit: oh great kinguin wants my drivers lisence for verification. I don't have a fucking camera.
I really hope they make it so you can't just go into a danger zone and wipe everyone below level 50. Because right now it's just stupid to have 3 level 50s camping a quest giver to kill every level 40 that gets close to it.
I should have just bought through steam, holy balls this is taking forever and I really want to play.
Anyone having issues with the launcher, beta access is allowing me to load up and play and sometimes it locks me out as offline. Then when i do get on the game crashes in the middle of the first cut scene that you cannot skip.. any help?
Yeah I tired that, it stills crashes half way though the cut scene.
Yeah I tired that, it stills crashes half way though the cut scene.
dont use the beta branch silly, on the launcher click the top right and select alpha also get ready for a 22 gig patch if you havent played on the alpha branch yet
