Mails have gone out, basically telling you to download the Glyph Launcher, then select the right region (NA beta or EU beta) and start downloading the game. It's 21.9 GB in size.

Meh. I'm still looking for a beta key. Was hoping there'd be another giveaway before tomorrow.

It's pretty stupid, I've been following this game for more than a year and have been signed up for just as long but I still didn't get a beta key, just an email saying I should buy the founders pack. And then i missed the key giveaways.

Also, are we gonna take the European or the North American beta if we're gonna do a FP thing?

Though I actually got a key from one of the sites that was giving them away(sorry if it seems like I'm rubbing it in), I too find it messed up. They had keys to give away to promote the game, and yet people on the waiting list for a year just get E-mail after E-mail trying to goad them into buying a founder pack. I'm hoping its actually "good". I like crafting heavy games where player made stuff is either the defacto best stuff or makes up a majority of available stuff. If I do like it, I hope they have some sort of reasonably priced one time pay thing to remove the supposed limitations on free player crafting. Don't know much more than that there is supposed to be a limitation of some kind, and I can't commit to a subscription just yet.

i was downloading at like 1.5 mb/s last night, now it's going from 100 kb/s to 500 kb/s

My HDD started squeaking and then I blue-screened, so I laughed nervously and drank a glass of water and said to myself while river dancing "Tidilly boopbap deboopdillittybadingting zingleball." Luckily my computer still works so maybe I'll try again when I'm sleeping so I don't have to listen to the screeching.

I managed to download it through Glyph, their Steam-alike or whatever you'd call it. Seeing as the actual Beta doesn't start until tomorrow, I take it that the fact that it just shuts down after a few seconds is normal.

I imagine it's because it tries to connect to the servers during the cinematic, and it can't cause there's no server to connect to.

im down to 90 kb/s, it just keeps going lower slowly

im guessing their server is under super stress, the later it gets the higher my speed goes, up to 350 kb/s now, was about 100 kb/s an hour or two ago [editline]17th July 2014[/editline] still though, odd how other people are downloading fine while some like me are struggling

And I'm not going to buy those founder-packs. I swore to never again spend any money on an MMO if I can't first try it for free through trial or something.

After my files on my hard drive got corrupted and I suffered some strange noises from my hard drive and a blue screen, I'm finally almost done downloading the game. It said it needed like 48 gigs so I deleted like everything on my computer and it ended up lying to me and only patching like a couple gigs. Oh well, I didn't need those family pictures anyways. Time to rock and roll guys! Only a couple more hours.
