It should verify the game, but it shouldn't make you redownload everything, and after verifying (2~ minutes) it should open the game.

I wish that was it. I got around that no problem. Came home from work, after using nothing but the steam launcher directly after having issues with rifts launcher. Getting corrupt file etc.

Ok so it is that time again. Yesterday loads of stuff happened so loads of pictures. My day started out with a bit of pirating on my own and I came across another ship that veered away from me so I assumed the owner might have a trade pack. I de-spawned my boat and activated my glider but turbulence threw me into the water and all seemed lost. Thankfully I was able to catch up and kill the guy but he had no trade pack so I took his ship instead. At the end of the event there was a boss but he nearly one hit all of us and the fight was over as quick as it had started. You would need an entire raid of level 50 people to even consider fighting it. I was the only one without stealth so I stayed back until the time was near. Fists of the empire owned most of the land around here and did not like visitors. This was an area in dispute so anyone could kill anyone. I already own a house so I did not need the plot and the others were stealth-ed so they sat back ready to plot down their scarecrows and my job was to run in slashing at everyone in sight as a distraction. There was so many people we did not get the land but it was fun. For a while everything seemed to go well until we came across the second boss and whilst straight forward we found out we needed a good healer to complete the dungeon but our healer was not yet level 50 unlike the rest of us. We decided in the end it was best to wait for our healer to level up before trying again. I sailed the boat around to distract them. I managed to de-spawn my boat when things got bad. We spawned another boat and after sailing for a bit we was still being followed so turned on our pursuer and killed him and destroyed his boat. So it turns out the whole "settings not saving" bug I've been talking about isn't even a bug - it's a supposed feature. You need to have the game running for some arbitrary amount of time (somewhere between 5-15 minutes) before the settings are actually committed. I've seen speculation that this is some kind of prevention against "you changed this setting and now the game's too fucked up to fix it" - but when the game tells you to restart when making certain settings changes, it's really quite counter productive.
