ArcheAge - A Sandbox MMO with Realistic Queue Action

I just remembered I held off posting about my day yesterday, so I guess I'll do it today instead. So yesterday was pretty quiet. I started doing things I should have done way before, like finally getting that boat, properly searching for a place to put down my scarecrow farm and taking out the laundry. After that, I ended the day by raising a dog while watching the sunset.

Actually, I didn't do any of that. Well, apart from raising the dog, because I totally have a dog now. Anyway, what I was really spending my day doing was of course going back to the land of Nuira!

This time, I set the objective a bit further than the day before. Now my goal was set in Dewstone, where I decided to visit a farm that may be a bit familiar to you guys. In addition to having to get around a cramped farming area full of hostile players, I also set the objective to bring along a bunch of Hanaryan animals and raise them in the small spots between the farms. So with a bag full of weeping kittens, vita roots and milk, I set out on my glider, trying to avoid most of the things in Marianople and making my way to Dewstone.

I ended up landing quite near the farming area I was intending on visiting. Once close enough, I immediately started sneaking through the fields and hiding behind houses, staying out of the sight of busy humans who were attending to the various plants they were ready to process into whatever substance that is able to keep their hair so silky smooth and comically saturated.
After some time, I've got to admit I got a bit confused as I had a hard time getting a close enough look on every house while still trying to keep a healthy distance. However, I finally concluded that I had found the right place when I saw someone familiar running around it.

Now that I've finally found the spot, I made my way around, trying to find a safe place to dump some animals. I've got to say that the people I found weren't as aggressive as I had initially anticipated. Most of them were pretty much just minding their own business rather than paying attention to the random resident with a tail who happened to be sneaking by. As I got more comfortable, I stared finding myself spending more time out of stealth and got the courage to approach the objective and place a couple of kittens relatively near it.

Needless to say, I was taking a bit of a risk with this. I've gotten a bit too close to the goal I was aiming for and had now started paying more attention to the cats I had placed down than I should have given to the guy whom I had at that point lost all sense of where was. Inevitably, I ended up finding myself suddenly face to face with him and was completely paralyzed as I didn't exactly have any way to communicate with the enemy, nor did I have any idea of what to do in this situation. During the initial awkward staring staring contest, I panicked and took a few steps back as the unintelligible witness started showing increasingly aggressive behavior, making roars as if getting ready for combat and taking steps forward to counter my backpedaling.
When the situation escalated to its peak, he finally snapped and pulled out his weapon before making his attack. Knowing by tradition that this is a fight I could not win, I instantly made the attempt to run back to the kittens I had placed down and started giving them water in order to reveal my true intention. However, I quickly found out that it was to no avail as I was struck down and ended up taking the rest of the punishment. I had made a huge risk that ended up getting myself into a hard situation and with that the human got a new rug and there was very little in this world I was able to do once diplomacy failed.

However, despite getting flayed alive and hanged on a wall, I still decided to make another attempt at getting this mission done. However, this time nobody was guarding the place and I had free reign to put down the rest of the animals and starting to raise them.

It actually went quite well, I seemed to have all the time in the world and was not interrupted once, but the problem first arrived when I ran into a little issue: I was out of water for the thirsty little critters! After running around the place to find a well, I got to a place where I thought I could find some water, but all I found were merchants selling nothing but angry looks.
[t]http://i.minus.com/iUukUYjKRekpW.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/i4y6AJ3jqmW04.jpg[/t]
Fortunately, I managed to eventually find my way to the well. Unfortunately, so had also the rather large group of people surrounding it.
[t]http://i.minus.com/ibdQ7w8kDk5D5P.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/i0w2PGh1ucAL5.jpg[/t]
However, as I have already realized, the people around the area didn't seem to raise too many eyebrows at me when I approached them to draw some water from the well, which I used to finally raise the rest of the animals.

So that's the story of how I managed to raise a couple of snowlions and leomorphs as well as a cat right outside of what I could only assume to be the FP guild's headquarters. I accidentally picked up a snowlion and was supposed to raise the other two cats, but 6 out of 9 is a reliable bet in my opinion.

Beyond me how you even manage to find people that won't instantly try to murder you on sight, what server are you even playing on?
Are we going to have a FP guild for release? if so we should probably decide what server we're going to use
This was on the alpha server in an area that is not threatened by war. I guess the reason why nobody bothered to attack me was because they don't actually seem to get anything for doing so.
I guess the reason why nobody bothered to attack me was because they don't actually seem to get anything for doing so.
That has never been a problem for the people I meet, warzone or not everyone tries to kill me
From what I heard after a war has ended the zone enters a period of truce where no pvp is allowed but I've never even seen it happen, does it not show up on the map or what?
So the door in Sharpwind Mines that you unlock with the lion's eye to get the bomb pushed me into the rock and I couldn't get out

I jumped down into the abyss but managed to survive the fall

What level did you guy start trading and farming
(Pictures and words was here)
Whoopsie doodle I had no idea that was you. Generally when you see enemy faction people in your housing areas they are there to try and nab a piece of land they know is going to become free soon. I kind of assumed the worst. I actually realized what you was up to when I saw the animals after I had killed you.

You wasn't the only Haranyan I killed yesterday I saw some fool trying to bring a trade pack to the Crescent Throne. Didn't get that far. Now I think about it he could of been doing the Haranyan version of the farm quest.

(from a random reddit post)
So I just got my press copy of this...what do I need to know?
Follow the green quests during the start of the game, they stop showing up around level 30, which is where the game really opens up.
I went straight to farming when i got the trading quest :v: level 11

A good way to turn a profit, especially at the beginning is trade packs. Spend the 2-3 gold making one and you get almost twice as much just transporting it within your continent.
Do I join Alpha server or Beta? And are they all up at the minute?
Do I join Alpha server or Beta? And are they all up at the minute?
Alpha is up 24/7, Beta is only up during certain dates like Closed beta event or Upcoming Open beta (To be announced)
Do I join Alpha server or Beta? And are they all up at the minute?
If you can join alpha do it. Considering when you got your press key, you likely have alpha access. If you need any help with stuff feel free to ask me ingame, my ingame name is the same as my FP name, assuming you're on alpha.
Do I join Alpha server or Beta? And are they all up at the minute?
Alpha is up consistently, but as a result is not the latest version of the game. Beta is basically their way of showing "hey we made some hella cool updates check it out ok thanks we're gonna go make more now"
For the sake of reviewing, you'll wanna save any sort of major judgement for the next beta weekend, seeing as that'll be all manners of new shit that we'll probably never see till OB, but Alpha still gives a good representation of how the game will end up being
This just in: open beta starts 9/4, official release 9/16
So 9/12 for those who purchased. Yay, on a weekend! That's some great head-start
Really excited about the headstart being on the weekend.
oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy
is there gonna be fp guild or are you guys in ur own groups? my brother and i are gonna be playing together, but we're not in a group atm
So the game launches 9/16 so I hear. What server will y'all play on?
Funny that the founder packs disappeared off Steam when I persuaded my cousin to buy it
Lets hope they come back before the game's out
Funny that the founder packs disappeared off Steam when I persuaded my cousin to buy it

You can still buy the packs from archeagegame.com/en/shop/
I am so exited that soon I can start a new character and never have to worry about progress being wiped.
Also I don't even know what the launch servers will be named we need to decided what server we will pick.
You can still buy the packs from archeagegame.com/en/shop/
True but he got Steam credit
there are two sure choices right now. fiest server (top of the list) and last server :v:
also i highly doubt founderpacks will be availiable on steam anymore
We also have to figure out if we're gonna make a EU/NA guild or one for each.
Rate Informative for EU
Rate Useful for NA
Depending on the amount, we could try moving to the one with the most people.
This game already has such horrendous latency issues that i can't really play overseas with you guys.
[editline]30th August 2014[/editline]
My point being we'll need 2 guilds.
