I hate how my Elk is always 1-2 levels ahead. Sometimes i think he looks down on me. I'm probably gonna buy that bunny thing. Is it worth it? Is it better than the Elk? I suppose it's faster and jumps higher.
The Yatas are faster but take less hits to die. I just discovered the problems regarding F2P for the first time. I figure if you wanna do good tradequests you gotta have your own farm because even the first real blue-salt brotherhood quest requires a place to plant grapetrees or something which are not allowed on a public farm And I ran out of labor just when I wanted to craft a mace for my Doomlord, so I have higher magic output aswell
Just because most people even experienced players don't know this if you go to White Arden and go north there is a HUGE public farm only for trees. On the Alpha server there is plenty of space and probably same on beta servers too as the area is so massive. There is a ranch for animals in the Dewstone plains and in Cinderstonemoor for you to raise larger animals.

I think the game pretty much just admits it's a themepark MMO in the quests I'm doing at the moment: [t]http://i.minus.com/ibiCB3XL9XeOgd.jpg[/t] At least it's easier than the quest where I had to forcefeed coconuts to weresharks and then kill them in order to extract the coconuts from their bellies and give the half-digested coconuts to some rich aristocrat guy as food. Needless to say, I've pretty much stopped following what the story is in most of the areas I'm at and just try to rush through the leveling.

Just completed the main quest at level 19, not sure where to go next as the surrounding areas have absolutely no quests. I might head back and find some blue salt quests I skipped. What else is there for me to do? I'm currently on the ollo server, do we have any pirate guilds there?
That means I could grow gooselings and grapetrees even without having my own scarecrow farm but they're still gonna be protected for a time?
Yes they will be protected. Trees and animals can take longer to grow and harvest so I am unsure as to how much longer they give you protection for as I never needed to use public areas as I got a farm.
So does the game become a deathmatch when it comes to relations between the races of the two opposite continents? I tried reaching the other continent for fun and I got attacked the second I touched the ground I expected no less but it was quite disappointing
Just found a place with dozens of iron mines popping up everywhere but i have no labor. It takes 10 minutes to get enough labor to mine one and 10 more if there's a Fortune Mine. I'm not liking this :(

I decided to take some pictures while on sightseeing: [t]http://i.minus.com/iZxmziCxrD6Qa.jpg[/t] It looked something like some kind of grotesque furry torture porn except the humans had their clothes on and it was all gear about 10 levels above mine. It's not that fun.
It's pretty bad, I really don't like the idea that I can't meet and play with my friends if they decide to go with another race, and going to the other continent is a death sentence if you don't have a group with you. Guess I really need to find a guild to play with
After I reached level 35 with my firran I got a quest to go over to the other continent. Also I got attacked by a giant fucking jellyfish which was like the size of one of those big boats on my way there, it scared the shit out of me. Somehow I survived.
So playing with some mates, we went out to do some deep sea mining, got a ton of ore and right as were going home my mate made a terrible pun and then said I could be the teams mining bitch because im a huge faggot. Gained 15 infamy that day.
You can't start from 8k labor the max on your account is 5k what game are you playing. Also I guess you're comparing to deep-sea mining. Deep-Sea mining isn't efficient. There's a LOT of time spent looking for and/or competing for stone nodes, if Cinderstone is at war you run the risk of being killed, and you have to either buy water breathing potions or have a boat with oxygen tanks. [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline] Yeah so let's waste even more money for XP compared to using 5k labor and crafting hereafter stones. no. [editline]22nd August 2014[/editline] You can't insult someone for that, because the way you said it wasn't right. You can't "start from" 8k, you would start from 5k, use 1000, use a potion, use 1000, use a potion, etc etc. That's no different than my method I just didn't have or want to buy worker's comp potions
Deep sea mining was never mentioned and people who do it are megadumb cinderstone moor is an easy 3 levels off of a full 10k haul or whatever the labor would be. If you're making about a thousand gold in a couple days I'd love to know your method tho lol

And the most important fact, you might get cool lions and stuff, but we don't look like furrys and animus, hah
Im making a Nuian human in the release because they're just the least stupid.
They look like they're sponsored by some kind of hair product, though. I mean they keep having that silky smooth hair, ~because they're worth it~. I'm playing a firran because it's one of the few races that actually look like they have hair on their head.
They look like they're sponsored by some kind of hair product, though.
This, however, applies to all races. Except for the furrys because no one could afford sponsoring that much hair.

I'm tempted to go with an elf for release mostly because of the racial bonuses but again their hair are so ugh [editline]25th August 2014[/editline] Also I'm late for the party but
I hate how my Elk is always 1-2 levels ahead. I'm mentor level on Kyprosa if anyone needs a mentor lemme know.

Does archery have the only bleed causing spell?
elk's level 25 ability can jump 25 meters though and they have a "run" ability at level 1 which boosts their movement speed by +50%
Ah good to know, I thought all starting pets had the same abilities, turns out it's just the lions that are pretty shit
Ah good to know, I thought all starting pets had the same abilities, turns out it's just the lions that are pretty shit
if anything lions are probably decent combat related (tank) pets elks are more ranger-related from what i can tell. you can shoot fancy arrows while mounted on them, but they have terrible health (they die in ~4 hits from basic mobs)
I suppose, not what I'm personally looking in a mount I guess What's the cooldown on the elk's jump anyway? Cause the yatta is 2 seconds Also, found this and it's pretty useful for F2P people: http://www.reddit.com/r/archeage/comments/25jn6v/tip_public_farms/
I suppose, not what I'm personally looking in a mount I guess What's the cooldown on the elk's jump anyway? Cause the yatta is 2 seconds
according to the wiki, the yatta has the highest base speed of all mounts, but doesn't have a skill to increase it's speed for 1/3rd of the time. (although the donkey has a higher w/pack speed) the elk's jump has a cooldown of 15 seconds yatta has a movement speed of 9.9m/s, and w/pack is 2.5m/s. the elk has a movement speed of 8.5m/s, and if you use it's level 1 skill as soon as you can every time, it actually has an average movement speed of ~9.92m/s however it's w/pack speed is only 1.7m/s You can't increase the speed/jump while carrying a pack with an elk though, but you're better off using a donkey if you're carrying a pack in the first place.
Get a Snowmane Snowlion they are incredibly fast. [t]http://www.mmomounts.com/sites/default/files/styles/lightboxsize/public/Roar-of-the-Earth-mount.jpg?itok=l7mEXOPh[/t] They move at 10.1 and have 2 speed boosts. The first is the standard 50% faster but the second will propel you further and faster than any other mount and also makes you invincible for 3 seconds. If you want speed this is by far the best mount to go for.
p sure it doesn't have a massive jump though checkmate
Well shit, I guess I've reached that part of the game at this point: [t]http://i.minus.com/ibnbSznM08psKV.jpg[/t] Anyway, I decided to do another adventure in Nuira today. Of course, this time I was not looking to find a spot to pop down my scarecrow farm nor was I doing any trade runs. Instead, I came in with one objective: I wanted to steal a puppy. My adventure started in Haleconya (or whatever that murderpit of death and constant wars was called) and I quickly went on the track up north, trying to see if I could find any small towns where little dogs may happen to be sold. Now, I wasn't expecting the world to be safer, though. You seem to notice how powerful the guards in towns are when they're suddenly moving around and being hostile. Worst of all, none of the merchants appeared to be in the mood for some peaceful training In fact they all just dropped whatever they were doing and gave me an angry glare when I moved by them. This sure is a scary continent, indeed. [t]http://i.minus.com/ibnZto9MEEKOTj.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/i8zAls08yxm4N.jpg[/t] That giant castle town thing was full of guards who wanted new rugs, there was no chance of me getting through there without a spear through my throat. Skip a bit ahead and after some gliding, some exploring and some death, I get awfully close to what looks like the place I was searching for. Surely enough, I later found myself looking at merchants selling little adorable doggies in a small town. It sure would have been a lot nicer if I could get just a little bit closer before a guard noticed that the tail on some random wanderer sure looked suspicious before coming to the conclusion that it had to be chopped off for the betterment of humanity. [t]http://i.minus.com/iD0uF6Pkyn0YT.jpg[/t] However, I was not planning on giving up just yet. After moving across the entire area again, I finally managed to sneak my way in and pick a puppy. [t]http://i.minus.com/ib0Vm5g9GEA5zF.jpg[/t] Now that I had the canine companion stuffed in a bag, I was so happy that I didn't notice some guy getting ready to push me into a nearby guard. The guard simply had to point his spear in my general direction in order to get an impaled firran stuck to it only a moment later. [t]http://i.minus.com/i2hIwmoHM3NH7.jpg[/t] I was surprised he for some reason spoke a language that did not sound like gibberish to me. Anyway, now finally being done with my mission in the lands coated red with feline blood, I noticed some asshole had uprooted another players trees. As a departing gift, I proceeded to plant the trees I couldn't fit in my garden in their place for so to glide to the portal that lead back to the eastern continent. [t]http://i.minus.com/ieokOZ7D8mX6W.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/iPCnh9CwUJH5s.jpg[/t] Stay tuned for my next adventure where I participate in some hardcore interspecies animal raising!
That spot looks familiar, they may be my footprints. Yup:
I was looking for a quiet spot to plant some stuff, I thought "nobody would think of going up this mountain, hopefully I'll find a patch of dirt" And what do you know, the only patch of dirt around had a dozen grown, unclaimed plants of the same kind I was looking to plant. Happy days!
according to the wiki, the yatta has the highest base speed of all mounts, but doesn't have a skill to increase it's speed for 1/3rd of the time.
