That's not the issue. They broke actually launching the Alpha. Beta launches fine, but they fucked up launching the Alpha when Glyph update, you can change the names around, whatever, but its still broken for Alpha. You can technically make it if you mash on the Play/Update button pretty much constantly until HackShield starts to load, but thats about it, and its not consistent.
Yea I accidently hit the power button on my plug when there was 2 mins left on a really good flute going for really cheap on bids. Got back on and seen that I couldn't get into alpha :(

Jesus christ I didn't realise how long it takes you to get a 100 stack of wood, been waiting ages for these fooking tree's to grow. Sorta wish I brought a boat blueprint rather than a house one now though.
Whoever programmed the menu to shut down the client if it doesn't successfully connect to a server needs to be smacked
If you're starting, ignore house blueprints and go straight for the 50 gilda boats. You can pick up a house on the AH later for 10-15 gold.

As soon as I'm done with this stupid trade pack quest and get my Donkey, I'll try to find a spot to grow some trees and the rest of the shit.

Oh boy, another beta and the settings-not-saving issue still isn't fixed.
The call of the crime gods is too strong, even at 0/50 crime points I still had the debuff and went to jail for 20 minutes :tinfoil:
Hey guys, maybe this is a dumb question. But if I was granted access to the last beta weekend, will I be able to play this weekend? I haven't purchased the founders pack or anything. Just curious.
Thinking about buying the Gold Founders pack for ~$62 on g2a. worth it or should I see if it goes lower on g2a?
Eh I really don't wanna spend $100... alpha access isn't important to me. [editline]15th August 2014[/editline] Bought the Gold founders pack. Really like the feel of the game so far from the beta
This game seems incredibly fun, but I just can't bring myself to pay the equivalent of a new game every few months to play it. I'm the kind of person that buys a game and plays it for years because I don't have tons of money floating around. If they had a system similar to Guild Wars there's no doubt I would be playing on day one. If they take away some of the massive restrictions on F2P I'll try that as well, but not with how it stands atm.
I finally got my Harpoon Clipper and have not stopped having fun with it since. I've pulled myself up on land, down to the bottom of the sea, I've harpoon other boats, I've hit things on land with the portable harpoon launcher, I've sailed around. I actually found a guild loading their big merchant ship with trade packs and headed to the main city I've suddenly forgot the name of. And then while they were unloading their ship at the draw bridge you can't raise, I started to sail back down the river, ran in to a bunch of reds on a ship who tried to fire on me with cannons, went back and told the merchant guys, then kinda blockaded the red ship until the merchants were finished unloading. Then we all went and beat the shit out of them. Was good fun! The problem I've run in to now though is that I don't really know what to do next. I could presumably just keep doing the themepark quests, and may just for the levels basic gear, but don't really have a big goal anymore. The Clipper was the main thing I was focusing on and working towards, and now that I have it, I'm not sure what to do next.

Beyond those features it seems like there are just a sea of repetitive quests to complete, a few more dungeons would be nice. I know this game is more sandbox based but other activities apart from grinding the theme park quests when you've ran out of labour points would be nice.
Labor points really slow down endgame and imo make it not too enjoyable. But that's just me. I see plenty of free people enjoying it.
I think you should be just fine for yourself with the labor point on free account, but if wou want to contribute to your guild or something you would need the subscription.
Is this a joke, I had no idea you could do this. Why can you buy the blueprints for so cheap on the AH?
Here's how it works: Anyone can start a new character and get around 50 gilda doing the story quests in a couple hours, less than 2 if they have a friend helping them. Then, they can use that gilda to buy a Farm Wagon Design, Clipper Designs, or the Cottage Designs. The cottage designs are really easy to get, too, at 15 gilda, so whenever gold sellers hack an account, they spend the gilda on cheap prints and dump them onto the AH. Basically, the value of gilda stars increases in a non-linear fashion the more of them you have, since you can't trade them directly and it's much harder to amass 250 for the tier 2 boats, or 400 for a merchant ship than it is to amass 15 for a cottage. Expect to see merchant ship designs trading at 3.5k-4000 gold, at a rate of roughly 9 gold per gilda star, while cottages can go for between .7 gold per gilda to around 1.5, depending on the market at the time.
I tried this last night. Holy shit the place with pigs was full. There were like 60 people stalking the pigs trying to get the quest items. I looked at the clusterfuck for about 20 seconds, abandoned the quest and moved on. :v:
So trying to run the level 20 dungeon with a mate of mine, we recruit some random bowman third and go pretty well up to the last boss, just cant beat it when I realise ive got a swank bow that I dont use (since im double sword built) so I give it to him, proceeds to triple his damage output and destroys the boss. He was pretty happy with the bow so I let him keep it for helping us beat the boss. This is my one good deed done now I can be a pirate
Still getting an update game button for alpha, anyone know how to fix this? Also, was there a fix for it over night?
Launcher is bugged for Alpha but it still works. Selected Update, let it run for about half an hour, came back and it still said update. After selecting it it took about 2 minutes and the game launched. I have been in and out of the game a few times this way, just be patient.
Any of the founders packs still worth picking up?
Unless you want an ~exclusive~ glider or some shit just wait for release and become a patron.
Unless you want an ~exclusive~ glider or some shit just wait for release and become a patron.
Ah I see, do you know when the game is set to release?
Speculated release is mid to late September, but nothing official.

I went through this entire area yesterday looking for land that was about to expire until I found this one. Then I got there as soon as I could an hour ago and was able to claim it.

Just smelted 200 iron bars. I had time to cook a steak while it was going :v:
Game has become unlaunchable for no reason now :pwn: haven't changed a fucking thing after playing yesterday.
