At level 11ish i had 3 account-bound hereafter stones and 3 normal ones.
Help guys, my game froze and now i can't connect to the server again.
Played my share for today. Got to level 9. Is it bad the first thing i noticed was the boob physics? And like every CryEngine game, FUCK this game heats my CPU like hell but it's pretty as fuck.
You know you've been playing too much Archeage when you're driving down the road, see a 10' tall pine tree, and immediately think to yourself "No, that's going to be too young to harvest." [editline]21st August 2014[/editline] I LOVE making hereafter stones for XP (4500 XP/craft with a vocation tonic at level 40), just spent 5000 labor making 300 hereafter stones got like 3-4 levels. But I absolutely hate the price disparity between stone bricks and hereafter stones. Stone Bricks - 20g/100 on AH Hereafter Stones - 9g/100 on AH Spend like 68g making 300 hereafter stones and I'll make maybe 27g.
Decidedly massive waste of labor though, raw stone sells better based on labor spent, and you can make a load more XP if you start from 8k labor with a bunch of vocational tonics [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline]
I'm level 11 at the moment and my biggest issue at the is the labor point system. It seems essentially impossible to do any real crafting as a free player. (50 points for a single Hereafter stone for example, which would take 50 minutes of online time to gain.) IMO, this game will die within a year if they keep all the F2P restrictions that they currently have.
If you can help it, don't log out of the game when you go to sleep/go out to do something. Your Labor gain is halved (or something like that) while logged out. [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline]
Is this like Wurm Online or?
It's Wurm in concepts only, this game is substantially more forgiving.
^ Before anyone asks about the 8k labor. That can be achieved with a Worker's something tonic, which gives 1k labor at a 12 hour cooldown. That cooldown, is per character and restricted to lvl 15(which takes ~1hour if you know what you're doing.)
dammit i was gonna insult their intelligence if they asked me about that
You have to craft hereafter stones? I didn't know how to get them other than I had 5 of 'em from quests. Labor system is fine if you afk a lot.
There's a quest to make the stones. By the time I got there I had something like 10 labor points just from identifying quest rewards and opening the loot bags.
If you can help it, don't log out of the game when you go to sleep/go out to do something. Your Labor gain is halved (or something like that) while logged out.
F2P people don't get any labor points while logged off, if the tooltip is correct. Seems a little too harsh for me. I'm thinking that I would get more frustrated trying to play then then actually having fun since I really do like crafting. I really don't get the whole monthly subscription thing. GW2 has already shown that it's very possible to make an MMO without one and without a pay to win shop and still do pretty great with a very active community.
You can have 6 characters across both servers, so 12k labor a day.
labor is shared across characters.
labor is shared across characters.
Yes, but labor pots can be used per character. so 6 characters, 6k more labor every 12 hours to use.
didn't think of cross server, but that'd only give you 10k labor. [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline] though in theory if you timed it right, that's 16k labor daily because workers comp potions have a 12 hr cd
Decidedly massive waste of labor though, raw stone sells better based on labor spent, and you can make a load more XP if you start from 8k labor with a bunch of vocational tonics
You can't start from 8k labor the max on your account is 5k what game are you playing. Also I guess you're comparing to deep-sea mining. Deep-Sea mining isn't efficient. There's a LOT of time spent looking for and/or competing for stone nodes, if Cinderstone is at war you run the risk of being killed, and you have to either buy water breathing potions or have a boat with oxygen tanks. [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline]
^ Before anyone asks about the 8k labor. That can be achieved with a Worker's something tonic, which gives 1k labor at a 12 hour cooldown. [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline]
dammit i was gonna insult their intelligence if they asked me about that
You can't insult someone for that, because the way you said it wasn't right. You can't "start from" 8k, you would start from 5k, use 1000, use a potion, use 1000, use a potion, etc etc. That's no different than my method I just didn't have or want to buy worker's comp potions
If money is an issue, buy or even mine for raw stone, make stone bricks and sell that, much more profitable than hereafter stones. If you want to gain experience faster, craft hereafter stones, using both worker's pots and vocation tonics. It's really as simple as that. [editline]23rd August 2014[/editline] Even better, just do quests, it takes like 20-30 game hours to reach 50.
Buy 200 rice seeds. Plant em in a spot thats hard to get to and away from questing. Sell on Auction. 18g profit. I just planted 900 crops... took over an hour to plant lol.
Hey guys, will the game be f2p pr with a monthly sub ?
Hey guys, will the game be f2p pr with a monthly sub ?
Both
so what server is everyone in the beta playing on atm?
This game is ridiculously fun and refreshing for an MMO. It's also great cause I don't have the frustration of feeling like I have to play it cause I paid money for a subscription.
What's up with these priests losing their purses? I have like 70 of them and not enough labor points or patience to go through them all.
so what server is everyone in the beta playing on atm?
Im playing on Kyprosa
Welp, got in for this beta session and the game won't launch. Their security software or whatever it is fails to update, the game fails to launch. So bummed.
Left this download overnight, when i wake up "There was an issue with the server and you have been disconnected"; Oh boy i sure want to wait another 19 hours of download!
What's up with these priests losing their purses? Reminds me of some facebook games where you can only do a certain amount of tasks per day and then you have to pay to do more. [editline]23rd August 2014[/editline] Apparently right now we win 5 labor points per 5 minutes, but i heard somewhere it's gonna be 1 labor point per 5 minutes if you're f2p and you have to be logged in to get them. That just won't do for me and i'm saving my monies for GTA V.

It was shift and click, but it still takes a long-ass time.
I stole 5 trees how much jail time can i expect. whatever i got a bow #worth
I keep uprooting clusters of trees I see belonging to players near questing areas. I know finding a spot for a farm is hard, but there are still several spots to place scarecrow gardens, which is about enough for most of your planting needs. This is on the alpha server by the way, where everyone can place a farm because we all were both rich and dumb enough to have used cash money on this game.
I'm a level 14 nuian paladin with no labor left. The game's started to get very hard to level up. Where should I get some decent quests?
I'm in this clusterfuck right now waiting for the quest to begin... A long-ass time. Just keep doing quests at the area containing enemies corresponding to your level until you are able to get to the next main story (green) quest.
