Alexojm, you do seem to have a vast ingame knowledge yet. A buddy in school recommended me to go for the blue salt quest as soon as the headstart's open to get a quick bigger farm instead of questing through all the quests till level 35. Is that correct, or would you recommend leveling more quickly instead?
If your intention is to get hold of a 16x16 land as fast as possible before you lose your chance then you will be going about things wrong. It takes barely any time at all to reach 15 gilda stars (Like maybe an hour or two) and with that you can buy a blueprint for a 16x16 house and go plant it down to kind of reserve the spot. Now go do the blue salt quests to get the farm and demolish the house and plant the farm down instead. You will get the house blueprint back and if there is space you can build the house too and if you don't want it you will be able to sell it for a really high price once all the land is gone and prices inflate. To get a large farm from blue salt quests would take an entire day as you would have to do a total of 4 trade runs most of them without a donkey or fast boat on launch. You would have to go from Solzreed to Memoria then hand in the quest to go from Memoria to Crescent Throne. Then you got to hand in that quest to make Lilyut cooking oil and take it to Marianople and hand in that quest to now go on the ridiculous task of getting Dewstone Distilled Liquor from the Dewstone Plains to Austera that is in the Solis Headlands on the other continent. Now between each quest you will have to acquire the materials to craft each pack and hand in and pick up each new quest meaning once you drop off the first trade pack you cannot just craft the next one and go straight back you have to travel back to the quest giver first. So yeah just get a house to reserve yourself the spot all you have to do is complete 15 main story line quests and you do this somewhere between level 10 and 18. It should take no longer than 1 or 2 hours. [editline]9th September 2014[/editline] Something many players are going to be doing is completing the story really fast to get 50 guilda stars so they can buy a townhouse that is 24x24 and can be put in the normal areas. It has a thatched house the size as a 15 guilda star house and the same amount of farm land to plant on as a large farm. Completing the story whilst rushing could be done in a couple of days probably before the head start finishes. This will mean however sacrificing your 50 guilda stars for the house instead of getting a boat (the clipper) and you will have to buy one for gold later.
Patrick and I will be rushing through story, I'll grab a clipper and he'll grab a farmhouse, you should join us in that. Then I can help with the blue salt quests later on as well.
Don't forget me.
oh yeah, and that guy [editline]9th September 2014[/editline] Also, reminding people that we'll be rolling on EU Kyprosa, western continent.
So that I can guaranty myself a 16x16 spot of land I will sacrifice 15 guilda and plant a house a couple of hours after the head start begins and will have to get my clipper a few days later than I would like from doing dailies. Once I get the large farm if there is space for both the house and farm I will keep both but if there is only space for one I will demolish the house and use the farm and keep hold of the house blueprint for later as the farm is more important for bringing in money early on in the game. I will be splitting the trade packs I hand in each day for resources and guilda so I can make a bit of money and work towards a war ship design over time.
Alright, I got that. Thanks for the informative reply, guess I will do the 16x16 house tactic aswell, seems like the most safe and quick way to get a bigger farm
Man you guys are so serious business First few days I'm going to screw around, do some quests and then regret it when I can't find a place to build :downs:
Man you guys are so serious business
I wish I was serious business but my new mmo mouse has not arrived yet and I was hoping it would come before the end of open beta so I could set up my side buttons and get a feel for where I want all of my skills on it before launch. The mouse is probably going to finally arrive tomorrow but nobody will be home to sign for it so I wont even get it until a day before head start meaning I wont even get a feel for the mouse until a day before launch.

In exchange for a little price..
Is there any place left to buy the game for cheaper than what Trion wants? Since it came off Steam all of the cheaper steam key places are out of stock including Kinguin and all the russians trading for tf2 keys
So guys which server will y'all be playing on? I'm still undecided.
So guys which server will y'all be playing on? I'm still undecided.
EU Kyprosa, western continent. [editline]11th September 2014[/editline] As they have not said what time Head start starts I hope it is the same as when the alpha and beta servers started that being 6pm UK time as I now have to go to a job interview tomorrow for part time work on the weekends whilst I am in college this year. [editline]11th September 2014[/editline] Also because mounts have been normalized to the same speeds this means the snowmane snowlion is once again the fastest mount because of its last ability. Man, I actually got a beta invitation a while ago and I didn't get to use it qq was busy back then I've read some of the thread, is this game seriously that great? It sounds too good to be true.
Man, I actually got a beta invitation a while ago and I didn't get to use it qq was busy back then I've read some of the thread, is this game seriously that great? It sounds too good to be true.
I heard about this game years ago and it sounded like my dream game and made sure to keep an eye on it. Once alpha came around I decided to wait to hear what people thought of it and most people said it was amazing and what it said on the tin and I kept away for almost the entire alpha as I could not believe it would be true. A month and a bit before end of alpha I bought a pack really skeptical not wanting to believe as I didn't want to be let down again and I love it. I never play mmo's and this one made me buy a mouse just for it. This is the latest Naga 2014 model and it finally arrived yesterday a week after I ordered. (Got the mouse mat too because my desk was getting warn. The mat covers a large space as I move my mouse around quite a bit.) [t]http://static.dyp.im/XsDJGCxZ2h/bec1cb9a37fbee8bd51dfc0312a1fb30.jpg[/t] [t]http://static.dyp.im/8rsJ59vXzu/6300f9c5b304408303f82edacb50ba2e.jpg[/t] [t]http://static.dyp.im/F6eh78kwXo/11d068adb878ab1d220c98f6dd28e608.jpg[/t] Has a great feel and the side buttons are all angled in a different way and it surprisingly works well at telling your brain where your thumb is. The software is great because I never used my numpad and the buttons on it are considered their own so if you bind the mouse keys to those you can use both the mouses side buttons and the numbers going across your keyboard for different skills. Other mmo mice use the numbers going across your keyboard so you aren't actually gaining any new buttons but the razer software lets you rebind the Nagas to the numpad keys so you are effectively gaining 12 new independent buttons because most people don't use their numpad.
You barely spoke about the game and instead ended up reviewing a mouse lol I found ArcheAge really fun, though it sucked playing by myself. Hoping my friend and I will find the time to play together.
When's the game go public? 12 or 14 or something right?
You barely spoke about the game and instead ended up reviewing a mouse lol I found ArcheAge really fun, though it sucked playing by myself. Hoping my friend and I will find the time to play together.
I have spoken about the game and how it works over many pages of the thread so I did not see a point in just repeating myself so instead would just put across the point that this game was enough to make me buy a new mouse. (That and I need an excuse to show off my mouse now I finally have it.) [editline]11th September 2014[/editline]
When's the game go public? 12 or 14 or something right?
16th for the release and 12th for head start.

i have never played this game and I plan to play it with a few friends is there anything specific I'll need to know? :v:
They did say. 10AM Pacific Standard Time
Ah I missed that and this is good it is the same as when alpha and closed/open beta opened.
i have never played this game and I plan to play it with a few friends is there anything specific I'll need to know? :v:
If you intend to play on launch prepare to be surrounded by many people and when you get to areas where there aren't many npc's to kill for a quest ask to join the raid as there will undoubtedly be a bunch of them going. As long as you are in the raid even if you don't lay a finger on the mobs you will auto get quest completion when other in the raid kill the npc's. If you can keep up with the raid you will just fly through the beginner quests at the cost of some xp unless you make sure to kill stuff.
Thanks people, everything's sounding cool so far. I can't really spend money atm so I'm only joining on Tuesday or later that week. EU Kyprosa west, right? I'll keep that in mind
what wad the ts server again?
what wad the ts server again?
I think we used profan's. I'm not sure if he wants the IP given out willy nilly, though.
i remember being posted on this thread once
It's prfn.se then
Is Glyph really not going to let me patch pre-launch?
I played a bit of the beta, cant fucking wait to roll around dunking scrubs in pvp
if you have a house and don't sub for a couple months, do you lose just the land or the entire house and have to rebuild it?
GAMEPLAY The drop rate of loot bags from monsters has significantly increased. The drop rate of Sunlight Archeum, Moonlight Archeum, and Starlight Archeum from loot bags has been greatly increased. The chance of equipment from loot bags has increased from monsters. These items can be salvaged to gain archeum. The Solid Shaft recipe is available again, allowing for the construction of fishing boats. INTERFACE The Auction House can now be searched using German and French. MARKETPLACE The Marketplace inventory has been reorganized in terms of Featured Items and categorization of consumables. The Additional Character Slot item has been added. Accounts may have a maximum of six character slots per region but a limit of four character slots per server. The Workman's Compensation labor potion has been returned to 12-hour cooldown and price of 300 Credits. The Auction House License permitting non-Patrons to create Auction House listings has been added. It is not tradable. OTHER The priority server login queue for Patrons is now even faster. COMING SOON Cosmetic Costumes: A future build will remove the stats from all costumes that are obtained or crafted in-game, much like stats were removed from costumes on the Marketplace. Similar to the normalization of mount speeds, this change is to prevent power creep and stat inflation while also promoting costume choice and preventing "best" items to be wearing to maximize your character's gameplay. Improved Anti-Spam: XLGAMES is delivering a way for us to integrate our internally-developed anti-spam technology which learns over time and then kills spam and spammers before you see either even once. Expect more details on this to be announced next week. NOTES This patch is less than 200MB large from the Open Beta client (8.6GB large as a new installation) and is available for download now from Glyph. Note that Head Start begins September 12 at 10:00 AM PDT (GMT-7).
Patch notes mofos
